This Miniso in Times Square is so big! So many Miniso and Asian pop up stores all over the city these days. Miniso is a fast growing chain store. There are so many things to look at and many cute stuffed animals, stationary, blind boxes, cosmetics, and many more cute things to get from here. I love how they got Miffy stuffed animals and key chains! The head is so cute that I had to buy the whole family of Miffy dolls! So cute! They got Miffy blind boxes too! I was shocked that they carry Squid Game key chains. There were several key chains of Young-hee, pink soldiers, black soldiers, and the Front Man for sale. They were so cute so I grabbed a pink soldier. The bad thing about the key chain plush is that it is not symmetrical and they are mostly slanted and not puffed evenly throughout the whole plush. When it came time to pay, I got to use my online account to accumulate points for a discount on next purchase. First off, I wanted almost everything in the shop. Well, except the Harry Potter stuff-I'm not a JK Rowling fan. EVERYTHING WAS SO CUTE! I ended up buying Tsum Tsum face masks (the beauty kind) for myself, my nephew, and sister-in-law. I got a Nightmare Before Christmas blind box and a Kuromi blind box even though they were pricey ($17.99 and $24.99, respectively). I also picked up some Pusheen, Disney, and Pez products as gifts for friends and family. I would have bought more, but a lot of stuff didn't have prices on or near them. I wanted to buy all the Powerpuff Girls merchandise (for myself) and Snoopy (for my nephew), but again, no prices listed anywhere. I didn't want to bring a bunch of stuff to the cashier and do price checks. I found myself missing the old Sanrio store where everything has the price built into the sales tag. In addition to having a smorgasbord of kawaii products, they have a good selection of snacks and beverages, but most can be found at H Mart for lower prices. Store entrance is handicapped accessible and was propped open, so it was easy to enter with my wheelchair. I also fit perfectly in the aisles. I did visit first thing in the morning, so I didn't have any issues getting around. The cashier was the only employee who interacted with us. She was friendly and professional. read more

Big Miniso in Times Square for the tourists, prices aren't above the other store at the mall, so random cheap, cute toys made in China that mimic the "Japan" cute theme. Guess that'll be more expensive when tariffs hit? They have a small popup further north of here. They don't have fragrances like other Miniso's I've been to. A very long line to check out, though there's a credit card kiosk off to the side that's faster and shorter line. Staffer in the store was just scrolling on his phone when I walked by twice looking for things. Lots of little statues for different anime, though, and not a bad selection of gummy and snack foods. read more

I first learned about this store from my Los Angeles friends. Many years later, Miniso arrived in Hawaii! Not all Miniso shops are the same. For example, the Miniso in China had lower prices! ...and the Miniso in Las Vegas had Brown and Cony items! Who knew! Anyway, this New York location had Miffy - she's the white rabbit from Amsterdam! This Miniso store is located on W 42nd St & 7th Ave in New York, NY and is the first U.S. flagship store that opened in May 2023. Out of all the Miniso stores I've visited, this is by far the largest I've been to. The store is very organized and there are dedicated zones that include licensed collections from brands such as Sanrio, Disney, and Pokemon; blind box collectibles; toys; plushies; fragrances; accessories; makeup tools; snacks; electronic; gifts; and stationery. I enjoyed walking around the store and looking around. I purchased a cute capybara keychain for $7.99 and a Miffy and Bear plushie for $18.99. If you are in the area, I definitely recommend coming in and checking Miniso out. read more

Store manager refused to refund or exchange a blind Box item bought only one day prior that was unopened, in perfect condition with a purchase receipt. When asked where on the receipt says that she was not able to point it out but she did refer to a paper they put in store, near one of the cashiers (not all) barely visible. Change your Policy on the receipt and make it visible to customers if that IS the actual policy that there should be no refunds on returns even when items are in the " original selling condition, packaging, tags, and labels with original purchase receipt." It's in poor taste and deceiving. It was a Christmas gift intended for a teen, I thought I had the right character but did not and wanted to get her the correct character instead and this is most likely the last time I spend my money in a Miniso. read more

