But, I have eaten in hundreds of Chinese restaurants in countries across the globe, thousands of Chinese meals over the years. I've had weeks where I eat dim sum every single day, so....I've eaten some Chinese food...and I know when I find something special. I had the pleasure of eating here for the past four days, so I got to try a fair bit of the menu. The selection for both the dim sum and the regular menu are good, all the well known favorites are in there and they a have a few more unique dishes too. The dim sum here ranks among some of the tastiest I've tried, each dish packed with flavor and expertly prepared. I can honestly say it surpassed all my expectations finding such a flavorsome dim sum spot in Ireland. The ham sui gok (pork croquette) is phenomenal here, perfectly crispy, not oily, perfect glutinous bite and sweet pork filling. The XLB (steamed bun shanghai style), while I prefer a thinner dough, has one of the most delicious soup filings I have ever tried. The lo mai gai (rice wrapped in leaf) was also worth calling out here, beautifully sticky! The har gau (shrimp dumpling) has a beautifully fresh and light flavor. Honestly, all of the dim sum here was fresh and delicious, I didn't find anything here that was not good, and I tried most of it, even the chicken feet. :) They also serve dim sum at dinner time!! (which for people that dont eat much dim sum, that is unusual, it's mostly served only at daytime/lunch) On the main menu the roast duck cantonese style was the true champion...beyond exceptional, served off the bone which is unusual, but very pleasant! Perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy in the middle, easily one of the best dishes here. I don't know the Chinese name for this one but now I feel I have to learn it. :D The staff were all courteous and polite, and by day 4 would be greeted with smiles and nods. They would even come talk to me. It gave me that family run restaurant vibe, which I love. I brought my whole team here on the third day, we had some very selective eaters, including 2 vegetarians and one person who swore they did not like Chinese food, by the end of the meal everyone had found something they loved. I thought the prices were fair, not low, not high either, seemed about right to me. I don't understand the people who gave bad reviews, perhaps they are not used to this style of cuisine? I could not find anything to knock here (well except maybe a thinner dough on the XLB), generally everything here was expertly prepared and bursting with flavor and perfect texture. It's a solid 5 out of 5 for me, and a definite stop on my next trip through Dublin.

Absolutely unreasonable. When we raised our concerns, the staff was disrespectful and unwelcoming. We also waited far too long just to have our order taken, with zero urgency or professionalism shown. This place clearly doesn't care about families or customer experience. Skip it. Your money and your time are better spent somewhere that actually appreciates its guests.

They always keep space for walk-ins and we were able to snag a seat for just enough time to have the All In for 2. The food was delicious from start to finish and absolutely worth the gracious price point. The service was quick and friendly and we were walked thru each dish as it arrived. The portions were perfect for the two of us and we left full and happy for a night of drinking whiskey around town. When I came back on my own for the second time, I was both thrilled and surprised that the All In for 1 was a massive amount of food for one person. The first few dishes had similar servings sizes as we got for 2 people, with the dumplings and onion pancake being halved. Again, I ate very well and was entirely ready for the rest of my night out after. Now: this is NOT traditional dim sum, but it's still fabulous dumplings and related small bites. I could eat an entire jar of the kimchi on its own. The peanut slaw is unusual but tasty. And now I'm writing this review I don't remember what it was called -- but it was a toasted dumpling of some kind with pancetta???? To die for !! Things to know: they'll never have a phone number and, like much of Ireland, the hours online are generally a suggestion so plan to either book a reservation online or swing by and poke your head in. Whether it is or not, they staff are lovely. One thing I love about Chinese restaurants is that you can always tell if it is a good, authentic one or not - simply by the people in there. If there are a lot of Chinese people eating in here, chances are it's a very good sign. Needless to say, there are always a lot of locals in here, and this totally does the place justice. But my favourite part of the restaurant is the little gold cat in the window that waves its arm up and down all day long. Decor of the restaurant is very humble and does what most Chinese restaurants do without going over the top. The staff were great, very attentive, service was excellent and no rushing us out of the place as soon as we were done. The decor is very in keeping with Thai, and has a lovely relaxed atmosphere about it, even though it was busy. Very calm and not too loud, which was lovely. The food is delicious, by far the tastiest chicken satay and curry I've had, I wanted to try it all, I'll definitely be back. Unfortunately I didn't have room for desert, maybe next time!
