My dentist was also on vacation, but he had a substitute who saw me and referred me to the top oral surgeon in Westchester. Dr. Jeffrey I. Stein, 4 Cromwell Place, White Plains, NY 10601 (914) 761-4567 extracted the tooth and cleaned up the infection. He placed me on antibiotics for a week and provided written and oral instructions to both me and my husband for my post-operative care. This trauma was virtually pain-free with no complications, and I am enjoying my cruise and beginning to eat regular food again. The staff and doctor were extraordinarily skilled and compassionate. If you need a top oral surgeon, see Dr. Stein.

As a new patient we filled out the usual forms including providing insurance information. Never occurred to us that the practice does not take dental insurance. A wisdom tooth extraction is a pretty common procedure. I've had all four of mine extracted at one time or another. All covered by dental insurance with no problems. My husband came out of the evaluation. Then they informed us it was 260.00 for the x-rays and that they don't take any dental insurance. Then they informed us that the procedure for all four extractions would be $3,000.00!!! I informed them that they will not be our dental surgeon. If you are rich go ahead. But at the very least this practice should tell you that they don't take dental insurance first thing. Very misleading. Bye-bye!

Do not come here. I…read morewas looking for a new local dentist. They were able to fit me in, so I stopped in. They said they take insurance and they were listed on providers that my insurance company covers. WP Dental told me I had to pay for all visits upfront in cash before I could be seen and then they would contact my insurance company. I have never experienced this before and this is very illegal. I went in for a follow up because I had jaw pain. I waited over an hour to be seen and I ended up walking out. I do not recommend this place due to price gauging and lack of professionalism.

I am extremely dissatisfied with my husband recent visit to this dental office. We scheduled what…read morewas clearly a routine yearly teeth cleaning, which is fully covered under our dental insurance when performed by an in-network provider. We both have been treated at this office before and intentionally returned because they advertise participation with our insurance plan. During this visit, he was never informed verbally or in writing that the dental hygienist performing his deep cleaning would be billed under a different dentist who is OUT OF NETWORK. This information was not disclosed prior to treatment, nor was he given the opportunity to decline or make an informed decision. Only after the appointment did he discover that the services were billed under an out-of-network dentist, resulting in unexpected charges for what should have been covered care. At no point did anyone explain this arrangement, obtain his consent, or provide cost transparency before proceeding. This practice feels deceptive and unethical. Patients should not be expected to navigate hidden provider assignments or surprise billing within the same office especially when they explicitly choose an in-network practice to avoid these exact situations. Trust and transparency are essential in healthcare. Unfortunately, this experience demonstrated a serious problem in informing the patient. It's not the money that we had to pay out of pocket, it was the bait & switch that was done.

My goal was met - provide my daughter with excellent, compassionate dental care as a child that would set her on a path of lifelong great oral health. My daughter is now almost 30 and has never had a cavity and cleans her back teeth well. As well, she now sets her own goals for her dental visits and has received comments from the hygienist that she flosses so well, that she makes their job easy. I'm not sure if my daughter was the first, but I do know she was given "the talk" from Dr. Patel. As a mother, I was prepared to pick up the pieces after the talk, but it was delivered with compassion and received well. The talk was, "we love having you as a patient, but now that you have outgrown our pediatric equipment (my daughter and I are both 5'9") you are going to have to find another provider when you come home from college. Parents - if you are looking for a community to support your child's health through excellent dental care, this is it. We miss you all! Deej and Mom

My daughter did a gymnastics move into the kitchen counter Friday night of Thanksgiving weekend…read more Dr. Patel was exceptional. She responded immediately, kept in touch Friday night as we navigated the Emergency room and even called me at 2am when she heard we were finally leaving the ER. She reached out early Saturday with an early morning appointment with an oral surgeon and continued to reach out throughout the week to make sure my daoughter was recovering well. She has to be the most considerate Doctor ever.

He did not rush me out of the chair and actually took time to talk to me in his office about the health of my teeth before leaving the office. He is a professional and has a naturally lovely personality. That day I always had my teeth cleaned by Karen the Hygienist, she took her time and was wonderful. Honestly, I was made to feel welcome and comfortable both by the friendly competence of the staff and the pleasant environment of the office. Plus, Amanda the Office Assistant was wonderful and very professional. Kudos and the highest recommendation to Dr. Carpentieri, and everyone at the Westchester Restorative Dentistry and Implantology office.
