In Eagan, I have a few spots that I frequent to get a beverage. A question popped in my head one day: Where's the closest bubble tea place? I found Mint Tea. It's in a fairly large plaza across from Eagan Premium Outlet. One day, after a day of being out and about as a tourist, I decided to pay Mint Tea a visit. I'd estimate that driving to this bubble tea place from the hotel that I stayed at took ten minutes. I visited twice and always had a parking spot steps away from the entrance. I backed into a spot both times. A nice man made my drink both times. This place reminded me of bubble tea places in the GTA. You can place your order in the store, but you can't sit down. It's strictly takeout. It was interesting to me because the Twin Cities weren't in lockdown mode when I was there. I feel that this place went in their own lockdown out of caution. I ordered a large raspberry tea with coconut jelly the first time. He was great pointing out the toppings that I could put in my drink, as there were so many to choose from. I paid with a credit card both times. The payment system allowed me to add a tip, which I appreciated. It took him roughly five minutes to make my drink. The vibrant raspberry colour looked so cheerful on a frigid, bitterly cold day. I got an equally cheerful light blue straw. I thanked him and happily walked out with my drink. I enjoyed my drink back in my hotel room. The raspberry tea was fabulous. It was slightly sweet with the right about of ice and I didn't even customize my drink! The tea was at a strength that I enjoy. There were a few raspberries tossed it. I loved the fresh fruit in it. The man was so generous with the coconut jelly. It wasn't too sweet. It was perfect. My first visit was so great that I returned the following day to get another drink. I got a large peach tea with rainbow jelly. Same drill. I had my peach tea in my hotel room. It was equally as delicious as the previous day's bubble tea. It was refreshing, slightly sweet, and yummy. The rainbow jelly was cheerful and I got a generous amount of it in my drink. I also got a huge slice of peach. I absolutely love getting real fruit in it, which is a nice touch. I love this bubble tea place. I am so happy that I found it. I can't wait to return and continue trying more flavours off the menu. (40)

I ordered a large brown sugar milk tea and it was delicious. It comes with pearls already which is nice and for $5.36 it's a great deal!! There's nowhere to sit inside really and no restrooms, only downfall.

Mint to be

I know I drive some of you Mint-al with my bad jokes, but it's always Mint in the best possible taste. I tend not to Mints my words, and instead of sending me hate mail, Mint your own business, and Mint your manners. At first I couldn't find this place, and then I randomly stumbled upon it. As much as one can stumble when one is driving a car. I guess that's sort of like, driving over a kerb then? Curb? I forget which one is used in my native England and which is your Yanktastic version. Then, I realized it had only opened mere days before my visit to Eagan in the south burbs of Mini Apples. So I guess you could say it was Mint to be. This is a really lovely place with extraordinairily friendly owners serving pretty good Vietnamese style boba drinks and the Vietnamese Iced Coffee is actually pretty good. They're very cutesy and quaint and unique with their uberasian (although Uber is German by definition, isn't it) plastic bag handles attached to their Boba cups so you can carry your Boba like it's a basket. Perfect if you're a Basket Case and let's face it, if you're reading my reviews, you probably are. The place only opened up very recently and definitely deserves a trip from you when you're down here. And while you're here make sure you also check out nearby Indigo in Burnsville which is my favorite Boba shop in the whole region. The sun never comes out in Mini Soda, but when it does, if the sunspots on your retinas don't get you, the Burnsville. 4 star drinks, with a bonus star for lovely service and cute-AF basket-bags. And the drinks are always, of course, served in Mint condition.

I tried the milk tea and the waffle. Starting on a positive note, I enjoyed the waffle. The taste and texture of the waffle wasn't chewy, but the flavor was nice! The texture was more gooey and seemed slightly undercooked. I really did not like the milk tea. It was way too sweet and did not have any tea flavor. It reminded me of a milkshake with a pinch of coffee flavor. The texture was very creamy, but it also seemed powdery.

