This was truly a last resort, and unfortunately, the visit did not meet even basic expectations. The wait time was excessive, especially for what should have been a straightforward visit. What made the experience even more frustrating was the customer service. When we walked in, the front desk staff did not acknowledge us or offer a simple greeting. Instead, they appeared to be engaged in personal conversations and laughing with one another while patients waited to be assisted. A small gesture like making eye contact or saying, "We'll be with you shortly," would have gone a long way. The overall atmosphere felt disorganized and unwelcoming. As a parent, when you are bringing your child in for medical care, you hope to feel that your time is valued and that the staff is focused on patient care. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. I understand that urgent care centers can become busy, and I try to be patient. However, professionalism, communication, and basic courtesy should remain a priority regardless of how busy the office is. Based on this visit, I cannot recommend this location, and I sincerely hope they improve both their customer service and the overall patient experience.

They offer Covid and flu testing with very quick results. The staff are all very professional. The medical assistant is extremely personable. When I expressed that I felt I was being treated disrespectfully and mentioned that I had never experienced this type of interaction from a medical professional before, Dr. Moualla abruptly left the room, leaving the door open, and effectively ended the appointment. To add to the confusion, after the appointment I called the office to obtain the physician's name and was told the doctor was "Dr. Molly." However, the name listed on my prescription was different. This inconsistency left me uncertain about who had actually treated me and further contributed to my concerns about the overall professionalism of the experience. I left the appointment in complete shock by how poorly I was treated. Patients deserve to have their questions answered and concerns addressed with respect, even when there may be disagreements or misunderstandings. Unfortunately, that was not my experience during this visit.

After speaking with someone in Family Care, I was advised to contact my insurance company to correct the billing error. I did so, and a representative from my insurance company spoke with Patty G. to try to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, he was met with resistance and felt disrespected by Patty G., who did not allow him to assist me further. He eventually advised me to speak with Patty G. directly. When I called, I also encountered immediate resistance. Patty G. was unhelpful and ultimately hung up on me. Frustrated, I went to the office in person to try to resolve the matter, but again was treated poorly. Debra came out with her arms crossed, appeared very defensive, and escorted me to the door while threatening to call the police--without giving me the opportunity to explain why I was there. I was humiliated by the treatment I received from both staff members. If I had been treated with respect and professionalism over the phone, I would not have felt the need to visit the office in person. I have been a patient with Family Care since Dr. John Chafos left Medemerge, but due to this experience, I will be seeking medical care elsewhere. I am deeply disappointed by how I was treated and feel that no patient should be made to feel this way.

