I've been getting SNS for years now and this is the first time in a long time that my SNS started chipping within 1 day of getting them done. It's been 13 days and most of my nails are chipped and broken. For $40, this isn't worth it as you can get SNS that last elsewhere for cheaper. I can't remember who did my nails but I just know it wasn't Grace and Lucia and I regret it. Unfortunately when Grace isn't in the salon, the attention to detail and quality declines. I had to ask my tech to fix my toes again, and also my nails are all different shapes, and lengths. Not sure how you mess up super simple square nails but here we are. read more

Recently moved to the area for college and needed a new nail salon for while I'm here. I saw Minty was recently opened and decided to check them out with my roommate. The staff is incredibly nice and friendly. Even after going just once they remembered my name! I've since gone three times for SNS nails. The nails are done quite thin compared to other places for SNS. Some other places make your nail so thick and awful. I just got my nails done again today and they feel and amazing! I wanted to like This place. I really did. I spent $67 on a regular pedicure and SNS manicure BEFORE tip. Both plain color white on both. No designs nothing crazy. My toes chipped within one day and my thumb and middle finger chipped in 3 days. I understand the pedicure to an extent but SNS isn't supposed to chip at all. It was 3 days. The girl spent 2 hours on me and it wasn't even busy. I don't understand how my fingers chipped. SNS is supposed to keep it sturdy. I'm assuming the product is cheap. Also my cuticles were cut to shit and I was bleeding. Fingers were raw. I got my nails done for vacation. Now I have to find somewhere else that won't take 2 hours to fix this mess. read more

I didn't have such a great experience here. I got a lemongrass pedicure as I was in desperate need to have my feet done. The pedicure I opted for had a callus removal. I decided on this one because I had some drive parts of my heel that were bothering me. Unfortunately I feel like it did nothing for me. I checked out Minty tonight after driving past the salon and doing a double take when I saw " Open until 10 P.M". For the longest time I have been putting the bug in several nail salon owners ears to offer later hours to clients. Hard working women need a place they can call their oasis after 7:00 p.m. The Gods have answered ! I called and made a appointment the same day. The woman on the phone was very pleasant and squeezed me in at 8:30 p.m. I arrived early and there were 5 customers being serviced. I wish they had a more comfortable waiting area. The window bench was very uncomfortable and the shop is too tiny to squeeze in more furniture. I have been neglecting my feet and usually travel to Queens to do my nails at my favorite salon. Today I took a chance and Minty delivered. I was very happy with my pedicure. I had the regular service and it came with a hot stone massage and paraffin ! I visited Minty Nail opening week and couldn't be happier with the pleasant, accommodating staff! They were running a grand opening promotion which meant they were very busy when I arrived with my mother and sister without an appointment, but despite this made the time to accommodate the three of us even though we ended up leaving well after closing. Grace (the owner) we very sweet and informative about all the services we inquired about: she was not pushy, and never tried to sell us additional services we weren't interested in (and even advised my sister against something she didn't really need!). I work late and my commute is long and I found myself needing a pedicure for a office party the day before and I found Minty Nail & Spa! They're open late on some days and their staff and owner is super friendly! My pedicure was amazing and great first time experience! Second time around I went for my first sns powder manicure and Lucia did such an amazing job and gave me recommendations for colors and details on how to maintain it. The only good thing about this place is that they open late on weekdays. I was so disappointed on my second visit. The lady who did my pedicure and gel manicure was horrible. She put polish all over my cuticle and the pedicure looks like it was done by child. Even for the gel manicure, she put polish all over my cuticle and saying that my cuticle is too thick to take it off. For the gel manicure it is very important to keep your cuticle lines clean. I've reviewed plenty of restaurants and even a law firm on yelp, but never until now a nail salon. I was looking for a place that was open later and found Minty nails near by. They are very new but I also knew that my sister had a good experience. I gave it a try and I will definitely be going back. I had a male technician and I couldn't believe his attention to detail. He checked in to make sure the water was the right temp, the massage was the right pressure, that I did indeed did like the color I chose after he did one nail (I didn't and he picked out another one for me instead). He did a great job and was very gentle. Maybe the best pedicure I've ever had. Also it was only $20! All staff was very friendly and nice, and the place was new and immaculate - including their bathroom. Great place and looking forward to going back to get one of their fancier pedicures. I showed up to the store with no appointment with my 2 daughters on a Wednesday night (8 pm) Grace (the owner) politely told us we needed an appointment (they close at 10 pm) but made room for the three of us mani & pedi. Welcoming staff! Interior is nicely done. I had Julianna work on my nails-powder gel. She did a wonderful job, taking her time to make sure each nail was equal in length and not done improperly. That I could've spent doing something more important than sitting at a nail salon chair because they overbooked. What's the point of making an appointment if I would still have to wait? Rude, not accommodating at all. No where on the flyers or doors does it say "need an appointment". They said they were too busy, that I should come back tomorrow. It wasn't even packed just a few people doing manicures, they could have easily squeezed in another manicure if they wanted (which they should have since they're new and should want a good rep). The only good thing about this place is that it's absolutely gorgeous inside. The employees are nice. HOWEVER. On May 18th I can in for a full set with tips. By the following Tuesday I noticed they All started lifting. I'm not an active person so there's no way my day to day routine had anything to do with this. I've gotten my nails done for years and a full set normally lasts between 2 1/2- 3 weeks before any type of lifting occurs. Once the next Saturday hit, it would have been one week since I got my nails done, they were lifting so bad that it was very visible. I called Saturday but no one answered so I waited until they opened first thing Sunday. The lady proceeded to tell me that tips LAST ONE WEEK ONLY. ummm.....no..no they don't because I've gotten tips done for YEARS. I told her I did not want them to fix the full set (why would I after this horrible job) and I'll get that fix at my old salon and if they could just compensate me with a pedicure. My tips cost $55 and a pedicure is $20. I was expecting that to be a fair trade since my $55 nails didn't even last one week. She said they were closed on Monday. I could not make it in on Sunday so I said I will come in Tuesday on my lunch. Later Sunday night my left thumb nail, where the tip was glued on, started to tear off. NEVER have I experienced the tip, that's held on with nail glue to rip off like that. Again, I don't do much my lifestyle is very relaxed so this was not me scrubbing my apartment that caused this. By Monday afternoon, all the nails had lifted so bad that they literally all popped off. This is completely unacceptable. I will NEVER go here again. The quality of products are horrible. I'd rather drive 40 min to my old nail spot where the nails last 3-4weeks. I CANNOT believe I spent $55!!!!! On nails that didn't even last a week. Biggest waste of money ever. read more

I tried this salon because of the grand opening coupon. I was thrilled with the cleanliness and attention to detail of the entire staff. It is great they are open late on many nights, few salons are. I had a pedicure and gel manicure. Their prices are so affordable and every month has a different special. When one of my nails started to have the gel lift up after a week, Grace the owner had me come in and redid ALL the nails at no charge. This time they lasted over 2 weeks.
