Valvoline Instant Oil Change

Valvoline Instant Oil Change

(32 reviews)

If you're like me, you dread getting your oil changed. Not because of the time it takes or the…read moremoney you spend, but because of the sales pitches and upsells you'll inevitably be offered during the process. I've been to this Valvoline location a few times, and rarely feel any of this stress. Sure, they mention a few recommendations (tire rotation, air conditioner re-charges), but quickly back off if you're not interested. A other places, it seems like you need to fend them off with a stick, but not here. They're fast, too. The last time I went in there, I never even got out of the car. A very friendly technician guided me through what to do - test the lights, blinker, brake lights, A/C, etc. He then had me put my key on the dash (for safety reasons, I assume), and I waited while they did their work. I paid right there and was on my way in about 10 minutes. As another reviewer says, there are $5-$10 coupons all over the place for this location, so rarely should you have to pay full price. Another nice little perk - if you have some hardware store needs, there's a store right across the street so you can shop while they change your oil. I just moved into the area, so I'm very happy to have found a quality place to get my oil changed.

The workers here were nice, but were lazy and withheld information or just did not know what they…read morewere talking about. One of my front lightbulbs was out, and I went there to have it replaced. The workers attempted to fix one light bulb, but then proceeded to tell me I had to see a mechanic. When I asked why, they said it was because of the wires. After taking a look myself, it was clear what the problem was: the light bulbs were broken. The technicians did not want to replace with a new light bulb. Always ask questions and advocate for yourself!!! It may save you a trip to the mechanic.
