Tried this restaurant over the weekend and loved it! The menu is really clear and not your typical Chinese take away fare. I'm vegetarian and found there were plenty of options for me. I chose a dish that was just described as "Eggplant, Potato and Pepper" it was lovely! It was in a sticky soy type sauce, and huge! It came with egg fried rice. Really lovely! The staff were so attentive and friendly, definitely worth trying!

Chinese food in Ireland...whaaaat??? But it's actually pretty good! Flavorful but not too salty, nice variety, and after eating a bunch of fried food and potatoes this was a much-needed, fantastic break from that kind of food. I went with my husband so we only ordered 3 dishes and an appetizer: seafood and 4-season-bean (literally translated from Chinese, forgot what they're called in English), sizzling beef in black pepper sauce, braised pork belly and tofu, and pork and scallion pancake. I think my favorite was the seafood and 4-season-bean dish. It's a combination of small pieces of shrimp, squid, imitation crab and crawfish maybe? Stir fried with small pieces of the bean. My only complaint is that I wish the beans weren't cut so small. They were probably 1cm each if not less...but the flavor was fishy but not a gross fishy, and refreshing from the vegetable. The sizzling beef in black pepper sauce was also great. Good flavor, beef was a little sweet, peppers and onions were good. Braised pork belly and tofu dish was delicious! The pork belly comes with some fatty/collagen pieces, which I love, and the sauce is good to drizzle on rice. It comes with Chinese leek, so if you don't like that flavor watch out for that, but I like it! The tofu was also good, good texture and flavor. Lastly, the pork and scallion pancake was also good! It's kinda like a bun, where its bready stuff that's wrapping stuff inside, but squished quite flat, maybe 1cm thick, and pan fried so it's crispy on the outside but the inside is juicy with the pork and scallion. All in all, delicious! We'd definitely come back if we were staying longer. Some notes: rice is ordered separately by small bowl or large bowl for sharing. All that plus rice and a beer was 40€, and the best part is that the leftovers will last us for at least one more meal each, so it's not that expensive! But of course, it depends on what you order.

Possibly to become my favourite Chinese restaurant in Dublin. Our first time here but we will be back. Fresh food - even the fried rice was freshly fried. Several special Chinese teas. We were the only non Asians there. Service is fast and courteous. Double check orders has some staff might not fully understand. I ordered half a duck but they brought a whole duck and only charged us for half. I met several foodie friends are also talking about it. And the best pan fried dumplings - delicate - light. with subtle flavours. Our neighbouring diners were having lobster and some others were having some sort of amazing noodle dish that I was too shy to ask about

"This is food that makes you happy" was what my mum and I kept uttering whilst eating. We had first walked into the restaurant to the left of this one but decided to come here when we were completely ignored. At Lee Kee we were welcomed very pleasantly and immediately got free water on the table. They have a very wide selection of food, which makes it impossible to choose (broad range of chicken, poultry, seafood and more). When our food did arrive, both dishes were delicious and just spicy enough for our liking. The reason I don't give five stars is because the toilet was not clean unfortunately, but of course what we saw was just one moment and it may have been unfortunate timing on our behalf. If you are in the neighbourhood, give this one s try!

Noodles are cost effective at 5euro per portion but In my opinion they are nothing special. I'd normally only order here if I was famished while leaving the city centre. On a couple of occasions I ordered the noodles while requesting non-spicy and what do I get?, 'Burn the mouth off ya spicy noodles' . Now I do love spicy food but I also like a break from it at times. They also have other Chinese-inspired foods available, again they're okay but wouldn't blow your mind. It also seems like the pre-prepared food has been basting under the heat for too long.

My friend and I ordered from Wok On Inn for delivery. The spare ribs smelled like raw meat that had been sitting around for about a week. We ordered two big boxes, with spare ribs which remained untouched (with the lid on, the smell was too much to bare), prawn crackers and soft drinks. In my 'big box' I got chicken balls which were ok but I could only eat 1.5, the driest noodles of all time, chicken wings and thai green curry with shrivelled lumps of tofu I actually mistook for a misplaced dehydrated chip. The prepackaged diet coke and prawn crackers (which are extremely hard to mess up, let's be real) were the stars/only consumable parts of the meal. Would not recommend.

Nestled in the multicultural area of Dublin 1, Lee's Charming Noodles is an unassuming, "blink and…read moreyou'll miss it" little cafe, but don't let its unassuming exterior fool you: it's a Dublin favorite with flavorful dishes that pack a punch. Once inside, the space is compact yet welcoming, with cramped and casual seating, and simple décor that makes you feel like you've stepped into a local favourite rather than a tourist trap. The vibe is relaxed and informal: great for a quick lunch, casual dinner, or late-night noodle craving. At around 7:30pm on Valentine's Day, my party of four arrived at the restaurant, which was packed full. However, the lady at the counter told us that our wait would be shorter if we divided up into parties of two; with two tables, we ended up only waiting about ten minutes. The menu is extensive, with the eponymous noodles (with a variety of soups, fried dishes, etc.), various proteins, and vegetables. Each table comes with salt, pepper, vinegar, soy sauce, and chili oil to doctor up your dishes as you'd like, which we appreciated. We ordered their House Special Pan-Fried Noodle (€17.80), with beef, chicken, pork, and prawns. It didn't seem like a large portion, but it was surprisingly filling, and not overly greasy, despite being fried. The noodles maintained an al-dente toothsomeness, soaking up a savory, almost gravy-like sauce, and all of the meat/prawns were cooked nicely. The Szechuan Style Mapo Tofu (€13.80) was truly a surprising delight; a staple dish in almost every Chinese restaurant, Lee's version is absolutely lovely. The tofu is soft and pillowly, soaking up an addictive sauce with that numbing mala spice that keeps you coming back for more. Rice is extra (€2.50), but I would highly recommend it to mix with the mapo tofu. Their Hot & Sour Braised Beef Noodle Soup (€11.80, extra €2 to switch to flat and extra wide hand-pulled noodles) was delicious; topped with succulent chunks of melt-in-your-mouth braised beef, bok choy, and hand-pulled extra-wide noodles soaked up the spicy, acidic broth with a hit of vinegar. Additionally, their Chicken Noodle (€11.80) was another hit; it's a warm, comforting, clean broth, with tender slices of dark meat chicken, and we ordered it with rice noodles. We absolutely loved our meal at Lee's; it's the kind of place where the focus is squarely on the food rather than ambience, and the atmosphere reflects that. We didn't expect to find such a hidden gem (and perhaps the best Chinese food we've had in Europe), offering generous portions and satisfying flavors without a hefty bill. Certainly a recommendation if you're in the area!
