Ointment that's supposed to be on the open would, not even on it at all, that part of my knee/leg had no burn. #imbecile
    Ms J.

I went to Medemerge on Friday to get some follow up tests and while there had them "put something" on a burn on my leg from the day before. Instead of the usual private rooms, I was in a makeshift hospital/clinic type setting behind curtains, which would not have been a problem if the lady with COVID coughing up a lung with no damn mask on, wasn't right on the other side. Ask me how I know: the nurse told the man with her "we will show you how to make her comfortable, whole keeping yourself safe", WELL WHAT ABOUT KEEPING ME SAFE? Also, and what led me to write this review is, I've had this bandage on my knee for TWO DAYS, covering it with plastic to shower etc. JUST so the ointment/medication they "put on the burn@ would work as long as it could, because they gave me nothing to take with me, and I see NONE OF IT WAS EVEN ON THE WOUND, BUT COMPLETELY UNDER IT! Medemerge often annoys me when I go there, but this is damn ridiculous.

    Line to give phone number

I've been here twice in the past month to get the antigen rapid coronavirus test. This place is run liked a well oiled machine. They are open 7 days a week including Christmas. They open at 8a but people start lining up outside only around 6a. The line moves very fast and you just walk up and give your phone number and the staff will let you know when to return. ( They will say 1 hr, 2 hrs etc. and then they will ring your phone.) They only take people up to a certain time because they do such high volume testing. They were the first in the area to get the rapid tests. The staff is so well versed in how long it will take that they call exactly when promised. You do not have to wait there but if it's only an hour then I suggest you do. Most people wait in their cars if it's a short time. Everything is outside and everyone wears a mask and social distances 6 feet. Once called to get in line and then you just tell the person you've already registered and then they put you in another line which is very short and you go inside and give a photo ID and insurance info. Within a few minutes you are in their system co-pay or not. If you don't have insurance then it's around $175 for the rapid Covid test. Since it was my second time returning it went much faster because I was already in their system. Once that is done you just go outside around the back and there's a tent. Within minutes your name is called and there's a Doctor who will ask why you're there and what you need. I got a rapid Covid test, flu test, and a strep test within seconds. Some people have a sinus infection, or bronchitis or other symptoms. They treat everything. There are people there who speak Spanish for anyone who isn't proficient in English. The staff are all very nice. Once finished within an hour. I received a phone call and text. Usually they only get a call if you're positive or a text if you're negative. The process seems complicated but it is very easy and the results are quick compared to CVS which is several days to get answers. I highly recommend this place if you don't have a permanent doctor or you need a quick rapid coronavirus test. They are located 1 block from RT 22 East on Washington Ave. They do have a very large parking lot which gets filled quickly but people come and go all day long. If that is full there's parking across the street or right next-door in the abandoned business formerly the Willows parking lot.

