0/10 would not recommend. Rude and unhelpful staff. A complete 180 compared to every other vet I've been to.

I will come right out and admit that I am completely neurotic about my pooch (aka…read morebubber/pupper-dawg/puppa, and many other nicknames that are too embarrassing to put out here). This works out, as the pooch is a little touchy himself. He doesn't do well for long stays in kennels; he's used to hanging around people constantly and can't deal with just a few trips around the play yard, with being shut up in a crate the rest of the time. Enter Pets Are Inn. We decided to give them a try for our big vacation, after hearing good things about them from a friend. The concept is great (and a little odd at the same time, but it works). Like e-Harmony for pet-sitters...you discuss your pet's personality and any particular needs, and the manager will "match" him to a host family. We never actually get to meet the family or find out where they live, but we can communicate through the franchise owners. We worked with Carol to coordinate his stay; she came to pick him up and drop him off, which all went relatively well (the dog does love his car rides...). And best of all, he really seemed to enjoy his stay with his family - we got a note back and some pictures, too, that I guess serve as proof that he wasn't put to work dragging a snow shovel around someone's driveway or being dressed up as Bozo for a one-year-old's birthday party. He wasn't jittery-anxious when he got back, and he actually ate, which he usually doesn't do in a kennel. The amazing thing is that the pricing is absolutely on par with kennels, for longer stays anyway. They do charge a round-trip transportation fee, which would make it less cost-effective for short stays. Honestly, though, after seeing how content he was, we don't plan on putting him in a traditional kennel again. And we have a lot of trips coming up!

Pippa is always delighted when Carol arrives to pick her up, and we know Pippa is in loving, capable hands. Each time she stays with a host family, she's treated as one of their own, with the same affection and attention she receives at home. We have complete confidence in the care and professionalism of Pets Are Inn. Thank you, Carol, and the entire team, for providing Pippa with a warm, welcoming home stays and exceptional care whenever we're away. Margaret N

Daycare here is one of my pups favorite things!…read more My pup went here for YEARS! We have since moved out of the area which is why he doesn't go now. There's an indoor and outdoor area which is nice so the facility can be flexible based on weather where the dogs play. This is not the frills, nap time required kind of vibe. It's an unassuming, barebones facility full of employees who just love dogs and dogs who love dogs. This was what worked for my pup- he doesn't care if it looks pretty to humans- he cares (and I care) how he's treated. And he was treated very well and would be jumping around in the parking lot as we would walk up because he was so excited. And the staff would be excited to see him as well. The cost is in line with other daycares in the area - buying a package will help the per day cost. For my pup - totally worth it.

I do not understand how there are so many good reviews for this place. I've been to other doggy…read moredaycare places (Stone Mountain), but Ruff Love was closer and more convenient, so I thought I'd give it a try. I went in today for an orientation and a walk through at about 10AM. IMO, there were way too many dogs in each area. The dog rooms are small and dimly lit, and all connected, so the atmosphere is very loud. I was shocked at how many large dogs were in such a small area. As we walked through with the staff, a fight broke out between two dogs. Others joined in because there was no where to go. One staff in the room for about 20-25 large dogs. No wonder. There is simply not enough room for the number and size of dogs in that space. I would never leave my dog there.

We used Come, Sit, Stay for daily walks and numerous overnights when I was been out of town. They were flexible, reliable and - most importantly - SO wonderful with my pup! I used to board Nico when I was out of town, but I hated it; the thought of him in a kennel or in a sterile small room would bum me out big time. But even when I had to go out of town for a 10-day trip, I never worried about my little guy because I knew he was having a blast with Ed, who would walk him a few times a day and stay at my place to keep him company throughout the night. Ed would write up a detailed account of each day and would occasionally text me updates and pics. Ed and Nico were total buddies - one of the hardest parts of moving away from Minneapolis was knowing Nico wouldn't get to have overnights with his bestie anymore! Broke my heart a little :( Pet ownership can be a challenge for singleton transplants like myself - things come up, and it can be pretty difficult when you don't have a partner or local family members who can swoop in and do an emergency potty run if you get tied up at the office, or be on point for feeding and walks when you need to head out of town unexpectedly. Megan, Ed and the rest of the Come, Sit, Stay staff felt like an extended family for me and Nico - always available to help out and provide my furbaby with tons of love. I'm jealous of you Minneapolitans - I wish Nico could still get his daily love from the Come, Sit, Stay team!

They helped with end of life cares for one of our cats and sent a card once he passed. Last year, when we suddenly and urgently needed to leave town on a holiday weekend, no less, to see a loved a one. They responded to my email at night saying they could watch our pets for us. Sporadically, we've used Rover due to credits from work but always come back to CSS.
