The staff is VERY FRIENDLY and NICE The Dr. Is very professional ,has the best Interest to help you . She is good at her job and will take her time with you. Good selection of frames ;Versace , Michael kors, Tiffany and co , Coco Song , Ray Ban, Oakley sunglasses . Clean facility good lighting , modern touch with the floors furniture & decor Mac desk tops. The past 3 times I have been here I make an appointment at 10 am during a weekday Tuesday/ Wednesday when they open I want to be first so I can make it to work on time , I l have had to wait at least 20 minutes before getting called in . Note: I get there minutes before they open and wait outside . They open . I check in . And wait . I feel like it could be a lot faster . For some reason every time I call I get the answering machine so I leave a message . YES they always return my phone call which I appreciate . I had my first appointment in November .I got my trial contacts in December it took a while but they explained why . I had trouble seeing with my left eye in the trials .so I had to make another appointment for Feb .16 which was the earliest available . NOTE: I wear daily (one day) contacts thankfully I didn't wait till last minute because I would have ran out of my contacts and had to wear my glasses which I don't like using to work nor can I use them for work . So it's just been a LONG process . And I know when I decide to order my contacts it'll probably be 3 weeks to a month because I use contact lenses with astigmatism and my prescription they never have it in stock in most opticals . In conclusion , Appt time : 10am Try on trial contacts 10:25am Wait until 10:50 am to be called in by Dr. I left at 11:12am read more

Dr. Minkes and her staff are the epitome of excellence in eye care. The eye exams are very comprehensive and she take the time to explain any issues and answers all of your questions. What you don't get when you go to this practice which I had experienced at another provider is a high pressure to buy glasses there. With that said, it is definitely worth a look at the frames they sell as they have ones for every budget. Last week I called the practice as I had an eye emergency. I called to request an appointment expecting to have to wait until the next day, but much to my surprise, I was sitting in the exam chair an hour and a half later. Dr. Minkes herself called me a few days later to hear how the eye was doing. If you desire a comprehensive exam, professionalism and fairly priced eyewear, pay Dr. Minkes a visit. Yo won't be disappointed. read more

Used to like this place, but things have gone downhill. I like Dr. Minkes but the staff and Gustavo need to improve their customer service. My mother sent in two pairs of glasses to get a minor repair and change of lenses. She was told it would take approximately a week. A week passed and we called to check on the status and was told to wait another week. No one attempted to email or call us with updates at all even though they have our contact info on file. It finally reached a month and my mom stopped by in person and, lo and behold, the glasses are ready. Gustavo didn't apologize for the long wait. She needed these glasses for work so it was quite disappointing to see this repair take such a long time. Such unprofessionalism. Good luck! read more

I have been a patient of Dr Minkes for years. Your appointment time is honored. You are given options as to add-ons for the exam; which if you are on a budget allow you to pick the exams a la carte. Dr Minkes is knowledgeable and even though she has an extensive selection of eye ware on premises she does not push them onto you. Parking: it's in a strip mall so plenty. Service: superb. read more

We came here because my girls and I were looking for a better solution for our eye exams and glasses. We were recommended by a friend who has been coming here for years and swears by them. Boy was she right, we love coming here the staff is amazing. Dr. Minkes is the best, she is super sweet and takes her time to make sure you get what you need, she never makes you feel rushed when performing an eye exam. Everyone here is super friendly, helpful and has lots of patience with my girls and I. Furthermore, they have a great selection of eyewear, the best I've see anywhere. My girls have been wearing glasses for 17 years so we have been to pretty much every other store for glasses and the selection here is the best and they help you with selecting the best fit for your face and prescription. I will never leave Dr. Minkes & Associates read more

I've been here three times already and the doctor is wonderful. This year I took my two kids age 7 and 10 and she was so patient with them and they weren't easy patients. The nurse/front desk lady was also very nice and sweet. They also have a variety of expensive and less expensive glasses which I like since I'm not going for the super expensive ones. read more

Worst optical , they mistreat clients and their employees . The doctor and her husband are extremely unprofessional and rude . Don't come here !!! read more

My initial impression of Minkes was quite good as Sam was very pleasant and quite knowledge on frames as well as the different type of lenses. I felt badly as I entered the store a short while before the closing time on that Saturday but Sam assured me that it was all right. When I picked up my glasses almost 2 weeks later, I was very unpleasantly surprised that none of the staff there would know how to adjust the nose pads so the glasses could fit correctly and comfortably. The only thing they offered to do is to adjust the length of the ear pieces and even that wasn't done right. I wish the staff would be trained to do a more complete job. read more

First time visit and was not impressed. I live in Plantation and visit miami from time to time due to work. Because of time limitation, I searched for a good Optometrist and chose this office because of all the amazing reviews. I don't know why the great reviews. I will not go in to the details of my visit but Dr. Minkes has a bit of an attitude. She seems friendly at first but then turns on you with a completely different personality. Was not comfortable with that at all and will be looking further for a much closer Optometrist. The office staff is very friendly. read more

I ordered contacts with Minkes and they were able to ship them to me super fast- the places Ive gone before always have me waiting weeks and weeks but these guys were quick. Brittany, the girl i spoke to on the phone, was also really nice and helpful read more

