This is an absolutely inexcusable issue that has been going on for 6 months…read more My husband was found to have an enlarged thyroid at a routine exam this Fall (October 2025). He received an ultrasound which showed a large nodule which should be biopsied. He was scheduled for the biopsy in November, but when he arrived he was informed there was a "mistake" in scheduling and staff had scheduled another ultrasound rather than the biopsy. He was then rescheduled for the end of December, and received the biopsy, only to be stressed and upset during the procedure by Muhlenberg staff openly and loudly complaining about having to do the Time Out Procedure, which is a routine standard of care. He was later notified that there was insufficient specimen collected and the lab was not able to obtain a result for the biopsy. Nevertheless, he was still required to pay over $1200 (with insurance!) for no result. The repeat biopsy was rescheduled for today, May 13, 2026. We arrived at 17th street on time for the procedure as instructed, at 0730, even though directions to find the right area were absent or lacking. We sat in the waiting area until a staff member notified us at about 0820 that the provider was not here yet. At about 0845, the Nurse Manager of the ASU OR at 17th street notified us that the Doctor was not present and there was yet another mistake in scheduling. The ASU had been told the Doctor would be present today but he was actually at Cedar Crest rounding or seeing patients in the office there apparently, meaning ALL the patients scheduled for procedures with him today at the 17th Street ASU were now going to have to be rescheduled. This is the third major issue my husband has had to deal with while trying to get a simple biopsy completed by LVHN. He is extremely reluctant to get ANY type of medical care to begin with, and now has to be convinced to get this important biopsy done because he feels like giving up. The numerous mistakes by LVHN have caused a 6 month delay in getting this biopsy and the patient is now reluctant to return for care at all. He has had to take off of work numerous times now to attempt to get it done, in addition to the time and stress involved. The "care" (not) provided by LVHN has been a complete joke. Zero stars.

After having numerous medical physicals at the Patient First in Allentown, PA for over 6 years,…read more I was denied to have the exam completed today, AFTER I paid for the exam and during the exam "in-progress" after the Vision & Hearing portion, "Vitals" (Height, Weight, Blood Pressure, Pulse Readings) were taken!!! What a waste of time!!! What legitimate medical facility does this....?!?! The All-Female medical facility had a very "Boss-Girls" demeanor toward me and very authoritative conduct & unprofessional tone with me, especially the woman who claimed to be the facility "director". The Director of this unethical and unscrupulous medical facility took payment and started the exam, but later during the exam decided not to follow through with the medical exam. She stated: "that their facility no longer serves the U.S. Merchant Mariners and that the medical form(s) are TOO difficult to process.... (See attached form!) Not difficult at all!!!! Ironically, on the same day, I went to American Family Care nearby, and had a very good experience with their medical professionals, which was $60 less expensive. They (AFC) stated that this form and ALL medical forms for U.S. Merchant Mariners are not difficult. The B.B.B. has numerous bad reviews for Patient First, and none of these reviews are positive, so bad their reviews on BBB, Patient First is NOT BBB accredited!!!! You would would wonder why.... I HIGHLY recommend staying FAR away from this sudo medical facility!!!!!!

You can call the number and leave a message, nobody calls back If you actually wait on the call for an hour, you might get somebody. That person is so rude, does not resolve the issue, places you on hold and doesn't pick up and then disconnect the call. I will not allow my family to go to patient care again because of their billing department. It is absolutely horrendous, and I work in healthcare and never saw anything like it. They withdraw increments of money, without your approval, even though I have an HSA account You can't get the money back because nothing gets resolved

This place has gone seriously downhill in recent years. I've been going here for about 20 years…read morewhen the need arose, and I will no longer be returning. In 2016, I was bullied by a nurse into getting an unnecessary vaccination (I knew my tetanus shot was up to date, but there was no record of it), and Dr. Singer's go-to antibiotic was a fluoroquinolone - it has a BLACK BOX warning and shouldn't be prescribed unless absolutely necessary! During my most recent visit, the nurse practitioner on duty (since there was no doctor there that day) treated me horribly. First, she was skeptical of medications that my PCP had prescribed, and then she didn't even do a complete examination of my shoulder - the reason that I was there. A medical professional should be aware of basic anatomy - the shoulder is NOT just ONE joint, it is FOUR! At this point, I knew she was just being dismissive because she thought I was a drug seeker (based on my medication list), and knew I was just better off getting out instead of wasting my time asking her to do a proper examination. I considered walking out without paying, since they should be paying ME for my time that they wasted. Dr. Barnhurst is the ONLY redeeming doctor at this practice!! He is a great doctor, but unfortunately he has limited hours.

I highly recommend Dr. Braun and the staff here. Will come back if needed while visiting family from out of town.

I could've paid out of pocket, however, we were there for a sports injury and I wasn't paying out of pocket, when I know we are insured. Also, while we were there, two different people came in for COVID tests. Everyone is waiting in the same waiting room. They really should take measures to have COVID patients wait in the car until they can be seen. I ended up going to St Luke's Urgent Care.... They took my cards no problem and insurance covered the visit. Posting 2 stars simply because the gentleman at the front was very nice and did everything he could to try to help.

The wait might be a bit but it's better than being told by your family doctor that he can't see you until two nights from now... bleh. But I give this place 3 stars for the fact that even if you HAVE an appointment, you'd still be waiting just as much as those that walked in... uhhh what? And I give it 2 stars for the fact that it's hit or miss in terms of wait time. Sometimes you wait a decent amount before your name is called (and I think 30-45 minutes is decent since I mostly walk in). Other times it's like they forget about you. Even after you're called into the room, it could be another 45 minutes before anyone even look in on you. In fact, sometimes there might even be a knock on the door to check if there is someone inside!!! The doctors are all nice, some take more time than others, but all are quick to address any concerns you might have. So on average... 3.5/5.0
