First and foremost, after I left a review on Google the owner CALLED ME. So, there's that. Second, the three items I ordered should have came out to $15.37 after taxes based on the website they have linked to their Google Profile! Sesame Chicken Lunch Combination: $6.95 Half Order of the Crab Macau $3.30 1 pt. of Chicken Fried Rice $4.25 plus 6% sales tax you get $15.37. He told me almost $24, which is obviously nearly $10 more than their website says. Multiple reviews have said they've experienced this so it's not an isolated incident. Also, replying rudely to the reviews online isn't appropriate. Apologize and move on, or don't respond. It will do your business good in the long run! I ended up getting a box from asian buffet with way more food for $17! read more

I don't understand the negative reviews. Our family likes the Chinese food from here. We have ordered from here for years and never had a negative experience. I only see the one guy there doing everything. Very strict on not going inside, but I don't mind not getting out of my car and having it brought to me. Food is good and so is the price! read more

I might be crazy, but this is the best Chinese takeout in TC imo. I've been going for years (ever since I was a kid) and they just don't miss. I'm on a constant rotation between the almond boneless chicken (did you know that's a Michigan only dish??? I didn't!!), chicken w/ mixed vegetables, beef w/ mixed vegetables, or the sweet & sour chicken. The hot and sour soup / egg drop soup is solid, but their egg rolls are perfect. It's all quick and easy and delicious takeout, what more could you want? The service is prompt (so quick!! your order will be ready in 15 at 5pm) and all done by a local family. All these negative reviews are super bizarre to me. None of that has ever matched my experience w/ Ming's Garden. read more

Awful. I ordered mine with shrimp and my whole plate smelled like hot garbage. It was so pungent we couldn't obviously eat it or the the other food we ordered there. The crab ragoons were tough to chew. I'm just waiting on the moment when I get sick from a few bites. Ugh. read more

Uh, no!!! Ordered Hong Kong chow mein and side fried rice. Both were some of the worst Chinese food I have had. Chow Mein had no sauce and is put in container atop the noodles, some of which was dry and not from stir frying. Very little meat and vegetables. All other preparations of this dish come in containers with sauce and noodles separate. Really Bad. Fried Rice was even worse. It had an odd chemical taste to it and no flavor. Sorry, Ming! Unacceptable. Bland and unpalatable dishes that steal the names of better fare elsewhere. That is to say, you can claim it's Mongolian Beef, but I've had Mongolian Beef before and this ain't it. Made with only the cheapest of ingredients that taste like they've been in the fridge too long, the food at Ming's Garden is unsettling at best. Even the bottles of pop in their dining area fridge feel dusty and untouched in what is longer than likely desirable. Even the staff is terse and cold, almost as if it is an offense or a bother that you've come in to place an order. Do them a favor - don't do it. Ming's has been around for a decent amount of time in the TC area. This is the place I would always order take-out. Staples like sesame chicken, general chicken, fried rice, crab rangoon, and egg rolls are on par. We ordered what we thought would be good for four people for about $45. We had a ton of left overs. The parents enjoyed it and I had a fully belly. Win win. The fried rice was a little bland but the rest of the dishes passed. They have been consistent throughout the years in my experience. Truly awful. Dinner for two was thirty two bucks, had my wife taste the fried rice with her eyes closed and she was certain it was poorly cooked white rice. Absolutely no flavor. General Tsao's chicken tasted of burned gordon foods orange jelly with hard as a rock dry flavorless gordon foods chicken breast with overcooked brocolli. Schezuan beef tasted like grocery store brown gravy with gristly meager portion of beef. I've eaten here occasionally over the last 25 years, my usual place on the east side of town was closed. Am from Asia traveling to this town. Surprise to see a reasonably authentic Chinese food. House Special Chow Mien is close to our familiar Cantonese hometown taste. Chicken noodle soup is not as salty as other Chinese food we tried in this town. Beef and vegetable is decent portion. Overall a good value for money choice. We ordered the Mongolian Beef and the Sesame Chicken. The beef was bland and really chewy. The sauce for the sesame chicken is just sweet - no other flavor to it. The chicken itself seemed reconstituted, very chewy as well. On top of that, the service is very cold. Hoping to find a spot to get a taste of quick Chinese take out I stopped in Mings for the first time. The counter is close to door or I probably would have looked around before ordering and decided my choice wasn't such a good one. Two tables for seating and eating your food served only in take out containers and a couple chairs by the door for waiting. The floor was nasty and the rugs even worse. Grunge was on all chair and table legs, very evident dirty mop tracks on counter base and walls. You can only see the sink area in the kitchen and colanders were stacked on the shelf next to dirty wall where floor squeegees , brooms and mops hung. The ceiling in front was in need of cleaning as there was black-like soot on many of the tiles. No public restroom but there was a container of hand sanitizer on the counter. The table where pea pods were being prepared for cooking was not in the kitchen but directly behind the cashier counter. I can't tell you what the food tasted like. It didn't make it home and went in the nearest trash. Not seeing in the kitchen I questioned the quality of the food just by what I did see. No excuse for dirty!! read more

Ordered normal dinners... orange chicken etc. and a couple of sides. They didn't give us any soy sauce and the amount of rice was pitiful! Not even enough to fill half a coffee cup. (White rice is cheap to make last time I checked!) Also the chicken was tough as leather and riddled with grisle! I called and asked about these issues and the guy started raising his voice and asked me how much rice I'd like! "At least enough to feed a hamster" I replied. He then started yelling at me. We have ordered from Mings for years and has been a decent experience until a few days ago. We picked up our food of which we waited to be prepared, drove the 5 minutes home only to find everything cold (not room temperature, cold). We rang them to let them know that maybe there was something wrong with the stove but that we were disappointed and the lady yelled and said it was because it was cold outside and we put it in our car and on the trip home it got cold. How else were we meant to get it home but by putting it in our car lol. We will not be giving them our business again. read more
