9 years ago we bought my husband's wedding band from Michael. The wedding band over the years has weathered all sorts of conditions and the single diamond has never been dislodged. Today, we stopped by to get his wedding band cleaned and polished and Michael helped us. Did a great job that it looks like new! Even can see my husband's reflection on the ring if you look closely at the photo. If you're looking for jewelry, definitely consider this place which has longevity and great service. read more

I had some 18K yellow gold earrings (studs) re-set into 18K white gold, bezzle set. Good job, reasonable price.

I would not go back to this place such a rip off my whole family know them since they were in downtown always brought business to them . If you brought a diamond from them and they say they take it back trust me they will not take it back for what it worth . I rather go to New York there price is reasonable and they gave me back my money for what my diamond was worth when I brought my diamond . Would never recommend this place to anyone ... read more

Went in to get some jewelry polished and it came out looking BRAND NEWWW !! Micheal was super helpful and nice. For sure will be back !

Fixed my jewelry for a good price. They even fixed sterling silver jewelry which some places wouldn't.

They give excellent and fast service. Polite and professional. Good parking. Elegant shop. Well lit. They have security at the entrance. Knowledge about higher end products. Overall, highly recommended. read more

Mike was very generous and was a great help with resizing my watch

Nothing to comment about their jewelry aspect, but watch repair service was horrible. Went to get my watch's glass glued back on, because it had worn off through years of sitting in an attic. (Hot Houston weather) There was some black glue residue leftover, but the person who serviced it didn't even bother to clean it up before reapplying the glue and sealing the watch so basically the little diamonds for the hours was covered by the glue smudges.. Poor quality work, ruined an expensive and antique watch. When complained about it, it took a bit of arguing to get them to even want to refund the money... However, we didn't take the refund, it was just the principle of their service. Wouldn't recommend to anyone to get their watch fixed seeing that their work was so sloppy for something so minuscule and an easy task. On top of that, within a week... the glue did not stay either. read more

The jewelers at Minh Tri are very professional, patient, and nice. They take the time to answer my questions and they offer great ideas! I stopped by the store because I was looking for a match for my sole pearl earring that I got as a graduation gift a few years back. They said that finding a match will be difficult, and suggested that I turn my earring into a pendant. I decided they were right, and got the pendant made. I've received many compliments on my pendant, but will be on the search for another pair of earrings similar to the ones I lost. When you go to a Vietnamese jeweler, you can negotiate prices and trade-in gold. I switched out a pair of stud earrings that I got at a different Vietnamese jeweler with a beautiful pair that I love!! Minh Tri also helped fix my necklace clasp too for a reasonable price. In general, I love Vietnamese designed jewelry because they are dainty for their fine handiwork, tasteful, and pretty. =) read more

I really mulled over whether I should write this review but decided to Bc I'm shopping for another setting. We bought my engagement ring and wedding band here. My wedding band is Jeff Cooper which I still love and am happy with. It is 18k white gold. The gold hasn't faded and no regrets here. Service was very good at the first visit. It was down hill after that. My engagement ring setting was a different story. I selected a "designer setting" with some modifications. I didn't know making modifications would no longer make it a designer ring. In this case, it did. I feel deceived by this. The designer ring I selected turned into being Minh Tri's in house design. This is still okay too. But the thing is, the craftsmanship of the ring was horrible. I've lost the small diamonds in the prongs twice already and both times it was set in, the jeweler did a horrendous job. The owner or one of the brothers was rude and seemed annoyed that I was back having it fixed again. The last straw is now my ring is turning yellow. I know this is an easy fix but am not taking it back Bc I don't feel like being treated the way we did the last few times we had issues with my ring. Buyer beware and would definitely not recommend. read more

I needed a small clasp on an old gold bracelet and Michael ( the owner's son) had a new one attached plus made it look like new! It was given to me by a family member so it was worn down. I had dropped by other Bellaire Jewelry Repair Stores earlier ( because a friend recommended them) but felt that they all were all upcharging me! I have gone to Michael for other precious jewelry repairs so I trust him and know he is not going to RIP me off! Thank God. He charged me a nominal fee and his shop's work is always perfect! read more

