I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was extremely disappointing. I brought my son here for a physical because we were unable to get a timely appointment with his primary care physician. This was truly a last resort, and unfortunately, the visit did not meet even basic expectations. The wait time was excessive, especially for what should have been a straightforward visit. What made the experience even more frustrating was the customer service. When we walked in, the front desk staff did not acknowledge us or offer a simple greeting. Instead, they appeared to be engaged in personal conversations and laughing with one another while patients waited to be assisted. A small gesture like making eye contact or saying, "We'll be with you shortly," would have gone a long way. The overall atmosphere felt disorganized and unwelcoming. As a parent, when you are bringing your child in for medical care, you hope to feel that your time is valued and that the staff is focused on patient care. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. I understand that urgent care centers can become busy, and I try to be patient. However, professionalism, communication, and basic courtesy should remain a priority regardless of how busy the office is. Based on this visit, I cannot recommend this location, and I sincerely hope they improve both their customer service and the overall patient experience. read more

went for cough and cold after my travels. After a long wait in waiting area and in the room, finally doctir ahed showed up. Explained the persistent cough and cold then after vitals and swab tests, confirmed negative of covid and flu and prescribed antibiotics. However, after taking antibiotics for 4 days, cough still persists that affects my health and sleep. Hardly, slept last one week. After calling to update my position, nurse suggested a cough medicine. My complain is why doc did not prescribe cough medicine earlier instead waiting for me to go through constant cough day and night?? I am not sure if it is overlook or intentional. There clerk that checked me in NEGLECTED TO PUT MY INFORMATION IN THE SYSTEM! I was there over 2 hrs until I asked the nurse if my name was on the list- her reply"no". The clerk was asked , she grinned at me and said " sorry"! This is NOT ACCEPTABLE! The tech came to me in a room to do vitals. I asked if I could be expedited, that didn't happen either! There are competent Dr's and staff. The problem is in the billing, they refuse to coordinate benefits, citing they dont have the staffing to make that extra call to your secondary. After a year, you can be billed, and regardless of your insurance, you will pay something out of pocket. The hope is that they aren't double billing . read more

I went to Medemerge on Friday to get some follow up tests and while there had them "put something" on a burn on my leg from the day before. Instead of the usual private rooms, I was in a makeshift hospital/clinic type setting behind curtains, which would not have been a problem if the lady with COVID coughing up a lung with no damn mask on, wasn't right on the other side. Ask me how I know: the nurse told the man with her "we will show you how to make her comfortable, whole keeping yourself safe", WELL WHAT ABOUT KEEPING ME SAFE? Also, and what led me to write this review is, I've had this bandage on my knee for TWO DAYS, covering it with plastic to shower etc. JUST so the ointment/medication they "put on the burn@ would work as long as it could, because they gave me nothing to take with me, and I see NONE OF IT WAS EVEN ON THE WOUND, BUT COMPLETELY UNDER IT! I've been here twice in the past month to get the antigen rapid coronavirus test. This place is run liked a well oiled machine. They are open 7 days a week including Christmas. They open at 8a but people start lining up outside only around 6a. The line moves very fast and you just walk up and give your phone number and the staff will let you know when to return. ( They will say 1 hr, 2 hrs etc. and then they will ring your phone.) They only take people up to a certain time because they do such high volume testing. They were the first in the area to get the rapid tests. The staff is so well versed in how long it will take that they call exactly when promised. You do not have to wait there but if it's only an hour then I suggest you do. Most people wait in their cars if it's a short time. Everything is outside and everyone wears a mask and social distances 6 feet. Once called to get in line and then you just tell the person you've already registered and then they put you in another line which is very short and you go inside and give a photo ID and insurance info. Within a few minutes you are in their system co-pay or not. If you don't have insurance then it's around $175 for the rapid Covid test. Since it was my second time returning it went much faster because I was already in their system. Once that is done you just go outside around the back and there's a tent. Within minutes your name is called and there's a Doctor who will ask why you're there and what you need. I got a rapid Covid test,flu test, and a strep test within seconds. Some people have a sinus infection, or bronchitis or other symptoms. They treat everything. There are people there who speak Spanish for anyone who isn't proficient in English. The staff are all very nice. Once finished within an hour. I received a phone call and text. Usually they only get a call if you're positive or a text if you're negative. The process seems complicated but it is very easy and the results are quick compared to CVS which is several days to get answers. I highly recommend this place if you don't have a permanent doctor or you need a quick rapid coronavirus test. They are located 1 block from RT 22 East on Washington Ave. They do have a very large parking lot which gets filled quickly but people come and go all day long. If that is full there's parking across the street or right next-door in the abandoned business formerly the Willows parking lot. read more

