When my sister-in-law visited last year, we had better luck with owners making it easy for my son. This month, it is very obvious the claw machines are programmed to grab after payout but release before reaching prize chute. Without filling at the level of prize chute, you are guaranteed to lose since they will roll back down away prize chute. Only plus is their boba tea and shave ice. Only come at promotion days when you get free tokens. Birthday you get free 18 tokens and large boba drink when you purchase anything. Mall of America location is worse with points (out to 1 decimal) instead of tokens which varies too much based on prize. Only added bonus is gatcha machines have nicer toys. Also different games but more points. Birthday gets you bonus with $28 worth of tokens and free large boba tea. They clarify that you still have to purchase minimum tokens for $18 so strings attached. read more

Duck sucks! Hubbie and I went here for a date. I arrived excited and happy, and I left grumpy and sad. I'm by no means a claw machine expert, but I'm not bad at it either. I've won plenty of plush prizes out of claw machines I've come across in arcades, diners, and even grocery stores in the past. But here? Impossible. The claws on the machines are just awful; the tines just slide past the fabric on the plushies. You can line it up, perfectly centered around the plush, and it just slides around the plush every time. Doesn't even pick it up for half a second, so there's no suspense, no "ooh I might have it this time!" Just try after try of not even moving the plush. This is not fun. Arguably claw machines can be fun those times when you've got a tenuous grip on a plush and it slips at the last moment and you're like "arggh!" but you try again and get it and really celebrate cuz it feels like an accomplishment you overcame the difficulty. But you won't get that experience here, because the claw will never grab the plushie. In fact, the only reason I left with a single plushie is because some employee saw how disappointed I was becoming and he opened the machine to position a plush such that it was practically falling into the chute just from gravity. Only then was I able to get the plush, and not from the claw grabbing at all, just from the plush teetering slightly in my attempt and falling into the chute. Let me tell you: this is NOT FUN either to have an employee cheat the game in order for you to actually "win." I made the mistake of getting $20 worth of tokens (38 total) instead of $10 worth (18 total). I thought that a place that's a dedicated claw machine park would have prizes you could actually win, since that's literally the only thing to do here. The worst part is that the plushies are positioned in VERY grabble positions, with proper sizing ratio of plush to size of claw (again, I'm not an expert, but I do know what to look out for in terms of what should be winnable). Like they've gone to the effort to make each LOOK easy, and would be easy in a functioning claw machine. My 38 tokens got me twelve attempts, and all of them were utterly useless because of the poor quality of the claw grabber. Now I know why it was super dead in here; they've probably upset their entire customer base. That's also probably why they put a new location at Mall of America just last month, to try and sucker new people who haven't been to this one and don't know how bad duck sucks yet. There's the option to buy outright prizes on the wall. So if you want to do that, you can, but you might as well go to an anime store to do that rather than give these con artists any of your money. The only thing this place is good for is some selfies and stuff for Instagram, because it is fun looking. (But not actually fun, just fun LOOKING.) At least the bathroom was clean. You'd have more fun flushing your dollar bills down the literal toilet. read more

I love claw machines, I am usually good at it, but this place is expensive compare to other locations in the Twin Cities. As you can see, it was $20 for 38 tokens, BUT each machine takes like 2-6 tokens--depending which one you want to play. For example, a 12-inch Squirtle (medium size) cost 6 tokens to play while the smaller ones were 4 tokens. The claw didn't grip well. For example, Squirtle fell back down after the claw hit/retracted to the top. It took 4 tries to get Squirtle to move it little by little. The aisles are small and can seem cramp when it is busy. There is a cute shopping cart to place your winnings. Compare to other places like in Roseville or Blaine, it has more prize options. The downside is the cost. For $20 - 38 tokens, I was in and out of the store in 15-minutes. Originally I was hoping to get an authentic labubu, but after it took 4 tries to get 1 squirtle, I left with the plush. read more

