My sister told me about this place and since I love Kawaii things, I thought I'd stop by. I also had my birthday blind box gift to pick up as well. There are a few of these stores in San Diego. I decided to come to this location based on the previous Yelp reviews noting they were under new management. It's located in a pretty busy shopping plaza, but parking didn't seem too bad that day. I have never been in a Miniso before, there were so many different things to check out. If you have a favorite character, you'll probably find something in this store to get. (keychains, cups, clothing, figurines, rugs, neck pillows, bento lunch boxes, snacks, blind boxes, pencil cases, stuffies, totes, headphones, the list could go on and on and on) I was very excited to pick out my birthday blind box! I went with My Melody, I was pleasantly surprised to get such a LARGE item, it's a pretty hefty one, it's not light cheap plastic. I was very excited since I did get the one that I was hoping for! (with the little bear) The cashier was attentive and answered our questions and checked us out very quickly. I definitely will be stopping by from time to time to see what they have in stock. This Miniso is huge compared to other store that I have been in. The isle so clean and spacious. The staff are all over the floor and stocking up. Staff also very friendly and helpful. I got quite a bit of blind boxes and cute canvas bags. Parking not a priblem. They were having a sale so I was lucky came that day. Good price for your wallet. read more

The employee was both stocking and manning the register. He did an amazing job on his own. Attentive to his customers the whole time. The store is smaller than others I've been to but they are well stocked here. A wider variety of things than I expected. Great addition to the area. Brand new store. I've been to 2 different locations, one in Irvine and in Parkway Plaza. This store is by far my favorite. Clean, organized and tons of new merchandise. Came here on a weekday and there's hardly no one in the store so it's much nicer to shop. Love the selection of new items they carry i.e. Harry Potter, great selection. There was one employee in the store, who I believe can assist and can check you out. Depending on the items you are buying I think it's a fair price. Parking is also good. read more

I'm a Miniso addict. Oopsy. I love it they have so many cute trinkets! Anything and everything and great for gifts. They always have a new collab out and I love that I can find Sanrio items there as there are no Sanrio stores here anymore. Some items are a bit pricey but they often have sale sections. read more

Well Date of Visit : January 6 , 2025 and this Store is new to Clairemont and it is located next to 85 Degrees Bakery . It has lots of cool stuff here . Mostly stuffed animals and Hello Kitty plus lots of different types of toys . Kind of cool to see . It is pretty clean and the prices are decent but a bit high . I came here and they have Hot Wheels which Surprised me . But for one hot wheels it was 2.50 compared to other stores it is 1.20 double the price . But you can find some cool stuff here . Service is ok but could improve . I was walking around and only one person working . But finally a Miniso in San Diego !! Overall cool collectible store and I shall return and see what's new here !! read more

I've been to this location twice and both times were fine, I was able to buy what I wanted and leave. The third time I witnessed a female and male employee go on break, sit down, eat their food during their break near the store outside so I assumed after they would re-open the store for business. I've seen multiple people try to open the locked doors but the employees just stared as many people attempted to open the store and leave. They also were nowhere to be found after I witnessed them go back inside after their break, which their break seemed to be past 30 minutes already. This was around 5 to 6:30pm; the stores hours should still be open to customers til' their 'closing' hour, if the store even really closes at said time. I even tried to knock to see if they'd open but again, no answer, so I feel the employees clocked out and went through the back to exit the store. I'd suggest the management to hire better or more employees to tend to the store because they honestly have a great variety of merchandise from blind boxes to beauty stuff and I witnessed a lot of potential sales lost. This location also needs to provide a business phone number for customer service, questions, or concerns as I see this issue has happened another time with a previous customer. And a hours of operation sign that actually stands true to the time the store closes v.s. whenever the employees just want to close the store early and leave. Please do better. read more

The manager was very unprofessional. I wanted to return a blind box figure that was defected. Per the receipt, returns are accepted within 7 days of purchase and must be completed at the same store the item was purchased. Due to the defect being "minor", a refund was not granted nor an exchange offered. For a $30 item I'd expect more from their customer service. I'll drive an extra half an hour to another Miniso to avoid this store. read more

The service was extremely good and they catered to our needs whenever asked, I highly recommend coming here now as the store is making a big improvement compared to before! It seems their business hours are nearly suggestions for their employees. I've visited this store on three different occasions. During our first visit, my son and I arrived before closing hours and their doors were locked. I knocked and the person indicated he had already closed down the registers. Our last visit was just two days ago. They were supposed to be open by 9:00am and we arrived after 10:30am and their doors were locked and no one was around. We waited around for a few minutes and noticed other potential customers attempting to visit the store. I'd also like to point out that they do not have a business phone number listed so there's no way to contact the store nor customer service. The one star is because once you do have the opportunity to visit their store, there is a large selection of items with varying price ranges. The inconsistency in their business hours is a pain point and it's very frustrating. They are driving customers away. read more