This is probably the biggest and most spacious Miniso location ever in NYC. Has a huge and various selection of toys, blind boxes, stationary, drink ware (tumblers, water bottles, glass mugs, thermos, etc), household items, daily life products, snacks and drinks, headphones, keyboards, plushies, umbrellas, nail polish, makeup, skincare, fragrance, scent diffusers, tote bags, utensils, plates and bowls, power banks, lamps, fans, spa headbands and so on. I think it's a great place to pick gifts for your friends, family, co-workers, acquaintances, and significant others since there're lots of variety of things to choose. Price range varies from cheap to moderate to expensive, all depending on how well you know your prices compared to other brands and retailer stores. Sometimes, they even have sales. I just love going to Miniso to try on different shades of nail polish, squeezing and feeling how soft the plushies are, and buying blind boxes especially the We Bare Bears and Toy Story series. Great place to spend some time just to look around (window shopping). Fast service from friendly staff. Accepts cash and credit/debit card at the cashiers; while accepting credit/debit card + Apple Pay by the self checkout booths/machines. This was the largest Miniso I've visited and I really loved how they partnered with Sanrio. I am a huge Hello Kitty fan, and I was impressed with the very large collection of Hello Kitty items! They have plushies, cosmetics, toiletries, snacks, storage containers, and many more! I had to use a lot of self-restraints to refrain from buying everything Hello Kitty in the store. My 9 year old loves this store. We left with a few plushies, bath and beauty items, snacks and drinks. They had a DJ inside playing great music and engaging with customers. The store has toys, plushies, toiletries, snacks, drinks, hair, makeup and tons of stuff to decorate and organize a kids room and maybe adults too. Cute store in the heart of Times Square where all the tourists visit and a whole lot of food traffic. Recently opened in May and came here opening weekend. They have all the cutest stuff from stuffed plushed animals, accessories, toys, bags, aroma diffusers (Lily of the Valley smelled good, which I purchased one). As you walk in there's a cute huge penguin to take picture of or with. Even though it does get fairly packed, check out is easy. Either online or self checkout with staff there to assist. This is their third location in NYC (their other locations are in Soho and Flushing) and probably the biggest one out of the three. Since they only opened up about 2 weeks ago, they have a lot of items in stock (for now). I picked up a pair of the cinnamoroll slippers that were sold out at their other locations. They have a wide selection of Sanrio items in stock in addition to other things like snacks, plushies, sunglasses, aroma diffusers, blind boxes etc. Basically a little bit of everything you might need. The New Minso store is their flagship right in the middle of Times Square, on 42nd St. The place is vast and big and jam pack with items from toys, plushies, stationery, games, electronics, and more. I am sure the place will be a hit with tourists who don't have these Japanese, or Chinese stores where they come from. Nice cool store with a lot of Sanrio items. Everything is on the expensive side. I got a Sanrio sandal for $16.99 and they charge me sales. When I asked the cashier why I was charged sales tax on a shoe item, she said they charge sales tax in New York and not in New Jersey. I did want to argue with her over a few dollars but was extremely disappointed. Hopefully they fix this situation in the future. read more

