Use to LOVE this place. Unfortunately it seems the quality has went down and the price has went up. The price seems as if it has DOUBLED recently. The food isn't always the freshest anymore. I do love the sushi options though which is the main reason for the 4 star review instead of a 3 star review. I also appreciate the service. Every time I visit this buffet with my friends, the food is always delicious, and the staff is very friendly.

DO NOT EAT HERE !!! this place the waitress was nice to my face but talked bad about me behind my back when I told her the fried cheese puffs were greasy and rubbery you could barely chew them there disposed to be light and flaky crunchy the cheese over veggies was way to salty and cold the chicken wing was cold the chicken o. the stick was hard and cold the fish was good both fried and baked the chicken broccoli was scalding hot yes I burnt my mouth some of it tasted good and the other stuff tasted horrible and cold and old and they still charged me full 22.73 he could have accepted responsibility and asked if half would have been acceptable to pay because i did eat the fish and some other items. but instead he said nothing. thank god I don't live here and for people traveling DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! read more

My son in law placed a to go order. I have no idea what manner of chaos was going on there last night. He was told that they did not make magu guipan. That is what I always order off the menu. I've always dealt with the same young man and he's always been helpful in polite. We received so called Kung Pau chicken that had no chicken in it and no cut up onions or peppers. It should have been called Kung Pau carrots because that was all that was in it. They took a stab at making me a chicken dish with broccoli and that was pretty good. Overall I'm disappointed. This is a very good Chinese buffet. They use REAL lomein noodles, unlike every other Chinese buffet I've been to here in East Texas. I can't rate the desserts because I don't eat sweets, nor the fruits, at a paid buffet but everything else including the sushi is very good. read more

When we came here we were so hungry. It was my first time of using buffet. Such a good first time haha! I ate sooo many meat, vegetables and fruits! I can't say that I am Chinese-food-person but there were a lot of non Chinese food. Interior is nice but very-very simple. Also they gave me a small present - Chinese calendar. It was sweet. UNWASHED PLATES! I am absolutely disgusted. I would have walked out if I hadnt been with my family. I went to pick up a plate from the plate rack at the sushi bar and when I flipped the plate upside down, realized that my hand was covered in foodstuff leftover from an unwashed dish. I Took the liberty of removing that plate and the other beneath it. A waitress whisked it away before I could snap a photo of it. No one ever apologized or offered to refund me because all I had was a cup of soup. Totally disgusted!!! I didn't eat after that. The only thing I had was the egg drop soup (before the plate incident) it was good. Chances are I will NEVER return. I was generous with my first rating of 3 stars. Now? This is the best meal ever in my life. When we came back from Baton Rouge we made a stop here at Ming's buffet. We were greeted by the owner with the dragon tattoo. He was a very nice guy. The staff provided excellent service. Most importantly, the food was super good. You have to try the boneless fish, it was magnificent. There is no bone in the fish meat, very convenient for children. I recognized one of Picasso's paintings on the wall. It made me feel so comfortable and peaceful when I eat. I feel like home when I look at the painting. I am proud to rate this restaurant five stars. This is the best Asian restaurant in Texas I've ever been to. I have to say the owner with the dragon tattoo did a wonderful job for this restaurant from the quality of the food to the decoration. read more

Best Chinese buffet I've had. They have a lot of options around dinner time and it was all pretty good. I definitely wouldn't go for the desserts though or the sushi. However the rice, chicken, noodles, and fried shrimp were excellent. A little disappointed that they didn't have wonton soup. The ice cream was watery but I still liked it for some reason. We recently moved to town and decided to try the place due to it being a buffet and other about 15 mins away. All I have to say is we were very disappointed. The so called manager or owner was rude when we informed her of the cups and soda tasted like soap. And Then the food was bland and tasteless. All I have to say is if she treats all of her customers like she treated us I can see why her business is failing and she has no guests to service. read more

Though I have eaten there in the past and it was decent, I took my granddaughter to dinner there last night and it was horrible. Neither of us could eat what was on our plates and definitely no return trip to the buffet. I love cream cheese wontons, but I had to spit out the bite I took. It had been fried in old, nasty grease and it took a while to get that taste out of my mouth. Though we barely touched our food, our bill was over $22. The guy didn't ask how our food was. My gf and I were new to the area and craved a some good Chinese food! We only came across 2 places is small Vidor. Mings buffet being the lucky winner ,was the only one opened on Sunday. I feel like the dinner price buffet that was 11$ (not including a beverage) was absurd for what poor Quality food. Wasn't sure when entering if we were too seat our selves or wait to be seated by staff. We ended up just going to the buffet and making our plate.After getting our poor selection of Chinese food,We went to a table that had 2napkins and 2forks. (My gf and I) Still not sure if that was what we were suppose to do. Poor poor selection of food,like steak and chicken. No orange chicken or general . Not really any traditional savory chicken dishes! The Crawfish tasted terrible. Not bc of poor or no seasoning -because the crawfish tasted a week old. Sushi wasn't labeled ,so I had to guess what I was eating. Stuffed crabs tasted dry and old also. Ice cream from the machine was the most tasty of it all... Staff wasn't too pleasant . The waitress seemed annoyed when I asked for a Togo beverage. She then gave me my Togo drink in a 12 oz cup filled to the top with ice. I had two sips due to the excess of ice. Didn't feel welcomed. Clean bathrooms and kitchen for that matter. No paper towels for drying hands I did like the hand sanitizer on the counter where u pay. I don't need to be generous with this rating - they deserve it. If you're looking for a fast Chinese buffet without driving to Beaumont, it's extremely good. They made a great first impression with really good quality sushi, salt and pepper frog legs, a bunch of different protein and vegetable stir fry combinations, great looking cocktail shrimp on ice, and more along with attentive service. Most people pay their own way in life and at $9.99 for dinner for all this goodness there's no reason not to visit them on your next urge. If you are looking for a non-buffet, you will obviously visit a non-buffet, but if you are looking for a buffet go to Ming's - it is really good! read more

I was just back to the hotel after the mid lunch. The food is good. We are working contractors, have been looking for a place to eat. We tried this restaurant today and found out it is valuable to come compared with the prices that we do not have to drive too far to Beaumont under the heat of the month. Service is nice.