The experience here was a huge let down. Crane machines aren't meant to be easy but you won't be walking out of here unless staff is walking around and sees you constantly losing and ready to walk out in defeat. The cranes will fully grip an item, bring it up and then hit the top hard enough that it falls back down. Every. Single. Time. The items are meh. A few really cool things and a lot of iunk. The boba and shaved ice aren't quite what we expected. The boba tea and shaved ice automatically includes ingredients that aren't stated so we didn't get the food and beverages the way as we ordered them. I'd avoid this place until the hype dies down months later. It's a great concept but this place is BUSY and there isn't enough logical space to carry out the idea properly. The machines are in small aisles and there are carts for your winnings, cute in theory but it takes up half the aisle. It honestly feels like a fire hazard with how packed it is with both people and machines. They also serve bubble tea and shaved ice cream. There's a small seating area along the window and a section for sitting in the middle which honestly takes up space that should have been used for spacing the games. It's also pricey. The machines I saw ranged from 2-6 tokens and the gotcha machines were 11-14 coins. We didn't have any luck winning anything but others did. The quality of the prizes seem good and corresponds with the token cost I suppose but some of the machines seemed impossible to win. How does someone win a pull box prize if they're all packed in neat order at the bottom of the machine? I wish Google allowed 0 stars because that's exactly what this place deserves. It feels like a complete scam. Their claw machines used to be much better, but now the claw grabs the prize and then suddenly jerks, making it drop almost every time. It feels like the machines are intentionally set so you don't win. They tempt customers with free tokens in exchange for reviews, which makes many of the positive reviews hard to trust. Everything is overpriced, and you can easily waste a lot of money. When I asked the staff for help, they were either unable or unwilling to communicate in English and offered no assistance. I also saw staff placing prizes near the edge of machines using keys, meaning customers don't even get a fair chance to win them on their own. The worst part is bringing your child here, watching them try again and again, and leaving disappointed. It's not your child's skill, it's the machine settings. Total waste of time and money. My friend and I arrived on a Saturday around 3pm and had to wait outside for about five minutes before we could get in due to occupancy limits. I'm thankful they had us wait and monitor how many folks are in at once. It was still busy and you had to wait a minute or two to get to the claw machine you wanted, but it wasn't miserable. My friend and I each started with $20 worth of tokens which was 38 tokens. Most of the small plushie claw machines were 3 or 4 tokens to play. My friend won two items right away, while I lost it all fairly quickly. We then each got a Horchata Milk Tea and added tapioca pearls & split a shaved ice. If you're on the fence about sweetness level I recommend you go with a 100% sweetness because my friend got 50% sweetness and said it didn't taste like anything. The Oreo Korean Shaved Ice was 10/10! We sat at a little table along the wall and enjoyed our treats while we watched people play and got to see employees reload & adjust the plushies in the machines. I asked them why they are readjusting and they said if too many are close to the glass the claw can't reach the plushie so they reposition them by putting them in the middle of the machine. After sitting and watching some people tactics, I decided to get another $20 worth of tokens and give it another shot. I then won two plushies from there!! We love coming to this location. There are a few claw machine businesses around but we prefer this one because you have a good chance on winning. Plus you are able to trade them in for other things. They also have staff walk around refilling the machines and "fluffing" them to give customers a good chance to win with ease. The staff is always friendly and they also have a drink shop inside. There is plenty of machines to choose from but it can get a little crowded if there is a decent amount of people in there. We have not had that happen yet but i have read other reviews and can see how it could cause issues. Overall we love this place and will be back soon! read more

