I signed up for the 30-day trial at Full Body Yoga and initially thought I had found a great…read morefit--convenient location, good class times, and a couple solid classes to start. Then I took the yin/restorative class. It was 44 degrees outside, and the studio had the AC running. The room stayed cold the entire 75-minute class. A student asked about turning up the heat and ultimately left early because of it. Multiple people used blankets just to stay warm. The instructor even acknowledged the temperature and suggested we use blankets to cover up--yet the AC continued running and nothing was adjusted. Restorative yoga is supposed to be relaxing and intentional. This felt like the opposite. If the goal was a cold yoga experience, it might be worth making that clear upfront.

Now that…read moreI've officially completed both (my burning quads can confirm), I can definitely recommend checking out this cute studio! The yoga class (VIN to YIN) I took earlier this week was with Marta - she was kind and helpful - offering several modifications for some of the harder movements throughout the practice. The class itself was mostly moms with a few men mixed in ... which can be a rarity sometimes in the yoga world. I left her class feeling relaxed and recharged. The workout class I took this morning (Full Body Fit) was with Andrea. She is exactly the kind of person you want leading your pilates/barre workout - lots of excited energy. This is a great way to start your morning ... 45 minutes of hard work, then you're already done with your workout for the day! I do feel this studio is lacking some class variety. I understand it may be difficult to fill classes coming out of the pandemic - but if you're looking to take an early morning class or even break up your workday with some yoga, you won't find those options here. I also wish there was a phone number listed somewhere so you could call with questions - the app and the website have very detailed information, but if you ever needed to call for any reason, there's no way to do that without getting your instructor's direct number. That said -- I do love that you can book classes directly through the app. They have a generous cancellation policy of three hours. If you don't have a mat to call your own, they have several ready for you to use.

My boyfriend often comments about how every time I return from yoga class with my hair plastered in sweat that I'm the most at peace he ever sees me. I never knew backbends and handstands could feel so good. I love going to the classes here so much, I volunteered to build the website (in exchange for some classes) just to make sure the word got out into the community. Charlotte, the main instructor, has traveled the globe honing her skills as a yoga teacher. Classes range from restorative yoga for people with health conditions, to general yoga directed to beginners and intermediate level students, and power yoga (or advanced) for students who have been practicing for some time. Conveniently located just blocks from MainStrasse in Covington, I highly recommend this studio for new and experienced students. Your first two classes are free, so just check out the schedule on the website to choose the class that best fits your needs.

There are several classes offered during the week, and the location is easy to find. Parking is typically available, especially after business hours. The instructors are friendly and always offer options that are more/less challenging to accommodate varying levels of ability in the class. The space is cozy but big enough to allow for a full class. Most of all, the classes are challenging and relaxing. I always leave feeling stronger and more centered, and I look forward to returning.

I was fortunate enough to try the classes with their 8 classes for $99 deal. The bathrooms were clean, the facility was clean, and the staff was kind. Some people got codes to the door so they could enter for their classes, but I didn't get that luxury. The pricing for membership is decent (might be steep for others depending on your budget), but I wish they offered more medium/low income friendly options. Or at least extended the amount of classes you get access to. The scheduling is online which is great, but the availability was scarce for what I wanted to try. I'm recovering from an injury so the instructors were mindful and offered variations I could try instead that would've cause me pain. Still, I think gentle Pilates Reformer would've worked better for me and I didn't get to try that because it was only offered during the day and never after 5pm.

Do you body a favor and take a Pilates class, then take several more!…read more I was recommend Pilates by my physical therapist after a knee injury and surgery which made it difficult to be as active as I used to be. I had also been experiencing back and shoulder aches and spent 8 months with a chiropractor with no resolution. I took an intro class, they are free and a great introduction of you've never worked with a reformer, I had not. You will also need socks with grips on the soles. The instructor was incredibly helpful and talked out each move and breathing techniques. They have also taken the time to come over and adjust you if your form is wrong (COVID has changed things). All of this is to say that after 3 months of starting Pilates, the pain my shoulder and back are nearly gone, my posture is better (I sit in front of a computer all day), and I have seen a huge difference in what my knee is able to do now compared to my first Pilates class (I had a lot of modifications). Membership: There are several different types of memberships based on number of classes you'd like to attend monthly or weekly. The passport for example is an unlimited membership that allows you to go to any Club Pilates nationwide and costs $259/monthly. Classes: An abundance of experienced instructors and classes. You can book using the app and the login is site specific. This is my only issue with Club Pilates; the old app worked well for me but the 2.0 version does not.