Thai tea with milk cap and Jasmine milk tea with taro custard

I really like their jasmine milk tea here! It's nice and refreshing, the tea flavor stands out and it's not watered down at all. They have like four different custard/pudding flavors so that's super cool - never seen that around the twin cities, and I'm a huge custard topping fan with my boba teas. They also have green Thai tea and regular Thai tea, both pretty good, better than Cha time's I would say. If I'm ever shopping around the outlets again, I'll be stopping by here first to get my boba craving fix. Cute mint colors all around the shop and plenty of space to seat and sip on that boba tea. I have yet to try the waffles, their machine was broken at the time we went so I was a little disappointed.

Rose milk foam tea

I like that they have some unusual flavors of bubble tea! I wish they still had the rose popping boba, that was my favorite! If you haven't tried salt foam on top of bubble tea, I highly recommend! It contrasts with the sweetness very well. I am a creature of habit and always order the same drink. Sometimes it it's excellent and sometimes it is just good. I wish it was always excellent! Not sure what the difference is. I also wish they had tables available to sit inside.

Pineapple fruit tea with mango & passion fruit jellies, and peach tea with rainbow jellies....Both so good!

Being fairly new to Bubble tea, I have been craving it ever since a trip to Oregon where I had my first one. I've been slowly trying out different combinations and found that Jellies and a nice bitter (less sweet) fruit tea are my favorite. That being said, if you love Bubble tea (or tea in general), or if you are new to this like I am, Mint tea is a great place to try and create your perfect drink! I got two (because I was still experimenting and wanted some for the next day). I chose a pineapple tea with mango and passion fruit jellies and then was able to customize the sweetness too (which is so important). I only did 25% sweetness because I like my tea less sweet or with no sweetness. It was terrific. I wasn't as jazzed about the pineapple tea as I thought I'd be (probably needs a little more sweetness) but LOVED the mango and passion fruit jellies....now my Favs). The other one was peach tea with the Rainbow jellies and that was yummy too. There was another couple before me who got more of an Oreo type of thing (almost like a shake) and it looked terrific also! So....LOTS of choices, nice service, decent prices and overall I loved it. The only recommendation is that it was hard to drink and get the straw in with the regular kind of covers rather than the sealed tops, but still...delicious!!

Mango Milk Foam

Super yummy and friendly staff! It's down the street to the Eagan outlet, the location is really great! I tried the Mango Milk Foam with pearls, and I absolutely loved it! In addition, ordered Kiwi Fruity Slush, and that tasted really good too! They also gave us a plastic holder for our drinks, I thought that was super cute! I wished they had more locations! Definitely one of my new favorite Boba Tea place in Mn.

Lord knows the suburbs NEED more bubble tea places, and while I'm happy that Mint Tea is here in the south suburbs, I can't say that it's quite up to par as other bubble tea shops. Let's spill the tea. I ordered a classic milk tea with black boba, and the taste of the actual milk tea was pretty good. Creamy, not too sweet, and tasted like actual black tea, rather than cheap powder. Where the milk tea exceeded my expectations, the boba fell just short of the mark. The boba was much too chewy and tough to eat. I was expecting that deliciously soft and sweet taste of the boba to come through, but each boba I had tasted tough and flavorless. On the bright side, the lack of sweetness indicated that the pearls weren't cooked in syrup and sugar, so your waistline might thank you, but if you came here for bubble tea, I'm guessing your waistline isn't your top priority at this moment. The service was great - it was a little empty when I went, so my order was taken quickly. A little disappointing they don't take more payment options than a Visa, debit, or cash, but it's a small, local shop. The interior is CUTE. They really did take the mint in their name to the max, and the walls, straws, and logo on the cups all feature a cute mint color. Aesthetics = 10/10. Bubble tea? I'll let you decide.

Excellent boba. Mango smoothie. So tasty. Several different kinds of boba. Some exploding with flavors.

Taro drink with black boba. Perfectly cooked boba! I chose 50% sugar and it was prefect. So excited this place opened up!! Eagan needs it.

So EXCITED for a good boba place in Eagan. This strip mall just gets better and better. The decor is bright and light with a hint of incense. Perfect. Customer service is fantastic and quick. They take card and cash but no bills over $20. They have the typical milk tea options as well as other hot and cold drinks. I like that you can adjust your sugar level for the drinks, some boba tea is wayyyyy too sweet. I got the taro flavored drink with boba at 50% sweet. It was prefect! The boba was perfectly chewy and the 50% sugar didn't take away from the taro flavor. I've missed a good boba place since moving out of California. Can't wait to go here more!! There are also bubble waffles but I didn't try them.. maybe next time.

