Highly unprofessional. This company is not shy about charging, $40 per worker per hour. The first time they came in, Minty the owner charged me $350, which is high but I paid without hesitation since it was the first time. When I asked her about cost for maintenance cleaning every 2 weeks, she definitively quoted me $250 each time. However, when the two workers showed up, she asked me how many hours I wanted, saying that the $250 only covered for 3 hours, which she never once mentioned. I asked if the work would be able to finish the work, she said usually it only takes 2 to 3 hours for maintenance cleaning. However, after the 2 workers left, I saw that the floor was not cleaned, the dish rack was extremely dirty, there were still stains on the floor, and an obvious surface there's still stains from cat vomit. See photos. When I sent the photos to the owner about the fact that the cleaning was not done thoroughly, she blamed me for only giving the workers 3 hours, saying that 1 more hour would have been needed. She also blamed me for having the workers clean cat poops. which I NEVER asked them to do. (by the way, all my previous cleaning ladies never had a problem with cleaning cat litter, so I'm not sure when this became an issue, and she never once mentioned that they do not touch cat litter???) I live by myself with 3 cats, and there's really not that much to clean except for the mess cats make sometimes. So cleaning the cat area is one of the major reasons why I'm hiring a professional cleaning team. If I had known that she would have an attitude about cleaning things related to cats, I would have NEVER hired them. She started to skirt responsibility beside accusing me of making her working "pick up cat feces" which is a complete lie. She also said that the workers told her that I I had said m everything looked good before they left, which was a fabrication. They NEVER asked me to look at the house and how they did before they left, simply saying "we are done." So the workers lied, and the owner did not want to take any responsibility. I never actually used them because they cancelled on me twice. First time I booked for Thursday then about an hour after booking I received a text saying they could not service that day. Rebooked for Friday. Then got a text a day before the cleaning was supposed to take place stating that my house is outside their service area. The problem is they knew 3 separate times where my house was located. First on the initial yelp request for estimate, second on Wednesday when I made the initial contact with Mint telling them my address, and lastly today Thursday when they requested it again. I do give the lady credit for constantly being in communication via text, that is a good part of her business. But in terms of running a business, this is such an elementary mistake to make that it wasted so much of my time. Therefore I believe 2 stars is warranted for my experience. read more

If i could give them a zero i would. I called two weeks in advance and booked a cleaning on DEcember 30. I was very clear that this was for a party the next day and I was returning home and had to work the next day so it was urgent that they show up. Not only did they not show, but when I called and the woman promised to call me back, she never did. Instead, she avoided my calls that day and the next. I hired Mint to do a last minute post construction cleaning. My home had been under construction for over a month and was SUPER dusty. They were so accommodating even though I had to reschedule twice. I requested an evening cleaning. I got 2 amazing girls they cleaned from 7p until 3am. The house smelled really good and the manager stayed in constant communication with me. I had a little hiccup and when I let the manager know she was literally ready to send the girls back out and actually did. They cleaned all the hiccups and were really professional about it. My townhouse is picture ready! I called Mint Home Cleaning to schedule a deep clean of my townhouse that I am putting up for sale with the photographer coming Friday. Megan was able to get a team there in two days and they did an incredible job cleaning every nook and cranny including sweeping my patio. There has been updating, so construction dust everywhere and the previous tenants didn't do a great job with cleaning before their move out so a lot of work needed to be done. We've used Mint three times. 1. The first time, we had them clean our condo unit in SCV. Vanessa had come over with a crew of three ladies, walked around the unit and then gave us our estimate. It was a move-in cleaning, and we requested that the insides of the fridge, stove, and cabinets be cleaned as well. Vanessa left after giving the quote, and the ladies went straight to work. - The communication before the day of cleaning was excellent: Vanessa was always very responsive. - Vanessa had come early, which was a surprise because the appointment was at 8:00AM. She was at the gate at 7:40AM. - The ladies were very thorough and communicative as well. 2. The second time was terrible. We hired Mint to clean a separate condo unit, 200sqft smaller than the one in SCV. It was a deep cleaning, and Megan had shown up with one cleaner. - The communication with Megan before the day of cleaning was also consistent. - The ladies had come 30 minutes late. That's fine if they were going to do a thorough job. But Megan had left the lady to clean the entire unit herself (and it became obvious that this was the lady's first time performing a unit-cleaning). In two-hours time, the inside of the stove was cleaned and the kitchen/living room floor vacuumed (not well in that the edges and corners were not captured, and she vacuumed around our things on the floor). Nothing else. The woman was on a time-constraint so she had to leave in an hour's time, and overall, she was very confused in what was expected of a deep-cleaning. - It was a badly organized project that was not entirely the lady's fault. When we talked to Megan, we heard comments like, "You had requested a deep cleaning of the oven and of the stairs." Out of earshot, they were conversing about how this unit was small and they normally do not send a team of people to clean. (So for a non-first-time impression, and 200 sqft less, they went down from 3 people to 1 person and a first-timer at that.) - Megan and the cleaner would not have been able to deep-clean two beds and two baths within one hour, and so we said this was not what we asked for when we requested a deep cleaning. We asked that they come back the next weekend, and Megan agreed easily with a good attitude. 3. The third time was much better: honestly, my sister and I were hesitant with Mint after what happened and were considering going with another company. Megan came with one other lady, and both stayed this time. They cleaned very thoroughly this time: the windows were great, all counters, all appliances, the inside of the stove, the staircase outside, our bedrooms and bathrooms. My sister had noticed that there was still dust patches in her room and asked that it be vacuumed again, and they did that as well. They definitely made sure that what happened the last time would not be an issue this time - especially after our vocal expressions. - One oddball: To make the unit look more thoroughly cleaned, they put away our stuff that were laid outside in random spots. I couldn't find my lunch bag and our roll of trash bags which were previously on the counter. They were stuffed into a bag that was on our stool. In conclusion, Mint is good. I took off a star because of our second experience, but they left and came back with a good attitude. Hopefully, #2 would never happen again for anyone. read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I scheduled a professional deep cleaning of my apartment per the requirement of my landlord when moving out, and needed to provide a receipt of the cleaning to get my full security deposit back. The person I spoke to at Mint said giving me a receipt wouldn't be a problem. They did the cleaning (only one of the two cleaners promised showed up) and overall it was a satisfactory job considering she was short staffed. When I tried to contact Mint about getting the receipt my text was ignored, as were my phone calls. Once they had my money they ignored me completely. I was billed by my landlord for a cleaning fee on top of what I payed Mint. The cleaning itself was fine (it's the only thing stopping a 1 star review) but I do not recommend them due to horrible customer service. read more