This has a smaller parking lot and is in a center with other local businesses. I went on a Sunday afternoon and it was busy and loud. This was my bad, and if you get over stimulated I'd make sure to bring headphones or something to help. It's a really small space and I definitely think they could've picked a bigger location for this business. I ordered a small Thai Tea and that was delicious, and it came out quickly for being busy. I got coins next to where you order your boba. And that line was quick. Now for the machines itself, some of the bigger stuffed animals were too close to the plastic that separates where the toy drops in. I tried to get a Bulbasuar but the claw hit the plastic, so then my partner tried and was like oh - that one is too close. I also thought it was a little expensive to have most machines be 3-6 coins. I feel like most other places are 1-4 coins I wish I could do half stars - I would have given this place a 2.5. I rounded up to 3 because of the Thai tea. Update: used the last of my tokens to win a dirty plush today. Saw damaged and dirty plushes in other machines, not just this one. Won't coming back. I was a diehard fan when this company came to the Twin Cities. Over time, the rose colored lenses have faded and I can tell you this place is overhyped, overcrowded, and overpriced. They like to flaunt how you can trade in plushes for other items, but they don't want to tell you that as soon as you leave with your plushes in hand, they cannot be exchanged later, so there's no point in saving up plushes over multiple trips even if they all still have their tags. The only plushies that seem worth the squeeze are the official Pokemon plushies, but the claws are notorious for opening up prematurely and dropping your plush before it reaches the prize chute (if it even lifts the plush off the ground). You can ask an employee for help, but that ruins the magic if you're constantly getting your prize stuck in a precarious place. I'm pretty good at claw machines and I have better luck elsewhere. Use the money you were gonna use on tokens on actual plushies or blind boxes because you're practically burning your money here. $100 can easily be gone in 15 minutes read more

I had such a fun time here! It's more on the pricier side but this is my first time ever at an arcade shop and it was great! I believe the prices for tokens range from 10-100, I decided to go with the 50 dollar option which gave me around 108 tokens. They have a variety of machines to choose from such as plushies, keychains, and snacks. They also have gatcha machines but they were really pricey (10-13 tokens) but they had a really good selection to choose from! Most machines took (2-3 tokens) and the exclusive prize machines range from (5-6 tokens). You can also trade in prizes for a larger one if I'm correct but I'm unsure how that work, it was a bit too busy for me to ask the staff but I'm sure they can explain! :) Not sure if I was just lucky but I ended up winning over 10+ prizes! The staff were also super friendly and if they notice you struggling, they'll set it up for you to win lol. So sweet of them! My only complaint is that the process of buying tokens and boba was really difficult especially on a busy day. The shop is really small and you need to shimmy around just to get in line. I was unsure where the line even started at first.... I also wish the line for boba and the tokens were separate too. They have such yummy looking boba but I couldn't order any because the line was so long just to purchase tokens. Maybe two registers would work or adding an entire diff booth for tokens. I never knew I loved claw machines until I had a fun little date day at Duck and now I'm obsessed! They have so many fun machines (over 100!) and I love that you can return your prize back for credit so that you can save up credit to get a big prize! The Oreo shaved ice was delicious and love they have all the fun boba options so you can have a little treat while you play the machines. Damn, these reviews are really interesting. I'm just a normal girl here, no one paid me to go to this establishment and no one is paying me for my review as some others have implied with the higher rated reviews. We went on a Sunday afternoon around 1pm, the place was literally at capacity (125 people) and we had to wait five minutes. Once inside we were directed to the counter where we spent $20 on 38 tokens. We also spent $6 on a small boba drink, a little more than other shops but whatever. Despite the chaos inside the boba was ready within 8 minutes from ordering. We walked around and saw about 25 claw machines, there were a lot of people winning, and I saw staff rearranging the items and then people would win again. The idea is simple, win the prize and leave or turn the prizes in for larger prizes. Now I wouldn't say it was clear from the signage but that's how it works. We paid games ranging from 2 tokens to 5, I assume there were some 6 token options as well. We got really close to winning but walked away with nothing. Our friends won twice, so it is possible to win. The surprise machines in the back seem expensive and we didn't mess with them. Having been to Japan this is pretty spot on. All of the machines look easy to win but there's some skill needed. I didn't feel like it was a scam despite the fact that we lost. We spent about 30 minutes there, so it's expensive based on the time to cost value. We may return but aren't in a huge rush to do so. read more

I play a lot of claw machines and decently skilled. These machines are hard to win. They take 3 to 6 tokens each per play and the regular to large claw machines tend to have a lower pay out. I have watched several times the claw opening before it even got to the prize chute. Staff was not mean but they were okay. Most other claw machine arcades will help you win with tips and setting the prize for an easy win. Staff won't do that for you. Their version of help is refilling the machine. That helps sometimes . The only machines that had a consistent strong hold were the ones in the very middle with the smaller prizes. They are 3 tokens per play and only worth 1 credit each. I figured out this was the only way I was going to get good credits to get a prize. It's a fun place but if you want your money worth and not to be too disappointed then I would recommend Clawzone Park in Bloomington , Neko Clawww in Roseville or claw zone in Maplewood. read more