Classic milk tea with black boba

My new favorite spot for boba tea in the southern suburb area! I had to avoid Indigo Tea because they would always run out of bubbles all the time and close too early. Then I would have to take a trip to Tii Cup just to get my boba fix. Now it's just a couple of minutes away from me! This place is clean, cute and cheery. I love that they included a strap to carry the boba easier because I always get extra boba for friends and family. As for the drink, I got my go to classic milk tea with boba which is like the golden milk tea from Tii Cup. The drink was perfectly sweetened however boba was a little soft for me since I prefer more of a chew. They also have crystal boba which I can't wait to try next time. The service was superb. Sweet employee who took my order was very nice.

I absolutely love this cute tea shop! It's conveniently placed across from the Eagan outlet mall where I can grab a bubble tea, and shop around the mall. This is in my opinion the best tea shop in the area (Burnsville, Eagan, Apple Valley, etc.) and the service here is also the best. The owner of the store gave me a run down of the entire menu when I had trouble deciding what I wanted, and I found it really helpful. They have a large selection of drinks here which is great! The teas are delicious here.

They have a wide variety of drinks and toppings and what makes them special is they offer fresh pressed sugarcane and if you have never had sugarcane I highly recommend, it is a refreshing sweet treat. You will feel like you are on the streets of Asia. They only have cold cut and shredded chicken options for banh mi or you could get the special which has cold cut and shredded chicken which is what I got. There was not a lot of shredded chicken in it but it was a really good banh mi. The flavors were there and the bread was crispy. No complaints. They offered milk substitutes for my friend who is lactose intolerant. Prices are pretty decent here. Banh mi is around $8 which is pretty standard but it's a really good banh mi. Drinks are also around $7-$8 depending on what you get. We went right after tet and we saw they had these cute reusable cups there, they said the promo was over but they gave us these cups for free since we bought enough. There is not much seating here, most people seemed to just pick up to go but our group likes to sit here and talk and it's a nice ambiance for it. I'm hoping if they get more popular they can expand their seating more but it's not necessary. If you are looking for a good banh mi and good boba come here!

It ended up tasting extremely bitter--more like strong black tea than anything strawberry. Paying $7 for a drink my kids wouldn't even touch felt like a waste. I went back to ask if they could make it sweeter or offer a different drink. I wasn't asking for a refund, just a chance to have a better experience. They added sweetener but it still tasted very bitter and said their policy doesn't allow to change drinks. To make things worse, staff were speaking to each other in another language right in front of me instead of communicating directly (when they both can speak perfect english), which felt unprofessional. Overall, disappointing experience and not very accommodating to customers.

Once I got the drink, I felt bad to even poke it open because of the beautiful design on it. It was vibrant and colorful, giving off the perfect spring vibe. After reluctantly stabbing it open, my tongue was met with a cold sweet milk tea and warm tapioca pearls. The temperatures contrasted perfectly, making it even more enjoyable. The staff were so kind. Multiple people greeted me upon arrival, and the person who took my order was super sweet and explained the difference between two drinks I was confused about. ORDERING They use the big screens that other boba shops are moving towards, which I like because you can visually see everything on the menu and know what it looks like before ordering! However, what made this place stand out is that the owner (I assume!) came over to walk us through the menu and provide recommendations. But we were boring and got a jasmine milk tea boba haha. FOOD We were so excited to see a great poke bowl lineup here! And we were thrilled with our order - it was fresh, filling, and affordable. SERVICE Now this is where they stand out! Who I assume was the owner was incredible - from ordering to bringing us our food and drink, she was so welcoming and kind. Her service to others really stood out. There was a guy that came in, and without ordering, asked for water. She didn't hesitate and got him some water. A little girl and her sister were crying in the back of the shop, and she brought out popping boba for free to treat them - and they stopped crying instantly. Now THIS is what makes a business stand out! Can't recommend them enough.
