Here my…read moreexperience was a long list of issues the long term care plan, billing errors, insurance issues, a billing communication. On the orthodontia, get a couple of different opinions, I went with them based on the recommendation and pricing I was supposed to pay. There was another company, Buckhead Dental, that quoted me more money out of pocket as they did not take insurance but their Invisalign recommendation was only 3 months for my case. I wanted to cancel the contract with Quality because I was confused why another doctor had given me a 3 month plan, possible a month and a half if I was consistent, and Dr. Gluck gave me a year and a half to two years. I reached out to Invisalign to ask why the plans were so extreme as the molds come from them but they will not speak with you. I tried to cancel but I was told I would owe them $2,500 as they had already done the molds. Based on the communication, I thought I had only provided a non-refundable deposit and not that anything had been complete on sizing. I was stuck with them for 2 years now. Based on this long term plan, I was done in 3 months but I had to waste my time going into the office for check ins where they took pictures of me and said I was doing fine. It was such a waste of time. They had the audacity to try and keep pushing me for more money for an additional retainer. I told them I don't need it and I won't lose it. I never lost my last retainer before and I was not concerned decades later. They kept pushing for me to get it. I told them I'm fine and started to ignore them when they brought it up since they didn't listen the 3x I said no. For billing, the staff either doesn't know how to add/subtract, which seems to be rampant in the medical field, and/or the system is so archaic, they don't know how to use it. The coordinators continuously gave me inaccurate statements and I would have to call confirming that I had paid X amount which was not on their records. I was proactive and kept calling to confirm the outstanding billing requiring them to email me the statements so there would be no issues. They kept getting it wrong from errors I found and had to resend the statement. I kept a spreadsheet to track due to numerous errors. Due to this issue, I wanted to finish paying them and be done so they would not come back. I paid multiple payments a month and would call to get statements sent to confirm we were tracking. By the end of 2022, I paid off my bill in full. Now over a year later and two months later from service and 8 months from paid in full, they are reaching out on a $585 balance. They were fully paid by me. However due to the insurance plan spanning the full treatment, they had not finished charging insurance. They called during a death so I said I would get back to them. I did and left a voicemail giving them the information they asked for but they ignored the voicemail. They never followed up until August 2023 asking about the payment again. Apparently they had been mailing me to an old address with no other communication. I had moved and did not receive any of the forwarded mail until afterward due to the post office. Finally after months of back and forth, I was told I still owe the ~$300-400 as my insurance had paid their maximum. This didn't make sense to me because they knew what the maximum would be at the beginning of service. So my out of pocket should have been exact from the beginning as I didn't add anything or ask for additional services. I should have gone to the other doctor earlier as a second opinion with the shorter Invisalign recommendation and no insurance involved. It has been a complete mess and I hate having to deal with them. The worst medical billing experience I have had and hopefully the last.

I wanted to come in for a general cleaning and inquire about Invisalign while I was there.... slightly embarrassing for me to find out after all of my XRays and scans that I was in the wrong place! They don't do cleanings... They were really cool about recommending another local dentist and priced out what the Invisalign would be as well. They let me keep my free gift bag too (multi usb charger/battery pack/Lip balm...etc) so that was nice. Once I get my general cleaning done I may just take them up on the teeth straighter for my lower teeth (not a priority)

After a tragedy in my life in 2009 I stopped going to the dentist. Things like that just fell by…read morethe wayside as I dealt with my grief. Ten years went buy quickly and I still hadn't been to a dentist. I began to worry a bit as I had a tooth that had been painful off and on for that whole time. A few months ago decided that I had pushed it long enough and needed to see what was going on with my tooth before it became a real problem. I didn't know where to go and was truthfuly afraid at what might be discovered. I was really afraid I was going to need a root canal. To make a long story short, I went to two fancy dental offices, one in Buckhead and one in Norcross and was grossly disappointed. The one in Buckhead did a thorough examination and then told me I needed $5,000 worth of dental work. I felt like I was at a car dealership, they even had a little office they wanted you to sit in after the exam while they tried to "close" you and actually tried to get me to sign something while I was still in the exam chair, comitting to a next appointment...that was the first red flag for me. They wanted me to commit to $5,000 worth of work on the spot and sign papers to that effect. I told them I needed to think about it and got the heck out of there. The next Dentist was in Norcross and this guy had the approach of being the "cool" dentist, all pumped up on steroids etc. He called me "man" and roughly banged around on my teeth with a piece of metal and after a quick exam said I needed a root canal and to go get one and come back and he's "slap" a crown on the tooth. I had a feeling it was the wrong place for me as soon as I walked in. The furniture looked like it was from a night club and the receptionist was showing more cleavage than a Hooters girl....not really the kind of things I want to see at my Dentist's office....not confidence inspiring in my book. I was becoming frustrated as there a million Dentists out there and I didn't know who to trust and my tooth was becoming increasingly painful and I was getting really worried. I next asked a trusted counselor if he had any recommendations and he said he had a wonderful dentist. He recommended Dr. William Reagin. I called that day and made an appointment for a consultation. I immediately felt at ease in Dr. Reagins office. It was not in a fancy building with a fancy address, the waiting room was not full of blaring TV's and no one called me "man". Dr Reagin did a thorough exam on my tooth and verified without a doubt that the nerve was dead and that I needed a root canal and a crown as the tooth had a crack in it. Neither of the other dentists told me that my tooth was cracked and the first one didn't even say I needed a root canal. It would have been really bad for me if they had put a crown on a tooth that subsequently needed a root canal. I am grateful to have found Dr. Reagin. He is a very nice man who instilled confidence in me that he was correct in his diagnosis and treatment plan. The root canal was a piece of cake, I had no pain during or after and now have a nice porcelin tooth "crown", which looks natural in my mouth. I just noticed today that I no longer had to worry about not chewing too hard on that side of my mouth as I had done for ten years with my cracked tooth and decided to sit down and write this review. Dr. Reagin has been in practice for 50 years if I'm not mistaken. His daughter in law is also a Dentist in the practice. It is truly a family run practice, the likes of which are difficult to find these days. Everyone who works there was just as nice as can be. For the firsrt time in my life I can say that I will look forward to going to the Dentist.

The Avenue Dental is not a place you want to select for your dental needs. I am left with a bill that I have never paid with my insurance for routine CLEANING. I want to leave my objective experience with Avenue Dental. I had sent the office all my images/X-rays including panoramic images that were taken prior to the visit. The visit was for cleaning. For some reason not known to me they took X-rays and I was told that the office does this and I will not be charged. They billed the insurance with my Gold Cigna Plan and received payment in full at 100% coverage. And then they sent me a bill of $94 for X-rays. So all in all they want to receive a huge payment for routine cleaning. Please find other dentists who are plentiful in and near Suwanee/Cumming/nearby areas and who care for patients: and most importantly where you do not have to pay a dime for routine cleaning with any dental insurance. Best in finding a dentist for life!

I've had braces twice and have always had a "Pontic" which is like a fake tooth in its place. I've had Invisalign retainers that contained this fake tooth, But I'm not very responsible so I've lost somewhere between 5 and 7 of them and these things cost anywhere from $300-$500 to replace. I was so tired of going through the cycle of losing it, being toothless, scheduling an appointment, waiting for the asset to be made and installed in my mouth. I finally decided to get something more permanent done. I was so apprehensive about about the cost being a public school teacher, Dr. Blackburn came up with a treatment plan that was affordable for me and very much worth the incredible work he did for my smile.
