They were so kind, fixed the painful denture I was left with at no extra cost and gave me a professional assessment of the damages. They were extensive, including an exposed nerve. Can you tell? (I know this probably isn't the norm, but they were fantastic about scheduling.) Carolyn was my hygienist and Dr. Kogan was my dentist. Carolyn was judgement free and super friendly. She really spent time with me and focused on making sure I knew what I can and should do to keep my mouth healthy. She was phenomenal, gentle, and kind. I can't say enough great things about her. Dr. Kogan was also timely, helpful, and understanding. They both took the time to explain things to me in a way that made sense. Though not the most important, the parking is also super easy (which can sometimes be a pain in this area). I can't say enough good things about Dental Center of Westport!

Box 340308 Hartford, CT 06134-0308 Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Breach of Care, Malpractice, and Unfulfilled Dental Services - Dr. Sung Nam, Tend Dental (Westport, CT) Dear Members of the Connecticut State Dental Commission, I am writing to formally express my serious concerns regarding the care I received at Tend Dental in Westport, Connecticut, under the supervision of Dr. Sung Nam, DDS. I initially sought treatment in 2023 for the replacement of a previously failed bridge, along with additional procedures. What followed was a deeply distressing series of miscommunications, failed treatments, and, ultimately, abandonment of care--leaving me physically, emotionally, and financially harmed. A bridge was placed by Dr. Nam that failed shortly after installation. Rather than addressing the issue with a proper replacement, as was initially discussed and agreed upon, I was instead left with a removable prosthetic denture. This was not the treatment I sought or consented to as a permanent solution. When I returned for follow-up, I was told--without any meaningful explanation--"No, no, no, we're not going to do that. This is the last we can do." I was hurried out of the office, confused, and in disbelief. This experience has left me with: - A fractured adjacent tooth and a continued open bite - A permanent facial disfigurement, with visible distortion of my smile - A prosthetic that appears to have been intentionally shaped to push my upper canine tooth forward and cause my front teeth to cross - Collapse of my lower bite, leading to functional difficulties in eating and speaking - Deep emotional distress and a profound loss of trust - A financial burden for incomplete and failed dental work Despite initial assurances and a clear treatment plan, no restorative steps were honored. Follow-up efforts through Studio Manager Jose Almonte yielded no results--only vague promises and avoidance. Please consider this letter an official complaint. I am documenting the following formal allegations: - Breach of contract and failure to provide agreed-upon care - Negligence resulting in long-term physical and emotional harm - Malpractice concerning the installation and abandonment of a failed dental prosthesis - Unprofessional conduct and evasion of patient responsibility I am currently exploring legal remedies and will also be reporting this matter to consumer protection agencies. I respectfully request: 1. A full investigation into Dr. Nam's conduct 2. A review of any prior or ongoing complaints 3.