Disappointed and Deeply Concerned About My Father's Care…read more I am writing this review with deep concern and disappointment over the care my father received during his recent admissions to JFK Hospital. My father, an 83-year-old man who was living at home and managing his daily activities on his own, was admitted to JFK on August 19, 2025, after experiencing sudden weakness in both legs. Despite our repeated concerns about a possible stroke -- including noticeable weakness on his right side -- the emergency room staff kept him under observation for three days without ordering an MRI. We requested an MRI multiple times and were told it wasn't necessary. On August 22, the hospital was planning to discharge him home, as they couldn't find anything wrong with him, despite the fact that he couldn't walk on his own. We had to advocate strongly and insist that he be sent to a rehab facility for physical therapy, even though we suspected a possible stroke. My dad had experienced a stroke back in 2013, so we were particularly concerned. When I visited him at the rehab facility on August 25, he was in a wheelchair and unable to move his right hand or even hold a spoon. This was alarming, especially since he hadn't been like this before his hospital admission. On August 26, while at dialysis, he was sent back to JFK ER for evaluation of worsening right-sided weakness. This time, a doctor said an MRI would be ordered -- but when I followed up on August 27, there was no order in the system. Again, we had to advocate hard for proper care. I contacted the Patient Advocate, and only then was he moved to the stroke unit, and an MRI was finally done on August 28 -- nine days after his original ER visit. Later that evening, after inquiring about the MRI results, we were told the results were abnormal and that the doctor would call us the next day to discuss them. I made it clear that I needed to be contacted at work, but no one ever called. On August 29, I followed up by calling the unit and speaking with the nurse in charge of my father's care. She was unable to provide the results and said the doctor would call me. However, since no doctor called me back, I reached out to the Patient Advocate again for assistance. It wasn't until August 31, when I asked the nurse in charge of my father's care to request that the doctor speak with us during a visit, that we were finally informed by the attending physician that the MRI showed a recent stroke. Had we not consistently advocated for my father, his stroke may have gone undiagnosed. I strongly urge others to advocate relentlessly for their family members in this system -- your voice may be the only thing that ensures they get the care they need. No one has presented a clear care plan to our family, and the overall communication has been severely lacking. It is both heartbreaking and frustrating to witness such neglect and delay in care, particularly for an elderly patient who cannot express his needs due to his age and condition. The lack of urgency and thorough evaluation was unacceptable. It feels as though his condition was minimized simply because of his age. This entire experience highlights a breakdown in basic communication and a failure to provide timely, appropriate care. Please advocate fiercely for your loved ones. You should not have to fight this hard to ensure they receive the appropriate medical attention. JFK Hospital has deeply disappointed me, and I sincerely hope they take serious steps to improve how they treat and communicate with patients and their families. We will not be bringing my father back to JFK Hospital in the future.

Let me be real with you - After reading the most recent Yelp reviews of the Florham Park location,…read moreI walked in this morning a bit nervous about my CAC scan at Summit Medical Group. I'd been scheduled for this scan by my primary care physician during my annual checkup exam, so I didn't see what Yelp had to say about Florham Park beforehand. Boy was I surprised when I looked online and saw all the 1-Stars and testimonials (!!!) Because of the timing, there was no backing out or way for me to schedule somewhere else. So I went in this morning with some trepidation. Fortunately I had a good patient experience overall. For imaging, I would definitely come back to the Florham Park location again (140 Park Ave Building). Pros: ** Easy to drive there off of Columbia Turnpike. It's close to FDU -Florham. ** Nice campus. It's huge with more than ample parking and even covered parking structures for bad weather ** Imaging department is located as soon as you enter the main entrance doors of 140. It will be to your left. ** The waiting room is nice and they had HGTV playing on the TV ** The woman at Registration was polite, friendly, and informative ** The technician who performed my scan was professional, knowledgeable, and patient with explaining to me what would happen (which I really appreciate) ** The facilities once you enter past the registration area, equipment, and rooms looked good to me. There's a hallway with blue flowers painted on the walls, and on the ceiling above the machine there are images of the sky and flowers (so you can focus on those and relax while you are being x-rayed). Cons: ** So far, none... It's too early for the results and billing didn't happen yet. Hopefully the results will be uploaded to the portal in a timely fashion (in contrast to a fellow Yelper's review from last month). I don't know if that's a Summit Health computer system thing or human error though. We'll see what happens. Again, I would definitely come back to the Florham Park location (140 Park Ave) in the future for imaging services.

BUT I would never go back as I STILL haven't received ALL of The results and it's been 10 days. The girl/ woman who answered the phone in imaging apparently shouldn't be as she was quite curt. I eventually called my Dr. and he called back to give me results. PS. I still see nothing in my "portal" and the girl said it will be uploaded . LOLOLOL. Sad that people who have jobs can't handle them. Thank goodness I go for most of my care at RWJ Barnabas as they know what they're doing . Sad sad sad world we live in today.