I passed by this cute store a couple of times as I was in times Square for Broadway shows. My friend who came with me for this one visit is a huge fan of hello kitty items, so she was thrilled. I finally went inside with her, and she got tons of things. I know there's other chains, but this specific location I heard is bigger and is more organized. Avoid this location and maybe this whole chain at all costs! The customer service is completely non-existent. I went to the Times Square location in May 2025 and the young cashier girl who was more concerned with the cold coming in from the wide open doors ended up double charging me for one of my items. I live deep in Brooklyn and as a true New Yorker...I don't go to the Times Square area too often, so when I finally was able to return to the store...it was just under a month and the store did nothing for me even though I spent appx $73 that day. The receipt has no address or phone number to contact anyone and an email sent to customer service went unanswered. I checked spam too and nothing was there. The young salesman on the second visit said he was the manager and reportedly called the general manager and later explained to me that they are a foreign based company (I think China) and have no other way to contact them other than the email that didn't work for me. I love the Miniso at Montgomery Mall, but mannnnn! This location is HUGE!!. In the heart of Time Sq. The service is great! The have a lot cute squishy stuffed animals. Snacks galore! If you love unusual snacks get em. A little pricy. Some you can find at your local Asian Market. You'll see a cool DJ playing some KPOP or some EDM. I love their wall flower diffusers. This store is packed - it has a massive plushie/ keychain collection here. For locals - this is not the miniso for you. There are way too many people. I'm impressed with how organized and clean they were able to maintain it. The register moved fast too but it is just so crowded. The snack, candy, and makeup selection is very small here. The make-up was not very trustworthy. Some open, missing products, etc. I do love miniso in general so this was fun for me to stop by and see what they have. We got a good amount of freebies too. I purchased a Hello Kitty x Crème matcha sheet mask that I was really looking forward to. However, It came completely empty. The package wasn't opened and yet I received nothing. Came to this store with my two kids and bought a cute mug set, cashier did not let me know bags costed 30cents and just charged me for it. I asked why she did that and she lied saying I wanted a bag which I didn't say at all. Asked to speak to manager and she claims she can not refund bags...it's a cheap paper bag. Without even another minute the big security guard steps to me and immediately starts to intimidate me. Trying to get me outside while I'm with my two young children like he wants to fight. Kept saying I'm the man! I'm the man. I try to be calm and reasonable and try to let him know that I'm not trying to be disrespectful but he's getting in my face saying "I work here what I say goes" and kicks us out of the store. Went for the Tiktok hype... It was okay. The selection of items was pretty wide, it looked a lot bigger in videos I've seen. Cute if you love Sanrio stuff. Customer service is a little hit or miss. I'd recommend coming into the store "maybe???" with your own shopping bag if you're going to buy a lot of items, or items that are bulky because there seems to be an issue with them never having any shopping bags available (possibly from an LP standpoint) but don't be dumb like me and pay the extra 50 cent just to not get one (because there are no signs, the workers won't tell you, and the kiosk will still allow you to purchase the bags even if they don't have them). Also keep your receipt on hand because you will be stopped and accused of possibly theft by a security guard like at Costco at both ends of the doors if you don't have it on you. (Again good from an LP standpoint so I can't fault them too much for that). Overall experience for a Tiktok crazed store: It's a little overhyped. Cute if you want Sanrio stuff available to you without having to go online, but not worth a trip into Time Square just to see a bigger location. read more

My girlfriend wanted to come here because she saw a lot of TikTok videos of cute stationary, household items, and etc... of Sanrio characters. First of all, I walked in there and there is a security guard who not only doesn't smile, but doesn't even say hello or any type of welcoming greeting which made me automatically uncomfortable. Immediately I noticed the store was packed which isn't a bad thing, but it was when I went today. The reason why it was bad is because there was not one manager or staff to ask me if I need any help (which I did) and it made my time there cut shorter than intended. I had to go out of my way to walk across the store to ask one of the staff workers if there are more stickers of the Cinnamoroll character. Once I asked him he said "yes we have more stickers" and just guided me to the sticker isle where I was just 2 minutes ago picking out the Cinnamoroll stickers I already had. After he guided me there, not even 2 seconds passed by and he disappeared back to the other side of the store. I made my question very clear, "Do you have any more stickers of the character Cinnamoroll?", and instead of saying "sorry those are the only stickers we have of that character", he walks me back to where I was and disappears before I can even tell him I was already here. I think that the service of this store is absolutely horrific. Maybe it isn't like that in the other locations of this company. But all I know is that this specific store was a horrible experience for me, my girlfriend, and my future mother-in-law. Also, as we were walking out of the store, the security guard was eyeing our bags that we brought in with us, and gave us a dirty look as if we stole something from them. Today was my girlfriends birthday and let me tell you, she did not only leave there with nothing, but she left there with disappointment from the treatment and quality of the store and staff. PS: If you see something you like, just know that they are probably only for display and most likely sold out. There were little post it notes on every display with horrible handwriting saying the items are sold out and will be coming soon. Not even a well designed poster or printed slip, a god damn post-it note. PPS: Everything in there is way too overpriced for cheap plastic toys that fall apart and break in your hands like dry paint on a wall. If you were to ever buy something from there I advice you to let your bank know that you are just shopping at a store and not buying a house, because that's how much you'll be spending on useless, cheap, plastic, breakable items in that store. PPPS: I also bought one of their canned bubble tea drinks and it was not as pleasant as the other canned bubble tea drinks I have had in the past. I immediately opened the can and i took a sip.