The nurses were great however when I came in I had elevated heart rate, swollen throat and fever. They did blood work, gave me a steroid and then doctor proceeded to tell me I might sepsis and told me I had to go to the ER. Due to the fact I was scared to hear this I went to ER and spent 6 hours there only to find out I had strep throat. I was livid!!! The say the least the doctor did not have the greatest bedside manner telling me I could have sepsis. I will never go back there again! Save yourself from a hefty bill from them bc they will test you under the sun for everything even if it's not necessary. This was my first and last trip to this urgent care!!!! read more

The only wonderful provider was Jenifer Harding. I have been coming here since 2009 and I need to find a new doctor asap. They never read your chart ever! They just treat you like this is the first time they have seen you. They prescribe medication I am allergic to and I have to explain everything all over again. I always have to explain why I can't take aspirin or advil. They don't listen. A nurse called me with test results and he hung up when I told him that I couldn't do what the doctor recommended. I was pleasantly surprised with my experience there recently, especially after reading other reviews. They were pretty quick for the amount of people who were there. The receptionist, doctors, and X-ray technician were all very nice snd efficient. I didn't receive an access link for their patient portal but they called with my results. And the check out process could be improved. The doctor told me they'll give me a note for work and then left so I had to find someone to ask about the note before leaving. read more

There is a receptionist, Anees A., who has a deplorable attitude. It appears he is in need of customer service training. He is unwelcoming. His tone is terse. He speaks to patients in a condescending manner. It's unacceptable and he should not be in the front. He should not be an option for incoming patients to have to deal with him. Perhaps he can fill the hand sanitizer dispensers, clean the parking lot, refill the paper on the exam tables, or something that doesn't require engaging with other human beings, as he doesn't seem to enjoy that component of his job. Medemerge prescribed for me a medication for my type 2 diabetes. I turned out to be allergic to the medication and suffered for many months. Severe flu- like symptoms. Multiple visits and they were not able to diagnose that they were giving me stronger doses of the very medication that was causing my suffering. After more than four months of this suffering I decided to try a new doctor unrelated to Medemerge. This new doctor looked at my chart asked me a few questions. Immediately he knew I was taking a medication that was causing an allergic reaction. It was a relief to get actual health care. I started feeling better right away. When I told Medemerge this I was met with disinterest, and they are still sending me bills for the "care" I received when they were causing me harm. I would never recommend Medemerge to anyone. There are walk-in facilities not that far from the Medemerge location that are better managed with much better doctors. read more

The staff refers to them as "rooms." LoL RWJ/StB couldn't afford walls and doors I guess. If I'd known I wouldn't have come here. So much for HIPA. Glad I didn't have anything too crazy to treat- it was a weekend and couldn't get to my primary. Called 10 minutes before arriving and told no wait but 'could change.' To summarize what has happened I came in for a sore throat, cough, runny nose, and my ears hurt. The doctor came in and check me quickly, then said I need a covid, strep, and flu test. I told her that I took one at home and she said "does don't work". She also said I need an X-ray for my chest, I asked her if my lungs are okay she said that she will come back and explain. As a patient I was worried and didn't even know why I needed it. One of the nurse came in took the first 3 test and I asked if I can know the price and said sure. The lady for the X-ray came in to take me but I told her I just wanted to know the price before I go. She said that is completely fine, that's when the doctor came in and started yelling at me saying that why am I causing trouble. Mind you I'm 19!!!! I asked so nicely the question and the doctor just came in with an attitude and was just so rude. If they didn't know that was completely fine. She came in and claimed that she did tell me and said that I don't listen and just don't understand. She then started speaking Spanish for my dad to understand but he does understand English. She also claimed that I shouldn't worry because if my insurance. But just because I have insurance doesn't mean I still don't think about the money because I'm still going to be paying somethings out of pocket!!!! Do not come here for COVID testing I've been a regular patient at medemerge most of my life. For most things, they are perfect. Excellent doctors, efficient staff, etc. I will continue to be a patient. But people need to know that coming here for a COVID test is a waste of time. I showed up the morning of the 24th, only waited in line for about 30 minutes before being told that I couldn't be seen that day, but could be put on a waitlist, with the earliest call back being the 26th. Tests are hard to find, so I added myself to list. I isolated myself and prepared for a call back. I was sicker than I'd been in a years and did not want to be chasing COVID tests all over the place. I called medemerge the morning of the 27th to see if they were calling people from the wait list yet and was told that they didn't have a wait list, that's not something they do, and if I want a test I'd have to wait for it there. I would have gladly waited for it on the 24th when I was there! Why not tell me upfront if you're out of tests for the day? Why create a fake wait list? I had been hunting for tests for two days, always thinking I would at least have this one eventually. When they told me, I burst into tears, I was so exhausted. Turns out I do have COVID, something I probably could have found out sooner if I had wasted my time somewhere else. read more

