I've been getting eyelash extensions for two years in the west, so I am well versed. I wanted to try out Minked by Meech because of all the good reviews so I set up an appointment with Nexie. My first red flag was that when I was getting my lashes, done a girl from the day before had come in to get some lashes fixed (by Nexie) because some fell out. I didn't pay any mind because some people might be going thru their 'fall shed' right now. I was wrong. The very next day I woke up to some loose lashes that fell out when I did my morning brush. I was worried but then I though maybe I was shedding too? Wrong again! All my fake lashed fell off within 3 days with my natural lashes still in tack. Every extension fell WITHOUT a natural lash attached. Also, my appointment was at 11. I showed up at 10:55 (almost late for someone who likes to be early) Nexie showed up a little after 11 with Mcdonald's and ate it while I was laying down waiting to get my lashes done. Of course I let her eat because she was hungry but that was extremely unprofessional, even if it is Miami. I had left for vacation out of the state (July 1st) so there was no time for me to come in. I haven't called or complained because I won't go back, but this review is for others who want to be aware. My appointment was June 29th, at 11 am. read more

PLEASE READ ENTIRELY: I have been coming to Minked By Meech for about 6 months. I started off with two bad experiences with a tech that is no longer there. So I wanted to wait for consistent experiences to write a review. So my bad experience was handled by the owner very well. She reached out to me to hear my issues and concerns. She resolved the situation and offered me to come back and have my lashes done by her. Let me tell you, her hands are God. She is the QUEEN OF LASHES! I do a classic eyelash and they look amazing. She literally leaves every lash with an extension. I've had my lashes done before by other people (not by this establishment) and they would take hours and charge me an arm and a leg. My eyelashes would get damaged so badly that I would be missing a few. I would leave with my eyes bloodshot red. I leave there with clear eyes. I asked her last time how my natural lashes were doing, so she took a picture of them to show me. My natural lashes are unharmed and perfect! TRUST ME this is the place to get them done. I drive all the way from Aventura to get them done here, and that's usually an hour drive with traffic. But it doesn't matter because I get my lashes done once a month and they are perfection. Now the shop is a little hard to find because it's in a smaller plaza next to CVS. There is no parking there but you can park at CVS. The salon has a pretty glass door that leads you to these white floors and pretty counter top. In the lobby you'll be welcomed by the mascot herself, Stella. Stella is adorable. She is Meech's dog and she literally welcomes everyone and will lay with you while your getting your lashes done. In the lobby you'll see a shelf with a few merchandise you can purchase. I bought a cute pair of shoes today! You walk thru a white curtain to see these black chairs aligned. Every tech has their chair and station. The music is always great. Once I walked in and they were playing spa music and I felt as if I was at the spa. There are blankets offered if you get cold but just cuddle with Stella. All in all, Meech is super humble and a go-getter starting this business. I look forward to coming in once a month and talking up a storm with her. Absolutely HORRIBLE. Cancels last minute to go out partying. Doesn't even have the audacity to call you and tell you until you show up. Apparently you have to be okay with her canceling without telling you(happened more than 4 times already), but if you cancel ONCE due to covid, she wants to charge you. She exploits her client after on IG and harassed them after. On top of that she's a compulsive liar to get her way and it's nit even hygienic, I went to her out of pity because she has a kid, but her work ethic is complete trash. I would know because I'm an esthetician and the way she goes about things is disrespectful and appalling. She uses the fact that she has a daughter for you to feel sorry for her, but if she really cared then she would have some work ethics but she doesn't. I've been getting my lashes done with Meech for the past year and a half religiously every 2-3 weeks. I originally found her on Instagram after a not so great experience with another lash tech. My lash extensions always look amazing and my natural lashes are very healthy. My extensions last well over 2 weeks when I actually take the time to clean and dry them. I would not get my lashes done anywhere else. I cannot imagine myself with lashes anymore. Every single time I get my lashes refilled I fall in love again. I have been a client of Meech for quite some time now. I cannot say enough about this place! Ladies, if you've ever had your lashes extended you know what an instant beauty BOOST it is. Upon entering, you will notice the boutique is clean and welcoming, usually with a few other girls just getting lashed-up! The resident mascot, Stella, is always happy to greet you with puppy kisses. I always book with meech and leave a happy customer the experience is fairly quick (1 hr for a full set) and my lashes typically last me around 3-4 weeks but her other technicians are just as great. With my lashes done, I've noticed I wear less makeup (concealer and go!) yet still feel confident and beautiful. My skin appreciates it! PRO TIPS: 1. Wash your hair the morning before going in so dont have to worry about getting them wet for a few days. 2. Make sure your lids are CLEAN and free of oils (now is not the time to use eye makeup remover with oil in it). Otherwise you risk the lashes falling prematurely. 