Friendly service and truly the best fried chicken. Picked some up to take for our plane ride home.

All I have to say when in the islands is the gas station food is different than the mainland. They serve fried chicken and it's good.

The exterior, and interior, of the building is nothing special. As a matter of fact, that's part of what I loved about it; it helps you realize it's an all around fantastic food joint, not just somewhere that charges overpriced amounts for average food because of the "vibe." It's extremely busy inside this place, and staff was extremely friendly and pretty quick with turning out orders. I ordered a two entree plate, which consisted of their teriyaki chicken and pina colada shrimp, per the recommendation of the woman taking my order. The shrimp was incredible and the pins colada sauce that it comes with it's something I now dream about! The chicken was also great. It's dark meat, which is something to keep in mind in case you're a pickier eater, but the char and flavor of it was wonderful. For the sides I ordered rice and their mac salad. I'm not usually a mac salad kind of guy, but this changed my mind and I can now say I'm a true fan. This is perhaps one of the best places I've eaten between the two islands I visited on this trip, and I can't say enough good things about it!

We came for Paradise…read moreBakery and decided we wanted to try this place for a snack as it looked so good, and was in the same food court mall! Note: The food court mall was a little off the beaten path, behind a gas station. It's an open air seating and houses a number of local establishments that seem more catered to locals than tourists. There is ample seating, and restrooms are available. The only bad part about it is it can get a bit hot and stuffy in there, but at least they had big fans blowing. The chicken karaage (family size) was oh so good - very fresh, big pieces, and a yummy taste! Everything was fried fresh to order. Found it sweet that a haole woman who spoke fluent Japanese seemed to be training a younger Japanese gentleman who didn't speak much English. Wished we were staying on the island longer as we'd love to come back to try other menu items!

Hesitation was instilled once I realized it was part of a random food court kind of in the middle of nowhere but did not count it out completely. 3. Disregarded as there seemed to be potentially better options out there for our meal choices. 4. Enjoy our other meal option. 5. Per chance, happen to swing by this food court per request of a family member in hopes of grabbing some Malasadas in the bakery nearby afterwards. 6. Realizing that we stumbled into the food court anyways, it was fated that we were meant to proceed with placing an order for some chicken. 7. After a short wait for food to be prepared, I'd confirm that the fried chicken is solid, tater tots were good as well, and the mac salad was just okay.

Stopped by Johnny's Waikoloa and tried the honey garlic wings and the Good Ol Burger…read more The honey garlic wings were definitely the standout for me. Super crispy on the outside, fresh, flavorful, and coated perfectly without being overly messy. The order came with about 8-pieces and every wing came out hot and fresh with that sweet savory glaze that keeps you reaching for "just one more." Tiny flavor fireworks. The Good Ol Burger was exactly what you want from a classic burger. Nothing overcomplicated, just a juicy patty with all the fixings on a soft delicious bun. Simple comfort food done right. Waitress was quick and to the point . But no hard feelings. Overall, good food, fresh ingredients, and a chill Waikoloa vibe. Definitely worth stopping by if you're craving wings and burgers after a beach or Golf Day. Aloha!