I came in to this place, have been here multiple times and this time was the worse one. I have the a cough, sore throat, runny nose, and my ears are hurting a bit. This Dr. checked me so quickly. Then said that I needed the flu test, covid test, strep throat and a X-ray for my lungs before even leaving i asked if my lungs are okay. She just said I'll come back and explain to you. If she had said after Checking your breath sounds and it sounded something off, I just want to do an chest X-ray just to make sure everything is right. Came in for a sore throat and they immediately told me that it looked like Strep. They had antibiotics and steroids prescribed before even swabbing me for the Strep Test. They rushed me out as soon as they swabbed me, only to get results back 2 hours later saying that my test was negative. I called back asking if I could come in for additional testing as I did not feel comfortable taking antibiotics if we weren't sure if this was a bacterial infection. The nurse that answered said there was no need to come in and that I would need to take the antibiotics as they were prescribed for a reason. You get a sense that those working there truly do not care about the well being of the patients and are just trying to rush everyone along. read more

Excellent healthcare and friendly staff. I have been there two times in the past two years. The wait time is unpredictable. If you go in assuming it will be better than an ER wait, you won't be disappointed. One time I received stitches on my leg and a couple of days ago for a severe wasp sting. Every time I received kind, caring, and friendly treatment. In fact, most recently, Bryna Greenspan (PA) had an amazing bedside manner. I felt listened to and she took the time to give me advice and clearly explained my treatment plan. read more

Tonight, I arrived with bad chest pain, dizziness and a bad headache. Jesenia was my nurse. She listened to my symptoms with genuine care and concern and relayed them well to the doctor. Dr. Hunter also took the time to listen to my concerns and run several tests to figure out what was going on. He prescribed me meds that I believe are helping. Finally, I called the next day with a followup concern and Jesenia happened to answer. They used to be very good but they've really been going downhill as of late. They're very fond of unnecessary tests and getting prescription renewals can be a real hassle. Even getting a straight answer as to your prescription renewals can be a hassle. They've recently added a "Patient Portal" where you can get your information online. But that information often conflicts with what they tell you when you call in. read more

The receptionists are rude, slow, incompetent, etc. The last time I visited (around July 2020), one of them couldn't even get my information right and went as far as to ask if I had a twin brother named Daniel and if I actually had his medical card instead of my own! (WTF?!) The nurses love standing in the hallway and talking to each other while you just sit there awkwardly in your room, pretending not to hear their conversation right outside your door. (I usually wait with my door slightly open). The only highlight of coming here is seeing Michelle, the one nice person who actually works here. (FYI she's the young African American assistant who's always smiling when she sees you, and actually CARES about her patients.) Medemerge has been my family primary care stop. Medemerge has everything then average primary care provider has in their offices. I have been visiting Medemerge for almost 3yrs now for my family needs. Medemerge doesn't require any appointment and they take most of the insurance. They are very conveniently located and quick in service. Most of the staffs members are very helpful, informative and friendly. They are always busy but doctors and staff members take enough time to take care of the patient and their requests. Medemerge offers many services and results comes quickly. Unlike others office which take average 2-3 days for basic blood work result. Facility looks clean and well maintain and sanitize. They huge parking lot. My go to doctor is Dr.Bilal Bajwa. He is very knowledgeable, professional, great listener, kind, informative and honest. He take care of the patients very well, he will take time to listen to your concern and issue, and resolve it and guide you for the remedies. I cut my finger, he took stitches well and he made me feel comfortable while taking stitches. I would recommend dr.bilal to everyone. My second favorite dr is karishma patel. She is a great, knowledgeable and friendly and good listener too. Cons:- they are super busy, sometimes you might have to wait longer than usual. Some doctor might be in rush but not dr.bilal and dr.karishma. I would recommend this place to everyone. So many my relative they go here as well. read more

Grateful to be able to get a rapid Covid test here, since they are not too readily available elsewhere (Note: rapid test is $65) Arrived at 7:15 on a Sunday morning and was about 10th in line for 8am opening. I was registered and seen quickly once they opened. Staff inside was pleasant and I had my results via text and lab portal before 11am (they said they call you if you're positive). One major concern, is that staff person at door was letting in too many people to the waiting room at one time, making it difficult to social distance. We had to ask him more than once to wait until there was more space. Not good, considering most of us were there for covid testing. read more

I had a good experience here. I came in with mild cold/flu symptoms. I didn't think it was covid but was anxious to get covid test to rule it out and also seek diagnosis/treatment if it wasn't covid. I arrived at 7:30am and there was already a line about 25 people deep. At 7:45, a nurse took my phone number and I was told to wait in my car. I was called in by 8:10, was in an exam curtain by 8:25 and saw the doctor by 8:45. He was thorough (also didn't think it was covid) in the exam and asked questions about symptoms and potential exposure. I had bloodwork, strep test and rapid covid done within the next 30 minutes. The office seemed to run smoothly and was definitely able to accommodate the long lines of people coming for rapid covid tests. My recommendation is to arrive well before opening. read more