I had a great experience at Minh Tri and with Mark in particular. I was referred by a friend that had proposed to his fiancee a couple months earlier and they were both happy with her ring. Mark was very professional, warm, and not at all pushy. He makes you feel comfortable and at ease, which is important when you are about to spend quite a bit of money on anything, much less an engagement ring that you want to be perfect. Mark patiently walked me through my options once I explained the design elements that I was looking for and helped me come up with a great design that my fiancee adores, it's been a week since I proposed and we both can't stop looking at it! I would highly recommend Minh Tri for your engagement ring shopping, Mark is a great guide and Minh Tri has more than enough options to satisfy whatever you are looking for. read more

Had a great experience here. I worked with Michael on putting together an engagement my ring. He brought me some great selections and I ended up choosing an original piece from their store. It was a little pricey but he knocked off some change AND accepted my trade in with no questions asked. He even did a resizing at no cost when I found out I was wrong on her size initially. So check this place out to at least see some unique and one a kind pieces. Thanks again Michael she is very very happy! read more

Worked with Michael to pick out an engagement ring. He was very patient and worked with me starting from the diamond I wanted to the different setting options available. The diamond itself was very competitively priced compared to online prices and much cheaper than the big name stores. The ring took about a week to be completed and I couldn't be more amazed at how beautiful it was. I definitely recommend these guys! read more

If you do not know anything about buying diamonds, then you have to take the time and educate yourself. You go to a large chain jeweler in the mall and oftentimes your not getting the value for your money and your also getting high pressure sales tactics. The owners of Minh Tri, brothers Mark and Michael treat you like family and do not pressure you into any sale. Instead of trying to score a sale off of a single customer these gentleman offer you value for your money and rely on repeat business from their customers. However, you do go get what you pay for. If you want low-end to junk jewelry this is probably not your store. They carry high quality jewelry, precious stones to include but not limited to diamonds, Swiss watches and have a jewelry cleaning and repair shop on-site. In August 2002, I married my wife. The day before we were married we went to pick up the diamond ring that we had selected from a local Houston jeweler and were set to fly out of town for our wedding. When the ring was handed to me I could see a very large inclusion on the diamond without even holding it close to my eye. It obviously was not the diamond we had selected. I took my wife by the hand and we headed for the door. Needless to say when we were married my wife did not have a ring! It really hurt me that this had happened! Subsequent to our wedding I spent six-months looking for a diamond ring for her, visiting at least two dozen or more jewelry stores, no exaggeration. I had a lot of anxiety because of my previous experience. Ultimately we purchased her ring from Minh Tri, I still remember like it was yesterday getting into our car, it was a bright sunny day here in Houston. Seeing the way the light reflected off her diamond and the way it was casting shadows inside our car. The best experience was seeing her smile! Finally all my shame and stress was gone and the hard work looking for the right ring had paid off. To make a long story short we will be married 10 years this August, We have a 3 year-old son now and my mother-in-law takes excellent care of our son. I am going to Minh Tri this week and I am buying my mother-in-law a diamond ring because of the love and care she shows our son everyday. When you buy from Minh Tri, you are not just buying quality jewelry you are buying family heirlooms that will be passed down from generation to generation. I recommend this jeweler to everyone I know. These people are professional, courteous and treat you like family. . read more

They had integrity back then but not anymore. When I bought something from Minh Tri, they were really sweet, but when I went there to sell something, they were really rude to me. They're not an honest company, they're only charming and charismatic when they benefit something from the customer. Be careful when buying from this store. I hope they go back to their old ways of integrity because they're losing customers fast. read more

Came here with my fiancé and my mom to look for wedding bands. Mark made really good suggestions with what we are looking for! We enjoyed talking to him! Got a great deal! And the best of all is we left very happy! I will recommend this place to my friends and other family just like I was referred to him by my 2 family members. Thank you mark! read more

Minh Tri Jewelry is an excellent place to shop and buy an engagement ring. I talked to Mark, who was very helpful in educating me on diamonds and jewelery, helped me make setting choices, and helping me select the best quality diamond in my price range. Trust is important, and I felt comfortable allowing mark to suggest diamonds, verify their quality, and create a ring. I ended up with a very nice 1 carat diamond which was grades above what other shops where offering me for the same price. I ended up with a beautiful engagement ring that my fiance loved. I would recommend them to anyone, especially Mark. I will be buying my jewelery from them in the future. Thanks Mark! read more