Dr. Minkes and her staff are professional. We were greeted by friendly staff upon arrival then timely escorted to our appointment with Dr. Minkes who has years of experience with insight into individualized care. Prices of merchandise is exceptionally reasonable where as I was able to afford a second pair of glasses due to her promotion going on at the time. My husband and I are lifetime patients, and have extreme confidence in her expertise. read more

I had my vision and eye exam with dr & appreciate the time she took with the tests and how she answered all my questions. Also, not typical in Miami, I was seen at the time of my appointment. Loved my glasses. I was only able to have long distance done (one sunglasses with prescription and another clear for night or darker days) since was unable to spend more on reading/computer, but I am happy and kept my cheaters for work. read more

Dr. Minkes is wonderful, has great manners and pays attention to your needs closely. She's sweet and personable and always presents to you your options and alternatives. A wonderful experience! The staff was very professional, friendly and very helpful! Dr. Minkes took her time with me and answered all of my questions and concerns. I live out of state, and they also didn't see a problem in mailing my eyeglasses to my home in Tennessee. Next time I need another pair, I'll make sure to coordinate a trip to Miami! Great eyeglass selection as well. Overall, a very pleasant and stress free experience. Highly, highly recommend. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Minkes for a few yrs now and unfortunately stopped seeing her for about a year because they had moved to the Dadeland Mall area. However she now has a new office and it is wonderful. Plenty of parking, very friendly and knowledgeable staff and many eyeglass styles to choose from! I can honestly say that once you go see her, you'll never go see anyone else! read more

I really appreciate all that Dr. Minkes did for myself and my husband. She really took the time to go over all of our concerns and also told of how we may be able to get money back from another place where we purchased eyeglasses from instead of her jumping right away to get the glasses from her. Dr. Minkes staff is professional and courteous. We will be patients of her's for many years to come. read more

I've been going to Dr. Minkes as long as I could, pretty much. She took her old space over from another optometrist (whom I previously went to) years ago. I actually still go here despite living in New England for the past 9 years. She always remembers and asks how I'm "doing up there". They've even shipped lenses to me up very promptly. I love their new space and how close it is to my parents' house. Their glasses take longer to come back with the prescription, but it's nothing unbearable. read more

The service I recieved Saturday December 6, 2014 was by far the BEST I have gotten in the area thus far. The attendents were pleasant and attentive- Dr Balazary (hopefully I am spelling her name correct) was very informative and answered all of my inquries with no rush even though the office was full. I would recommend this optomerty office to any and everyone who may ask! Thank you ladies, for such amazing service!! read more

I was helped out by Dr. Morvarid Fallazadeh. She was so sweet and helpful. I have a huge fear of putting things in or near my eyes, she was very helpful and patient for helping me put on contacts for the time and it took me forever lol! The staff in the front are very nice! Their times of availability and the fact that there's a Lens Crafters makes it so convenient for you! I was also given a free bottle of contact disinfectant, eye lubricant solution, and a week trial of eye contacts for free to see how I liked them. GO HERE PEOPLE! read more

Finally an optometrist that knows what they are doing. I have been to several and because of my two prior detached retinas, my prescriptions are a challenge to obtain. Normally, I don't review anyone or anything online, however, this was possibly the worst experience I have ever had at an optician. The receptionists and doctor were beyond rude. It was as if they were doing me a favor by being there. Was left for 20 minutes after trying on lenses to be rechecked, I had to go and find someone to check me. The doctor didn't believe me when trying different prescriptions for lenses, suggested I get over the fact that my eyes were sore from the contacts and to get used to it. Was asked to make an appointment to be rechecked in a week, receptionist told me they had no available appointments. Doctor then changed it to 2 weeks, again, receptionist told me they had no available appointments. Then asked if I could come at 11am on a weekday. I said, I have to work between 8am and 5pm, is there anything after? Receptionist asked what my job was and why couldn't I take time off to come? To add insult to injury, I was 15 minutes early to my appointment and ended being at the office for 2.5 hours in total. The whole experience was entirely unpleasant. The receptionist and doctor were rude, unpleasant and lacked any sort of professionalism. The receptionist spent most of their time on their personal phone and talking about the classes they were taking at a community college. Hardly appropriate for a doctor receptionist. I would never recommend anyone to this office and I definitely won't be returning ever. read more

I did not expect much from a mall optometrist- the first time I went, I picked them b/c i needed new contacts fast before a trip. I have been going there 3 years now. Dr. Minkes is thorough, asks the right questions & suggests good options. The staff is helpful, even over email & I like that I can make an appt online. My complaints are that even with an appointment there has been a long wait every time, the last time I was seen almost an hour after my 11:30 am appt time. I am happy enough with the place that I will keep going there but now will just make sure to block out at least 2 hrs to get it done. In the waiting area I have no cell reception either. Would really love if they offered wifi so I could keep busy during the long wait. My other complaint is with the vision testing machine where you read the letters. It has shadows & looks like it is dirty on the inside. The doctor does much more careful evaluation of vision acuity so in the end I don't think this matters, they are just getting a rough idea for where the doc should start I think but still it is a little annoying & does not give a good impression for patients. All in all I am surprisingly satisfied with the place & will keep using the practice as my routine eye care. read more