3. Do not touch, pull, or wipe your lashes. Brush them in the morning and at night and be sure to blow dry them up after a shower as the glue will get gummy and you want them to stay in place. 4. Your lashes naturally shed. So of course, eventually they will fall with the extension attached. Fear not, you're not losing your lashes. 5. Make your refill appt right upon leaving as spots fill up quickly. read more

Warning: if you care about the integrity of your lashes, don't come here. I have visited Minked by Meech 2x. The first time Meech did my eyelashes but on my other visit , her employee (Gabrielle) did my eyelashes. I booked with Meech since she's the owner. However, when I arrived she did not want to accommodate me due to her working on another client. I asked how long it would be and she said an hour and insisted I go with her employee. After that, she went to lunch with the client who turned out to be her friend who she was working on. Needless to say, I wasn't very happy with my set and when I went to get them removed I was horrified at the condition of my eyelashes. I got a "volume" set, I know now that my set was heavy and too much glue was used. When I went to a new eyelash artist, she told me it was the worst set she'd ever worked on and that my eyelashes would need to grow back since they were extremely damaged. STAY AWAY... Michelle is the owner of this establishment and she doesn't have a clue how to treat a client. I called on Saturday December 15 at 4:00pm for a full set of eyelash since my go to go to stylist was completely booked and I wanted beautiful lashes for the holiday season. HUGE Mistake on Sunday my both eyes got irritated and started itching I thought I was going to be able to tolerate them and start feeling better. Monday morning my eye was completely swollen, red and totally irritated. I called Michelle as soon as she open to express my concerns since at that point I was loosing my eyesight. Michelle was completely unsympathetic of my situation so I decided to walk in so she can see the reaction I had obtain from her eyelashes. Again Michelle did not care whatsoever nor showed any concerns about the condition of my eye or eyesight. She told me she was booked all day and she didn't have any appointment so I decided to wait she didn't allow me to walk in and made me sit at the waiting area the moment she was done with her client the client felt super bad and showed more compassion than her. I was at her place of business for 10 minutes after her last appointment no one showed up and she later said she needed to leave that she wasn't going to touch me that I was a liability.Please save your money time and hardship. So I made an appointment with meech for eyebrow shaping and tinting for today at 1:30pm. I was told by one of her techs that she was working from home and no longer at the store. If it wasn't for her tech, I wouldn't of known how to contact her or where her address is even located. I arrived to her house at 1:11pm for my appointment. I sent her a nice text message letting her know I've arrived and I've parked my car outside her house. Mind you her house is gated and there's no way to ring a door bell. I place a call just to let her know I've arrived. No answer. I waited patiently until 1:30pm until I made a second call. No answer. (Now it's 2:40pm) 2 text messages and 5 phone calls later, and Im still waiting outside in my car with +98*F heat. I ended up calling Doral eyebrow design for a STAT appointment. They took me in right away. It's also currently 3:27pm and I'm still waiting for a response from the owner. I will never again do business with her or recommend anyone to her. I'd only wait this long to be seen if I'm at a doctors office. Unacceptable for eyebrows. I'm expecting a FULL REFUND. I LOVE getting my lashes done here. They always look so pretty and fluffy and after two weeks they still look AMAZING. Barely any of my lashes ever fall. I definitely recommend coming here. I do my lashes with Meech, which is the owner of this establishment ,and have been coming here for months and have never had a problem. The people are nice and really hard workers. I've seen my friends do their lashes at almost every other place in miami and the prices may be cheaper but the quality does not compare. I really debated on posting this because I was hoping for a better customer service result but unfortunately, I did not receive it. On November 19th at around 10:15-10:30pm a chemical was dropped into my eye mistakenly a day before getting onto a plane and heading