We had a recommendation to go here and from the very first visit we do not go anywhere else. We come all the way from Louisiana to get service here. Micheal ALWAYS take care of us. We found our perfect engagement ring after searching forever for it and it was bc of Micheal at Minh Tri. My wife jokes saying she only said yes bc of the ring. She absolutely loves it and how she always get taken care of when she comes for free lifetime cleanings. They are professional and courteous. Going to come back for all my future purchases. read more

We took a couple rings in to get sized and were treated as well as if we were spending thousands of dollars. Mark was friendly, knowledgeable, and not pushy. One of the rings is my husband's great-grandmother's, so it was especially important that the work be perfect. It was. I know where I will be shopping the next time I'm in the market for quality jewelry! read more

I was there yesterday to get a Diamond ring for myself, but all the guys there was not nice at all they looked at me like I can't afford to buy anything from the store.they only look at the people who have the big Diamond hanging on the body. They not even want to talk with me at all.i don't want to go there ever, they treat you like sh...^t. read more

I was shopping for an engagement ring and had been to 4 other jewelry stores before finally visiting Minh Tri. The quality of the jewelry is excellent and the staff here are very helpful and will help you get the best ring that meets your budget. When a stone came loose from the ring a few weeks after, it was replaced, no questions asked. When we came in to upgrade our ring, Michael was very helpful and did his best to make us happy. He saved our marriage! Customer service seems to be their main concern and it shows! read more

Mark customized a new wedding ring set for me. The outcome far exceeded my expectations. The ring took about 1 month to complete (during holiday season) but was well worth the wait. He spent the time locating the best quality diamond for my budget range. Minh Tri is my ONLY recommendation as a jeweler. They are very honest, informative, trustworthy, and professional. There is no need to haggle prices as he will provide the best prices for the best diamonds. read more

They helped my find the best possible price on a diamond engagement ring. A ring of that quality and size is something I never thought I could afford, but the guys over at Minh Trí, especially Mark, made it all possible. If we could rate Minh Tri and Mark 10 stars we would! We spent months looking at engagement rings and meeting with different jewelers in the city. After feeling defeated and worn out a dear friend of mine suggested we visit Mark at Minh Tri. Walking in we were surrounded by a clean, organized and inviting store. Mark spent over an hour giving us diamond 101 and listened to our expectations. We noticed other jewelers quickly jumped the gun and wanted to force a certain diamond or setting. You won't experience that with Minh Tri. Mark was so patient and even made my ever so nervous fiance comfortable. He offers his professional opinion but also guides you in the direction you truly want. NOTHING in the Houston area compares to Minh Tri. We will NEVER purchase jewelry elsewhere. BTW he made us the most beautiful engagement ring. I get compliments daily and spend hours just dazing in awe. I promise, Mark will not disappoint!!!! Whether you are looking for something simple and elegant or looking to make a statement...they have you covered! read more

We have been working with Mark at Minh Tri Jewelry for over eleven years. We were referred to him through our friends. In that time span, we've designed 4 custom rings including my bridal engagement ring set. Mark was very friendly and patient to work with. The diamond settings and custom designs offered are beautiful with many styles to choose from. We also referred our family and friends to Mark for their engagement rings as well. Mark also helped us reset some old diamond earrings and they came back much more sparkly. He also sold us a watch and refinished an old Omega Constellation for us. Overall we enjoyed working with Mark very much and will definitely come back. read more

Great experience. The worker Mark was very friendly and helpful. This was the only place I could find that would sell 18k white gold. I bought a diamond and sapphire ring from them at the price of $2000 dollars. They gave me spectacular service and called me when it was ready. Really good for any jewelry needs, and they also sell Rolex watches. I will definetly come back here in the future. read more

Initially found out about Minh Tri as I was looking for an authorized retailer for omega watches in Houston. They have a nice selection of fine luxury pens and ended up picking one up for my boss as a present. Mark was extremely professional and knowledgeable, and helped me arrive at my selection without being pushy or aggressive. The staff was very patient with me despite a crying baby and me wanting to look at many different pens. The price was also better than the boutique. Ended up going back to pick up another pen. Would recommend. read more