This team of professionals have been employed by Family Care for many years and you will be able to establish a rapport with the Doctors. You and your family will be treated as valued guests/clients and will not be reduced to just a number on a chart. The owner of the practice, Dr. Chafos is an excellent Physician; kindly, patient, professional and extremely knowledgeable. Personally, I have been a patient of Dr. John Chafos' since before Family Care opened, more than 25 years ago. The medical care and compassion from the entire staff, their attention to detail and overall positive outcomes can not be matched by other medical practices in the area. This facility is quiet and calm and suitable for all age groups, especially children, Seniors and people with special needs. The consultation rooms for individual patients are private, comfortable and always clean. And the office is open for walk-ins all day long, beginning very early in the morning into the late evening hours. It is nice to have the flexibility to visit when the time is right for you. A variety of testing techniques are available (Bloodwork, X-ray, urinalysis, on-site testing for flu/Covid/pneumonia, etc.), popular vaccines are available to be administered. ( Even the Shingles vaccine is available and recommended for individuals over 50.) In addition, a professional Phlebotomist from LabCorp is always on staff. Please, bear in mind, patience is a virtue, this is a well-loved medical practice and you may have a wait time to be seen by the Doctor of your choice on the day of your visit. Happily, there are usually 3-4 Doctors in the office at any given moment, and a multitude of Nursing staff as well. These factors will reduce your overall time spent on your visit. In addition, the Family Care website lists the Doctors on staff for that particular day and location, as well as the schedule for the next following days, so you may best plan out your day. This facility is wheelchair accessible and if you need assistance entering the building, a quick call to the front desk will have a Staff member coming directly out to assist you into the building. A large, off-street parking lot is in available. I have been on a weight loss program under Dr. Chafos' and Dr. Klele's care for the past four years, (without weight-loss medication, but the newer specialized medications may be made available to you if you meet certain criteria). Since Spring of 2019, I have lost more than 100 lbs. or 40% of my body weight, reduced my waist by more than 14 inches, reduced my body fat by 14% and reduced my BMI from 44 to 27 and went from severely obese to almost "normal" BMI. (I am now a size 10, after having lost 9 Jean sizes!!!) During the course of this diet loss program, I reversed my pre-diabetes into a perfect 5.0 A1c! I am currently 19 lbs from goal and will likely make that goal weight before the end of this year, 2023. It has been a long, but fruitful journey and my health has only improved during this time. (If you are in a similar situation, and do not know where to begin, please speak with one of the Doctors, please know they will help you.) If you are seeking a team of Dedicated Doctors and healthcare professionals whom will listen to your needs and concerns, then I do recommend that you visit and consult with one of the many available Doctors (all long-term employed) and plan of a course of action to coordinate your return to excellent health. The staff was extremely friendly and caring and able to understand what my needs were. I am new to this practice, and they came highly recommended. I saw Dr. Andrzej Torbus, he is very through, kind, and genuinely interested in what my concerns were. I saw him two tImes, the first was to get familiar with the practice, and get recommendations and referrals to other specialist in my plan. The second visit was for medical clearance, I am having knee surgery. Both times Dr. Torbus walked in happy and smiling, and I never felt rushed. He put me at ease, and answered all of my questions. He was able to recommend routine yearly exams that I needed to have since I was a little behind. This practice is part of Atlantic Health System. Most of my information was already in their system. Dr. Torbus could see some of my previous records and dates. All I had to do was update my insurance information. The process was very easy. I love that they have an online system called "My Chart." You sign in and can access all of your medical records, tests, appointments,that are part of Atlantic Health,and even send an email directly to the doctor and his staff. Any other doctor associated with Atlantic Health System that I've seen will also be in "My Chart." This practice is located alittle down from the center of town in Warren. . There is also free parking in their lot. There are rows and rows of medical buildings up and down Mountain Ave. RT 22 and 78 are both accessible from this office. I was here for a work physical as it was the required location. I saw Dr Bellamy who was professional and quick at his job, no complaints there. I would say the staff behind the front desk definitely were not as friendly and patient as I expected. They were polite with me as I was prepared for my appointment and had all my necessary paperwork as instructed. I observed the staff being less than patient and polite with older other patients which I can understand when a patient is difficult and raises their voice. Once inside, it was clear the facility is long overdue for an update. The interior had a musty, old smell, which wasn't very welcoming. Once in the exam room I was a little disgusted by how much dust and how gross the counters and computer inside the exam room was but thankfully I was in and out quickly. Despite these issues, the staff was professional and helpful, making the visit manageable. I was referred by my brother who is a doctor to Dr Andrzej Torbus because I was in pain and needed to be seen right away for possible surgery, and a few other issues. I met with Dr. Torbus who I really like. He walked in with a smile and he was very upbeat each of the times I saw him for my appointments. I explained my issues and he addressed each and every one of them. I never felt rushed and I was given a through exam. Dr. Torbus put me at ease gave me samples of prescription medication to try. I had to go to LabCorp for further blood work then what was done in the office. Several days later I called Dr. Torbus's office because I wasn't quite sure when I went into the "My Chart" what my test results meant. Within two hours Dr. Torbus called me back and explained all of my test results to me and reassured me. The office staff has been very professional and compassionate. The MA's also are very kind. Dr. Torbus is a wonderful diagnostician. I found him to be professional, but also have a sense of humor. If your looking for a new primary care physician or just want to change, I highly suggest trying Dr. Torbus