to Spain. I went straight to the emergency room from the salon and they immediately sent me to Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. They advised me that my eye suffered minor burns and I had to apply medication to it for the next couple of weeks. I immediately notified the young lady that did my lashes and she apologized for what happened and advised that she reached out to her manager and her manager approved a refund to my account right away. I was not able to go into work the next day and my trip to Spain was slightly ruined. It hurt to blink or role my eyes the entire trip. When I returned from my trip the refund still hadn't hit my account so I reached out to the owner and she advised that a refund will not be issued as I need to provide proof that the irritation to my eye was caused by a chemical in her salon. It just seemed so crazy to me since she has cameras in her salon and can see everything that's happening. I also have conversation proof of the employee apologizing for what happened and advising that I would receive a refund. The young lady that did my lashes was so nervous that she kept dropping Visine into my eye to help with the redness. I know she was just trying to help but unfortunately, it made the situation worse. Luckily, I provided the hospital papers to the bank and they returned the money to my account and are undergoing an investigation. I am also looking into meeting with my lawyer to see how we can go about this situation. Lucky, we live in a time where cell towers can pin point where you were and at what time. I am not the one to do this or take things this far but I seriously could have lost my vision and things could have been so much worse. The fact that the owner did not care, shows how much the owner truly cares about her customers. Please be careful when going to this salon. If I can rate no stars I would. I was so excited to get my lashes done because I'm getting married this Friday but the owner and the workers are so unprofessional. I was on time for my appointment actually 5 mins early and the salon was closed. I called the phone was disconnected and I dm them on instagram and no answer. I waited for 10 mins in front of the salon and decided to go to my car which is in the back of the salon to write an email to them, thinking they forgot my appointment. One the girls came out from the back of salon and she said was in the salon 5 mins after my appointment time which was lie . Love this place! The location is super cute. When I first arrived they were very friendly showed me the options and recommended what would be best. I got my lashes done with Nexie, she was super sweet and patient. Unfortunately I have really sensitive eyes that get watery super fast! Despite this she was very patient and was able to work through it with me. Loved my lashes, and got so many compliments. I also went on a cruise two days after I got them done, was in the water and sun often and my lashes still look like I just got them done. Great place, great service, and awesome lash stylists! i had a similar experience to many of the reviews posted about being cancelled on last minute, by the owner. i would definitely proceed with cation and go with your second choice if considering this place... i don't do my lashes often but had a trip coming up. a co-worker recommended this place. she hadn't been personally but follows the IG account, def telling her and i everyone i know NOT TO GO. scheduled an appt the day before for 1pm and got all the confirmation texts and emails. i even called to confirm because of what i had read about in the reviews. red flag #1 someone answered as if it were a personal call just saying hello, no business intro nothing. i asked to confirm my appt she goes did you receive a confirmation text, yes i did and that was it no date/time/tech etc. i went to my appt already uneasy. 30 min prior i receive a text saying my appt is delayed 45 min. this was it, it was happening to me too! i remained hopeful, killed some time in the area and went into the business around 1:20 (25 min early) to wait. upon entering there appears to be no one there, no greeting no nothing. i hear a tech working on someone else in the back who didn't acknowledge me at all. while waiting, i feel an itch on my feet and realize there are ants all over the floor! it was really gross and i was really second guessing if i should stay or not. 5 MIN BEFORE THE START TIME OF MY APPT.. i get another text saying my appt had been cancelled. i was so angry and there wasn't even anyone there to talk to about it. the owner reached out via text saying her car had just been taken at the doctor's? if so that's unfortunate but i don't believe it given all the similar reviews. she offered to reschedule and give me half off but i am completely turned off. the unprofessionalism and uncleanliness was not acceptable. why didn't she refer me to another tech? or do anything to attempt to salvage the situation, especially after explaining i was waiting for two hours with my drive and the 45 min delay. as the business owner you would expect more sympathy. truly a horrible experience, please save yourself the time. read more
