The blankets themselves felt very polyester, and I didn't see any natural more breathable fabrics like cotton which is a shame because these were so cute and I was really hoping to find a nice one for Autumn. My friend who lives in SLC introduced me to Minky Couture. I currently own 2 hugs blankets- 1 adult size and 1 grande. I love them. They're so soft. They do get very warm though if using them while sleeping. Every time I go to visit my friend, I end up buying a new blanket since being introduced. I had bought my mom a robe for Christmas online while it was on sale. I bought a XL because I wasn't sure what size to get her. I bought the $2.98 "Free Return for Store Credit or Exchange + Package Protection" just in case it was too big, which it was. So we take it back to exchange it. We walk in and no one asks how we can help you even though we walked in with a giant box in our arms. We walk to the robes which are all the way in the back of store and then they ask if we need help. I said yes we need to exchange this for a smaller size. They find the size we wanted but my mom asked if she could try it on to make sure it fits okay. The girl who was helping us, Emmie, said very rudely that they had different sizes in the back and she could try them on over there. My mom asked do you know what sizes are which and she said I have no idea just look. She was so rude and snippy with my mom which I did not like at all. She took me to the register while my mom was trying on the robe. She looked up my order on their system and said that since I bought it while it was on sale I would have to pay an extra $10 since it wasn't on sale anymore. I showed her my reciept and said I paid extra so if I needed to exchange it, it would be free. She said well there's nothing wrong with it so that doesn't work. Then I said it specifically says "Free Return for Store Credit or Exchange." She says well let me go ask my manager. She leaves for about 5-10 minutes and comes back and says we will let this slide this time but next time will be different just keep that in mind. She was very rude. I have been to the Ogden location to exchange a blanket for a different color and had such a better experience then the Draper location. They didn't give me any problems or anything! They were also very welcoming. I will not be going back to this location. Also, if they offer "Free Return for Store Credit or Exchange + Package Protection" they should really follow through with that. And if they're not going to maybe they shouldn't even offer it! Really disappointed and upset with how rude they were to me. And clearly there is an issue with this because I saw another review with the same problem! And Emmie should really work on her customer service! read more

Poor customer service. Went in here for a return and they wouldn't work with us. The returns were in the original packaging, never been opened or used. But they wouldn't even let us do an exchange. We have been very loyal customers for years, but won't be back after this horrible experience. All we wanted to do was exchange a couple of robes for different robes. read more

It was my first time going into this location because I typically shop at the one in Sugar House. Draper location was decorated beautifully for the holidays, I loved the couches and overall minky atmosphere. I didn't purchase what I went in for because I noticed that when I came in, none of the 4 ladies working greeted me, nor asked me if I was looking for something specific, mind you there was only one customerin the store. She was at the register chatting about what she wanted to buy for some FB coachs baby. Every time I go into the SH location, I'm greeted and helped, nonetheless today in Draper I didn't mind them, instead, I continued to walk around searching for about 10 minutes, until finally I decided to ask for help. I walked to the register to ask some Qs, which were kindly answered. But soon after, a Caucasian lady walks into the store, and immediately, the employee walks over to greet and help her. I've never EVER felt like the color of my skin changed the way a person interacts with me, but today I did. I took my toddler and my newborn and walked out after that. It was a waste on my time to come to this location and I'll keep my business at Sugar House Minky. read more

My brother picked out a beautiful robe for my SIL for Xmas he was so excited ,turned out she needed one size bigger , was not allowed to exchange , only refund and it was on sale and then excepted to pay full price just to get the right size. At Christmas ! I would think an exchange would be made for a gift. I've purchased many things from Minky. Losing a customer. Do better. read more

These blankets are a total rip off. Not worth the money. Sadly grandparents bought these for my sons. These are totally inappropriate gifts for boys. Ridiculous. and they wouldn't give any money back. Their customer service was not good. read more

I laughed at the Minky Couture billboards along the I-15 for years until I won one of their blankets at a raffle. Holy crap, folks. This is the real deal. It is THE softest material you will ever feel, it doesn't fall out like furs do, and it's just as soft after being washed (in cold with regular detergent and air-dried). It's also heavy and very wam. I've now purchased more blankets from Minky Couture because they are so wonderful. I have one draped over my couch and when people feel it they are always amazed that something can be so soft. read more

This is by far my favorite blanket that we own. It's Extremely soft and cozy, it's pretty large and can fit two people and the weight is what makes it so comfortable. They are definitely pricey, but you get the quality that makes it worth the price. read more

Got one for Christmas and love it. I didn't know what all the hype was about. Now I do. They are incredibly soft yet heavy (feels like the blanket has a lot of substance). The weight and softness and smoothness make it incredibly comfortable. I opt to use this blanket over many others every time I watch a show or sit st my computer. My kids love it too but I try to keep it for me. Only negative is some shedding but I read online once washed a few times it will cease. This really is the best most comfy blanket I've had-and I have lots. read more

I really want to be able to give this company 5/5. But I can't bring myself to... my MIL bought us blankets and chose sizes based on the chart. What isn't explained in the chart is that the three inch ruffle around the edge is counted towards the sizing. Which makes it much less than ideal. That's a pretty huge difference. Especially for the smaller sizes like tween. I sort of wish my MIL had just told me what she wanted to do and I could have made everyone blankets just as nice and saved her a fortune. Oh well. They are nice. I'd personally love an option without the ruffle though. You have this ultra warm blanket and then a freezing cold ribbon that lays against you basically no matter what you do. Just my two cents. Maybe if buying from clearance instead of full or close to full price it would be more worth it. But idk. The measurements bother me pretty badly. I recently bought a Monster Minky for myself, sister and mother and these blankets are all they are cracked up to be. Simply amazing. High quality fabric and stitching. The best gift a person can give/get and they come beautifully wrapped. The only draw back I have found is they are so incredibly soft, snuggly and warm, sleeping in the minky is all I want to do. The snooze button and I are now on a first name basis where we once weren't even acquainted. So...buyers beware.
