She had always taken excellent care of all her pets and spared nothing to help keep them in optimal health. After most of a year in our home, she recognized the signs that this one had reached the end of life, so we made an appointment at TLC Cat Clinic. My sister followed the doctor's recommendations and brought in the kitty couple of times with no solid improvement. On the final visit, the doctor laid out a plan for treatment that included repeated visits to the clinic. My sister said she wished to have her pet euthanized. She explained she had watched many animals decline in their old age and recognized her beloved kitty was not going to have a reasonable quality of life beyond this point. The demeanor of the veterinarian quickly changed. The doctor said that it was not my sister's decision to make. (The exact words were, "I make that decision.") She then repeated the course of treatment as if any other thoughts were irrelevant. Given the startling change in the vet's tone and attitude, we did not speak at all. I had never heard of a vet refusing the request to euthanize a suffering animal, especially one so old and miserable. My sister was already mourning her decision to put down her pet that had been her companion since the loss of her husband a year earlier. She was not prepared to argue with a contentious vet to get it done. In the end, we found a sympathetic veterinary clinic and my sister mourned her pet as well as her husband. I would never recommend this clinic to anyone. Final note: The other TLC staff were extremely kind!

They made me call an 800 poison control number that charged me $89 up front to tell me this was a potentially lethal dose (which google already told me) and gave me a case number for them to call and get instructions for care. they came back with a suggestion of 48hrs of fluids and monitoring to the tune of $4800. I about died and told them I'll take her to my regular vet now that theres nothing to do but monitor and fluids. When I called the local vet, they followed up with the same 800 poison control and were told they recommended outpatient monitoring with fluids and meds. Not 48hrs in patient. They quoted $300-$400. I was charged $150 for absolutely nothing and another $89 for them to have an online vet decide what to do and then choose to do differently to make the maximum potential money? If you're looking for a place with all the fancy gadgets and wanting you to max out your credit cards without actually applying medical knowledge or care for YOUR well being, This is the place for you!

The first time, they did not let us see while they did the exam, they brought him to a different room. The second time was for an injury check-up and they did let me stay in the room. The care was good both times, but it's still $100 for a basic check up, and both times it took a long time to be seen. So a 5 minute visit with the vet ended up taking an hour, just with the waiting. All have been great except for one Doctor named Dr. SHIRLEY. Sometimes one expirence destroys the rest. Our cat had a mass. We were clear to minimize stress and procedures on our high anxiety cat. The vet used a fine-needle biopsy without telling us there was a more definitive core biopsy was an option until AFTER!!! The results were inconclusive, forcing our sick cat to endure more stress and waste our resource money. They ignored our primary concern, and SHIRLEYS CHOICE created more trauma. She could have given us all the information but instead she gave us the option she thought was best and took our money depleting resources that we didn't have to begin with at the time due to our other cats cancer treatments. If SHIRLEY actually listened we would have done the other type of biopsy but she didnt give us options. We've lost all trust at least with that particular Dr. If you have a complex case, you cannot trust SHIRLEY. I AM SO MAD YOU BROKE OUR TRUST AND STRESSED OUT MY BABY STOLE OUR MONEY TAKING FROM HIS NEEDED CARE. I guess a 3 to be fair to average the score because we are not allowed to score individually. We do really appreciate the care and help from everyone but Dr. SHIRLEY. We wasted over $1000 of resource and we still need a another biopsy...meaning double stress for our cat...that money we would of prefferef to use on the other type of biopsy had we known about it. I can't get our time, stress or money back and I did try. We feel robbed. We didn't even get what we called them for. We needed rabies shots for our cats and it cost over $400 for them to come out and NOT give them the shots. We would have been fine paying that amount if they had actually given them their needed shots. In picking up meds for our elderly cat, I noticed a "dispensing fee", even though they already mark up the meds by over 100% from what I pay on Chewy. When I asked about it, Dr. Melco said he was being transparent, but never told me about the fee. I noticed it when I received the receipt AFTER I paid. It looks really disingenuous when the vet says he is being transparent about a fee he did not tell me I was being charged. This is not an ethical business practice and we will be going elsewhere for our vet care from now on.
