Brand new store. I've been to 2 different locations, one in Irvine and in Parkway Plaza. This store is by far my favorite. Clean, organized and tons of new merchandise. Came here on a weekday and there's hardly no one in the store so it's much nicer to shop. Love the selection of new items they carry i.e. Harry Potter, great selection. There was one employee in the store, who I believe can assist and can check you out. Depending on the items you are buying I think it's a fair price. Parking is also good.

Well Date of Visit : January 6 , 2025 and this Store is new to Clairemont and it is located next to 85 Degrees Bakery . It has lots of cool stuff here . Mostly stuffed animals and Hello Kitty plus lots of different types of toys . Kind of cool to see . It is pretty clean and the prices are decent but a bit high . I came here and they have Hot Wheels which Surprised me . But for one hot wheels it was 2.50 compared to other stores it is 1.20 double the price . But you can find some cool stuff here . Service is ok but could improve . I was walking around and only one person working . But finally a Miniso in San Diego !! Overall cool collectible store and I shall return and see what's new here !!

This Miniso has new management now and have very good and professional employees that are super kind and cooperative!

This Miniso has new management now and have very good and professional employees that are super kind and cooperative! The service was extremely good and they catered to our needs whenever asked, I highly recommend coming here now as the store is making a big improvement compared to before! Big thank you to George and Alexa for their exemplary assistance!

Not sure exactly when it opened but currently have some BOGO or 50% on select items. Miniso is basically a cute Japanese toy/stationary/accessory store (for any age). Everything was clean and stocked nicely. Although this is a smaller location compared to other minisos I've been too. Still a nice addition on Balboa Avenue.

    Store closed sign for lunch

Been trying to go to this Miniso two days in a row already. The hours say it closes at 9 so we came at 8PM. Lights were all off and doors were locked. Fine, the times must have been off. Tried coming again the next day but the doors are locked again and there's a sign saying "closed for lunch". Not a sign of a worker and we've been waiting for an hour. It seems the employees dictate when they do or do not open the store. Management is nowhere to be found. There's not even a sign on the door with the hours. I'm really disappointed as the store seems to have really good stuff. I guess I know why now as no one gets a chance to go into the store.

Closed at 8:29pm when it stated it closes at 9pm. When arrived, the door was locked while he was in the store cashing out other customers. The customers left, and the worker is just standing outside the establishment smoking his vape. After his smoke break, just returned back into the store and locked it behind him so we couldn't go in. Pretty weird, but seems like it's a regular occurrence.

    Scuff marks on both ears.

Very clean & neat. Felt comfy to shop in. Very small & cramped; was hard to navigate with my kids wheelchair.

CONVENIENT (4 stars)…read more Clairemont Town Square?! lol. It deserves a yelp review. It has all the basic necessities! Sure, it's just a plaza but a plaza with much potential. Perfect for a local neighborhood plaza with grocery store, banks, some simple shopping, few chain eateries, a boba shop, etc. I can invision this plaza glowing up in the next several years as the neighborhood becomes more appreciated in value thru the coming years. What I like the most were the two banks I use literally near/next to each other - convenient to make physical transfers. Basic shopping for food or to grab a bite to eat after simple errands. Call me old, but I appreciate the convenience of everything being close by and all in the same area. Until the next visit...

My number one reason for visiting is the Ace Hardware store!! We needed to change the locks on our front door so we came here. They had the kit available when everyone else was out of stock. We had visited Butcher and Cheese many times and were saddened they had closed its doors. There's a Burlington Coat Factory, Petco, Michael's, Von's grocery store, Bank of America, Five Below, and much more! Overall, a nice shopping center with many options!

I only have two malls i consistently go in San Diego, the Fashion Valley Mall and the UTC Mall…read more However, UTC mall is more of a leisure... to walk around and kill time, for my son to play at the playground, for the festivities on the holiday season especially Xmas, to have family fun dates and good food experiences at nearby restaurants and the mall I always go to every time I have issues with my Apple iPhone and techs. The fashion Valley Mall tho, is my main mall. This is the mall where I actually do most of my shopping. We watch movies at the AMC theater when we have extra time and get food at the cafeteria/food court area after hours of walking. My son never misses going inside the Laderach to get a free taste, the best chocolate there is. We love going to this mall, especially with my son now being a teenager, we would most likely be doing lots of our shopping activities here especially at his favorite boutiques, like the zumies, Hollister, Rayban, and plenty others I do not recall.... We also love going to The escape room where the mall is. My favorite is the Nordstrom Rack! ;) The holidays tho could get really packed and busy but there's alot of nice things to see and lots of good deals to look forward to.

Endless spots to park! That's a first! Are malls dead now? How are stores surviving? Anywhoo, I still spent more than planned. Damn you, Sephora! Pros: *Surprisingly easy parking (a rare mall miracle) *Huge mix of stores from bougie to budget - Louis Vuitton, Coach, Hollister, Macy's, Nordstrom's, Neiman Marcus, H&M, Zara, and Gucci to name a few *Open-air vibe with palm trees; very San Diego aesthetic with a tropical feel; complete with fountains and artistic landscaping *Solid food options with a food court, cafes, and kiosks, Cheesecake Factory, Seasons 52, and my fav, True Food Kitchen *Clean and well-maintained and easy to wander around *There's a lot of variety here to keep you entertained *They have seasonal events that is a nice addition to shopping Cons: *Felt oddly empty for a Sunday..kinda eerie but it may be an introvert paradise *Dangerous for your wallet (you will overspend) *Some stores seem like they're hanging on by a thread *Malls just don't hit like they used to despite the pros- mainly because everything has gone up! Shopping isn't as enjoyable when things cost an arm and a leg. Overall: 3.5 Stars - Still one of the nicer malls around if you're in the mood to stroll, shop, and accidentally blow your budget (Guilty!). Would I come back? Only if my bank account approves!

Apocalyptically awful parking lot!…read more This parking lot is a chaotic, soul-crushing labyrinth that may very well be the single worst design I've encountered in my 79 long, well-traveled years on this planet. Upon entering, you're handed a cheerful little ticket promising a free first hour--how generous! What they don't tell you is that you'll spend roughly two-thirds of that hour trapped in a slow-moving purgatory just trying to escape. You've got about 20 blissful minutes to enjoy yourself before trying to join the line of cars that moves slower than a sloth on melatonin. I genuinely cannot tell if the exit gates are malfunctioning, cursed, or if the drivers ahead of me were participating in some sort of cognitive endurance experiment. Multiple cars took a baffling 4-5 minutes each at the gate--an interaction that should take about 10 seconds unless you're attempting to solve a Rubik's cube while blindfolded. By the time I escaped, I had aged another decade. I will absolutely never return to this parking lot. Bring a helicopter. Hope this helps.
