Went in to pay for some bloodwork and medication. Called to ask for price yesterday 2/26/26 and was told the price over the phone and specifically asked for the total including both. When I went in to pay on 2/27/26 they said the price was about $23 dollars more than quoted over the phone the day before. They refused to honor the price quoted over the phone the day before. I said I wouldn't be getting the medication and go to a different vet and they didn't seem to care. I guess for them it's profits over people and their pets. read more

We have gone to this Vet. Hospital for many years including the early years from 1974 to 1990. We moved up to Ham Lake and used a vet place there. When we returned to this area we came back to MN Vet. Hospital, (about 2018). We have been happy with the staff, taking our cat here. They are always courteous and friendly. If there are questions, they will return a call with the information we need. We just euthanized our cat and the staff was so very kind and caring. I took my dog Duke today for his yearly checkup and I must say both my husband and I were very disappointed We had been last year during covid and were met buy a staff member . That brought our dog into the hospital while we waited in our in car then . They call us when he was ready to leave . But this time we went inside and I have to say that was probably one of the worse exams I have ever seen . The vet barely touched our dog or felt him and didn't even look in his ears it was a waste of time . I would never go back so so impressed . We brought my childhood dog here for her check ups and sadly to have her put to sleep. Her name was Ginger. Now we have a new puppy named Ginger. I was trying to decide whether to bring my pup to this place or to the Banfield hospital and much like us deciding to join a health club, proximity was a factor. This place is less than a few miles from our house. And an added bonus, I think the vet mentioned they only see dogs and cats, so nice chance of us running into some creepy snake lurking in the lobby. Sorry, absolutely phobic of snakes. After reading the positive reviews and seeing the five star rating it felt like a good decision. Very nice, welcoming, friendly staff. Wonderful helpful vets. Clean facility. Our puppy does not mind coming for a visit. Have had two puppy exams and second set of shots. The online appt scheduling is great and the new client discount is also a perk. Minnesota Veterinary Hospital felt very trustworthy compared to other vets in the area! I got several quotes in the area for my cat's dental care. Minnesota Veterinary Hospital's quote was not only the most affordable (the high end of their quote was lower than the low end of Life Care's, who seemed like they were only out for money), but it was also the most well explained. The staff seemed honest and trustworthy. Throughout the whole process, I felt like I was making the best choice for my pet as well as my financial situation. They were also sure to include a follow up appointment to make sure she was healing, which I was so grateful for. read more

Do not take your pet here for grooming!!! Otherwise this place is great. My dog boards here often and the girls who work here are so sweet. They make sure he is well and take him out four times a day. They even write little notes for you on how your pet was during their stay. Overall I would recommend them for boarding. I have not gone here for vet services and highly do not recommend they get grooming here my dog came back home with no tail hair (for no reason but she didn't know what she was doing, he's a shitzu poodle he's supposed to have a poofy tail) read more

Our 13 year old lab has been seen by MVH most of his life. MVH suggested a geriatric checkup if he could make it in. Day of the visit I called & to say we might be late but were left on hold. We had trouble getting dog into the car, he couldn't walk the ramp & I couldn't lift him. The woman at the front desk was down right rude. As soon as we walked in the receptionist said the vet would NOT see us. I looked at my phone & we were about 13 min late but it was the 1st time we had been late. I mentioned why we were late but it just seemed to annoy her. I had to ask her to please check if we could have the remaining time of our appointment with the vet. She huffily went to ask. She very quickly returned to say the vet was now going to leave early & would not see us. I told her I doubted I could get the dog back for another appointment , he was shaking, unstable & obviously in pain. The woman acted as if it was a huge inconvenience and basically dismissed me without offer to help my animal, help get him back into the car or help his pain in anyway. I got my dog through the door before he collapsed shaking and whimpering. A man in the parking lot took pity and got my dog in the car. Poor animal could not stand for two days after his trip to the vet. I understand time is money & we were late, but I am heartbroken that a clinic who cared and boarded him over the years would show such a lack of empathy. Kevin and I LOVE Minnesota Veterinary Hospital. I started taking him there in June. It was hard to switch providers in the middle of Covid, but I had read great reviews, and it's right down the road from our home. Everyone here is awesome. From reception, to techs, to kennel staff, to doctors, I always feel heard and confident that Kevin is getting the best care. Something I really appreciate it that they are very thorough in their care suggestions, but also honest. I've never felt like they are trying to get me to spend more money that's not necessary. If I call or email with a concern, they usually give me really great advice to try at home first so I don't necessarily have to come in and pay for a visit. I also take Kevin for daycare there once in a while and it is wonderful. They take great care of him, give him lots of personal attention, and a report card and the end of the day. I was recently dealing with some issues with my precious cat. In the end, I made the decision to have her put to sleep and the staff was so caring and kind. When I left, the two employees at the desk gave me long hugs which was so appreciated when I was having a major meltdown. I've known people in the past that have gone to this clinic, and even though I live in Hugo, I chose to go to this clinic. The place is very clean and everyone is so friendly. called a few weeks ago to set up appointments for my dogs to get updated on their shots, groomed and neutered. I haven't had time to get them in recently because I have a 2 and a 4 year old and my husband and I both work 60 hours a week. I spent 40 minutes on the phone with the guy who made my appointments, he was super nice and set up a series of 3 appointments to ensure everything would be brought up to date and taken care of. I called this morning to say i would be a few minutes late (running late due to dropping my kids off with grandpa specifically for these appointments) we live right down the road. I was rudely informed I would have to reschedule my first appointment as well as my grooming appointments because both my dogs needed a minimum of 3 seperate appointments to actually get up to date on their shots which meant they could not be groomed or even nuetered the following week (i am baffled as to why none of this was explained to me when i was assured i was making all the necessary appointments when i initially scheduled them). As i first time dog owner i am fault for being ignorant of the vaccine schedules but this was a HUGE waste of my time and the receptionist was condescending and unhelpful. Now I will be spending my morning rescheduling them at another veterinary office (which is a shame because this one is right down the street) but apparently they dont want my business anyways. We came from a vet in the NW suburbs and will NEVER return. The experience at MN Pet Hospital has changed the way we view pet care. Our black lab mix needed emergency surgery and it has been a humbling experience. The prices were unbeatable and the staff is VERY accommodating. Our family has been going here for several years. Two cats and one dog have made regular visits. The dog even boarded for a week! They do a very good job. I was surprised how much less they cost than our old clinic. The old dog became ill, and the staff there did a terrific job easing the dog, and the owners, through a year of decline until he had to get put down. Very professional staff.
