U-Haul Moving & Storage of East Providence - Propane station

I can only comment on the propane refill service as, that is all I used…read more I drove into the parking lot and easily found the propane service area. I went inside to let the staff know I was there and paid for my refill. Within minutes a female staff member was at the propane tank quickly filling up my tank. I would say overall it took about ten minutes - I would come here for propane again. Price was slightly cheaper than my usual place.

Had a tow package installed in my car. It didn't work. There were no brake lights. Didn't use it…read moreagain for a few months but needed to so I called them to have them fix it. They said I could come in the next week. I went in when I was told I could. The surly man behind the counter said they wouldn't look at it because I "didn't have an appointment" (which I had been told I didn't need when I called a week later). He said all he could do is order a new part. I asked if they could just look at it to see if it even needed that part because it could just have been hooked up wrong. He wouldn't even look at it. He then gave me a hard time because I hadn't brought it back sooner. It was only installed 10 months ago and used once. I had not had time to bring it back sooner as it wasn't needed. Regardless, it was still within the warranty period. My last car I had the tow package installed by cap city in Warwick. They did it right the first time, were courteous and professional. If you need a tow hitch installed, I suggest you go there instead.

Had a problem where they suspected damage years ago and they had to check the storage unit…read more.. Didn't get much info but apparently it was ok? We came in and everything was fine but we should have been notified immediately. This year the price has gone up closer to almost another extra 25-30 dollars if I recall and that's a pretty big hike considering it was like 50. Also considering the fact we were *NOT* notified despite them assuring us they sent word out (only after the fact when called) so I'm not sure if that was sheer laziness by not checking all the boxes or if they were just trying to pull the wool over our eyes. We literally only found out upon paying it after the new year. No mail, texts, or anything. We're thinking about cleaning it out and bringing things home because moving everything somewhere else or finding someone to do that would be too much of a hassle as I'm very disabled and can barely get out of the house. Can't fault them for this but not a very good situation to be in and I still hold a lot of grief regarding my father and another relative's deaths which is what forced us to get a storage unit in the first place because of my father's sister locking us out when I was still basically a kid. She took the house and lives literally right down the street from where we ended up having to put our stuff. I feel bad for the staff because just judging by the way they worded things and their tone of voice when asked about the increase ('it's the owner') he sounds like a piece of work

The good: The facility is clean, well-maintained, secure, and reasonably priced…read more I had to call the maintenance staff twice to open the freight elevator when it was stuck. In both cases they came promptly and were friendly. The bad: The storage lockers are open only from 7AM to 7PM, seven days a week. Maintenance staff is available only from 7AM to 3:30 PM, Monday thru Friday. Passengers are not allowed in the freight elevator. The elevator has both an inside door and an outside door, both on ground level and on the second floor. If all four doors are not closed and latched, the elevator gets stuck and you have to call maintenance. You have to climb a flight of 17 stairs to get to the second floor because you can't ride in the elevator.

I have used Prime Storage, Warren for the past five years; starting with Covid. I find the facility…read moreto be well maintained and recently I added a second storage unit. I've worked with Ashley, office manager, during this period and have found her to be highly professional and willing to listen to my needs. While I have not always been happy when prices have been increased without prior notice, Ashley has shown a willingness to speak with management and often the price has been readjusted downward, to what I deem to be acceptable and a fair level. Overall, I feel the Warren facility meets our needs (we live in Bristol), is well maintained and, probably most important, I feel that Ashley has shown a willingness to work with me on maintaining a fair price, within corporate guidelines. Prime Storage - Warren November 2024 was offered a 10 x 12…read morefor $99.00 a month plus $17.00 insurance for $116.00 a month with first month free. Received an email in January telling me that it was going to increase to $202.00 a month starting in February. Called spoke to customer service they lowered to $133.00 then I stopped at the Warren office and Ashley said she would look into it and call me. She was able to get it back to the original $116.00 but that lasted a month. In February received another email that is was going up in March to $199.00 a month. I know several people who rent storage at Prime in Swansea and do not have this problem. The manager and other people I have dealt with at Prime in Swansea have been nice and very helpful. When I went to move out of my storage in Warren I noticed one of the locks was cut off and there was a different lock on the second door. They gave me a unit with 2 doors that was at one time two separate units. I went to the office and the woman came to look and took pictures. She said they would have to look back on the video and see who it was. So odd that someone would cut off my lock and then put one there but not say anything to the office. The doors and gate have been open in this place for months. Anyone could go in and out at any time. They have a storage facility where anyone can get access inside at any time yet still trying to raise the storage fees but not providing you with the security and safety. It's been over a week and I have called twice and they still don't know who cut my lock. Here answer to me was she's not sure if the security coverage lapsed during that time. They just keep asking me if anything is missing. I rented from there originally because I live on the street and it was convenient but do yourself a favor and do your research and stay away from that place.