Been trying to go to this Miniso two days in a row already. The hours say it closes at 9 so we came at 8PM. Lights were all off and doors were locked. Fine, the times must have been off. Tried coming again the next day but the doors are locked again and there's a sign saying "closed for lunch". Not a sign of a worker and we've been waiting for an hour. It seems the employees dictate when they do or do not open the store. Management is nowhere to be found. There's not even a sign on the door with the hours. I'm really disappointed as the store seems to have really good stuff. I guess I know why now as no one gets a chance to go into the store. read more

I'm from Canada and was visiting a friend when I decided to stop by this store to pick up some cute souvenirs. My sister is a HUGE Sanrio fan, so I grabbed a few blind boxes to surprise her when I got home. Biggest mistake. I was beyond embarrassed when she opened them in front of our family -- the "sealed" blind boxes had already been opened and clearly tampered with. The surprise bag was ripped, the collector's card was bent, and the figures inside were scratched like someone had already played with them. USED. I literally gave my sister used toys as a gift. Do you understand how humiliating that is? This is a disgraceful lack of quality control. How can you, as a store, sell clearly damaged and previously opened products like that -- especially when you're charging full price? Either your staff is careless, or you're knowingly scamming tourists who can't come back to return anything. I'm back in Canada now and completely out of luck. So thanks for the trash. I've never been this disappointed or disgusted with a shop. If you value your money -- or your dignity -- do not shop here. You'd be better off buying souvenirs from a vending machine. Attempted to visit at 8 PM. An employee at the register watched us try to open the door but only signaled they were closed without getting up. Mind you, this was an hour before they were supposed to be closed. I've been here a few times before and think they should reevaluate some of the staff they have. A lot of customers/ reviews are stating the same thing: this location isn't operating during the posted business hours. Corporate surely sees the reviews but doesn't care. It seems the employees open and close the store when they want but are clocking in and out when they are at their house so their employer can't tell?? As we were driving by we saw it and decided to go here. I was looking for certain Lego building stuff but they didn't have it there.

Closed at 8:29pm when it stated it closes at 9pm. When arrived, the door was locked while he was in the store cashing out other customers. The customers left, and the worker is just standing outside the establishment smoking his vape. After his smoke break, just returned back into the store and locked it behind him so we couldn't go in. Really unfortunate experience at this Miniso. I was super excited to add another figure to my collection and to also find a new store to use as my main source for blind boxes. But when I opened the box, the pieces were chipped and ruined. The bottom of the ballons wouldn't even fit in the figure part and were the wrong color on top of that. I went back to show them the defective product (minutes after I bought it) and the front desk worker was quick to check with the manager to see if they could do a refund or exchange. I was fine with either. But when she came back she told me the manager denied the refund. I asked her why and she said that "they have been getting too many refunds as of late". I'm not sure how that is my problem? Maybe your products are clearly defected, but regardless I should have been given a refund especially since I paid nearly $20 for this. It doesn't work, it's broken, chipped, and I can't even use it to stand on my desk. I'm really disappointed in their service. Just know that if you shop here and possibly have any issues with a blind box, you most likely won't be given any help from them. You're better off getting your blind boxes somewhere else. 1 star just for the sweet lady that worked up front. She was also annoyed for me that the manger wasn't willing to help. I know how working in customer service can be so thank you for listening to me and being kind. Shame on the manager for not caring about customer retention though. read more

I have never be in a store that have bad bustiness hour like this. The employee claim they are going to eat lunch at 05:30?! So confusing. The selection in the store is huge and I like the option. But being rushed out was a terrible shopping experience. Never seen this at any other stores especially in this similar style (e.g. Tokyo center, daiso, even miniso in the Escondido Westfield Mall). Highly suggest either they staff up more if that's the problem. Otherwise be more explicit with their shopping hour so customer knows when to not come if their staffs are going to take a break. For a new business, would think it is important the customer experience. Definitely wasn't a good being rushed out. I would have bought more stuff from them if there was more time read more

Came here on a Sunday to check out the store but they were not open even though their business hours on Google states that they are supposed to be open. Looking at a review on Google, it seems like this isn't the first time they were closed when they were supposed to be open and there is no sign on the wall explaining why they are closed.