Visited Duck during their grand opening weekend. It was extremely busy, but we knew that going in. The place is bright, organized, and clean. There are rows and rows of machines packed with plushies, building sets, figures, and so on. They even have a trade in system if that interests you. It can be tricky to win but we did end up going home with a variety of items. They are pricy but the quality of the items appeared better than comparable businesses. They also have a drink bar, which we did not try but appeared to be serving drinks to many happy customers. Overall, a fun experience! Would definitely go back once the novelty wears off. read more

I brought my son here for a little date morning. He loved the boba. I bought a $20 package of tokens for us. I am usually really good at claw machines but this place was so frustrating. Almost every time, we would pick the prize up and then it would lift to the top and just open up, so the machines are obviously rigged to only let a certain amount of people win. This definitely takes the fun out of it. Our coins lasted about 15 minutes and we won one very small plush. Too expensive and too hard to win for the price, and I'm glad I didn't bring both kids. Spent $100 on 248 coins (approximately). Therefore this is bonus coins optimized. The time spent there for $100 for two young boys was about 15minutes which from a time perspective is extremely poor for the money spent. I could see two movies with full concessions for less than that if seen back to back. 4.5 hours of entertainment or so, comparatively to other things I.e. trampoline park, grand slam, etc. obviously they need to reduce the coin cost of 3-6 coins to stretch the time. Likely somehow drop to 1-2 coins per average. We made out with 6 plushies due to cost and the machines being extremely loose, as you'd expect from a traditional machine which are always rigged in favor of the vendor. But when you go to a specialty place like this you'd expect a minimum return of approximately half of what you spend. We basically left with equivalent of $20 of stuff maybe $30, just depends on how you want to debate the value I suppose but I would firmly believe most would agree with my tentative valuation. Therefore 20 minutes for that level of loss is extremely inadequate and I firmly and absolutely would not recommend this for any person due to the return ratios, time, etc. It is absolutely a fun experience and clean facility, very cool. But I'd rather have just saved the money and spent $100 anywhere else. I would have been very content simply observing and leaving. Brought my daughter here for her birthday. My daughter got a ton of prizes in the claw and then as soon as it was near the drop box it dropped in the game. It was very obvious that it was rigged. I asked about it and the staff said oh let me move one close for you, they opened the glass and moved a stuffie close to the drop box. This company had numerous reviews posted on other websites giving 5 stars, except they were all posted weeks before the arcade even opened. The arcade opened on 1/1/25. This arcade is very disappointing compared to similar arcades in the area. It is more expensive to buy their tokens, and the games cost more to play. The staff is very unfriendly. The games are all very difficult to win and are set to a specific payout. There is no way you will win until you hit the payout. We asked the staff for help a couple of times and they were unsure if they could even help us let alone lacked decent communication skills. My wife and I played a game where you need to thread a needle through a tiny hole to pop a balloon. We did that but the needle just squished the balloon and did not pop it. We were told by the rudest employee ever that if the balloon doesn't pop, we didn't win. We had video of us "winning " and he said he does not give a damn if we have video or not. I tried to explain to him that the game is impossible to win because the balloons are under inflated. He told me they tested the games and they will pop. Later on, we heard another customer complaining to him about the same issue and he repeated the same line, "If it doesn't pop, you don't win." We watched a man try to win, plushy french fries and the machine rigged him seven times in a row before he gave up. We then tried to win the french fries and it took us five more tries before the game hit payout and we won. We spoke to four other groups of people, all of whom spent $100 on tokens, and all of whom only won two or three plushy's. I don't care who you are, that is ridiculous for spending $100 at an arcade. Normally, I try to take photos to show everyone what the arcade looks like, but we left in such a bad mood that I forgot to take photos. There are six other arcades similar to this in Minnesota currently. I highly recommend you skip this one and spend your money at one of the others. The other arcades have very friendly staff that are happy to assist you and are happy that you even came to play at their arcade.