The quality of medical staff is ok. Infact if it wasn't for the good treatment by the doctor, I probably wouldn't be going there. The staff lacks empathy and common sense. There is very little understanding of people's situation or ability to communicate or time. It's pretty robotic - robots running around and the moment there is a deviation from the known process they get confused and are very cold. The feedback is over 13 visits and 3 different services availed. Some people are epitome of foolishness and disgrace to customer service. In between I went to the front to check if they had the right phone number. The assistant was very nasty. Very unprofessional. She said go back to your car you have 40 people in front if you. I get it, its busy because of covid. Not one of the people seemed sick. And I know they took others ahead of me. I saw people come in after me and left before me. They said 2 hours for results this is going on 3 hours. Please for your own safety and sanity stay away from there. So great! I showed up around 620pm to get a Covid test. At first, I was told that the line is cut off at a certain time, but a doctor came out told me to get on line. I noticed more people coming on line for Covid tests. I waited about 10-15 minutes before being led out back to get the actual nasal swab. I blinked and it was over! All things considered, these guys are doing a great job. Sure, you need to get there early (I'd recommend around 6:30am) and then you have to wait for a couple of hours before getting tested. But I got my COVID by PCR results back by later that SAME day, which is pretty incredible by any standard. I can't believe during this unpredictable time, how smoothly Medemerge runs their office. Unfortunately, I had to be tested for Covid. I came in with my insurance card and my payment, and was seen very quickly. I think I went during a slow time. Even if it took me four hours to get tested everything was clean, and very well run! Everyone who works there are very professional. The doctors and the staff are all very pleasant. I got my results within the timing that they promised. Will recommend to anyone. read more

I get that the people here are front line workers under incredible pressure. When my wife and 3 kids arrived we were told it was a 2 hour wait and to hang around the neighborhood until we were called. We waited patiently and were called 2 hours later, almost to the minute. The problems started at check in. It was difficult to hear the administrative person for obvious reasons (the masks). Each time we asked her to repeat a question she just looked at us blankly - I didn't know if she was just being difficult or genuinely traumatized from her work and experiences at the office. We answered a question incorrectly as we couldn't hear her, and because we answered it a certain way they said we were not eligible for the test we went to take. That was incorrect, I asked her to repeat the question, upon understanding the question I then answered differently.. however she would not accept my answer, even though I explained I could hear her. She then told me it would cost almost $1,000 for the test for the family. I had to plead with them to please call my insurance. The second "finance" person I dealt with treated me utter contempt, just looked at me blankly when I asked questions. I ended up calling my insurance company who confirmed everything and we got the test, finally - but it still cost $65 + $30 co-pay each for a covid test, even though I have United insurance. That is definitely part of the problem - who's going to wait 4 hours and pay that kind of money From start to finish this was a 4 hour visit - yes, another 2 hours once inside. Just an awful experience but I suppose it's understandable. Perhaps the admin on the front need some more care and attention from whomever manages this place to ensure they are ok. I stopped by yesterday (3/17/2021) and asked for a Covid test because I wasn't feeling well. I saw Dr. Pilla. I had a chest x ray and results were read immediately. Everything went very smoothly. He ordered an antibiotic for me and it was called in to the pharmacy minutes later. I was in and out and all of my results were on my patient portal by the time I got home. Very organized. I'm giving medemerge 5 stars because I've been going there for years. Dr. Ahmed is AMAZING. All the MDs & DOs are great. However, that being said they recently hired a new Physician Assistant (PA) Marissa Lewis who is not only rude but undermined an MDs medical decision. My husband went to see Dr. Ahmed to discuss his medication but he happened to not be there that day. PA Lewis made my husband out to be a druggie or something because of the medication he was on. I definitely would come to medemerge BUT DO NOT be seen by PA Lewis. Like I said we've been coming here for years and NEVER had a problem until PA Lewis. We've been going to Medimerge for over 14 years with no problems. Yesterday was a total nightmare. My daughter was totally dehydrated, requiring an IV ASAP but even after we requested an IV when we arrived, it took an hour and a half before they administered it. They tried 5x to get her BP and another 3-5x to get her temp. After vomiting 10x and having diarrhea about the same amount, fainted 2x, she could barely hang in there. They did every other test, blood work, EKG, urine, before the IV, the IV that possibly saved her life. I question their priorities plus the nurse/phlebotomist did not use sterile technique when inserting the needle for her IV, no gloves. He put them on afterward. Follow up next day, complete opposite experience. Loved the PA, nurse used PPE protocol. Great experience. Still wont go back unless minor problem. read more
