Injured my neck and shoulder diving for a softball last weekend. I thought the pain would go away…read morebut 5 days later I still could barely look to my left and the pain was very uncomfortable. It was all I could think about. I yelped chiropractors near South Riding and called around. The first two did not even see new patients on Friday afternoons. Dr. Schleifer was the third office I called and had a 3pm opening on Friday (it was 12pm on Friday when I called). A new and nice office building with ample parking awaited me. He was at his desk when I arrived and was very pleasant. After about a 15 minute assessment he applied some muscle stimulation and heat therapy. That was followed by an adjustment along with instructions to ice my shoulder and neck that evening. The therapy worked more than I could have imagined. I was able to play in a softball game and have no ill effects of my neck injury the next day (saturday) and have only slight discomfort today (sunday). I'll go to a follow up session with him this week to make sure I've maintained my healing process.

I was finally able to have a call back from these folks and was able to book an appointment. The establishment is clean and the staff were friendly. We received a 60 minute massage. The massage was 'okay'. It felt like someone just rubbing oil on you. The pressure was kind of weak. I felt awkward bringing it up more than once. After we redeemed our gift card, there was an issue with gratuity. When we were gifted this a few years back, our friends mentioned they had added 20% tip. I believe the price of the massage went up, which makes sense. However, the front desk person made it seem like prices haven't changed and it was odd that the tip was so little. It would have been nice if they were just honest with why the top was much less now, which is probably because the price of the massage went up. I would probably check out another place.

A family member asked what they could get me and I said I'd love a massage. It was my part to do the research and find where I wanted to go. I've done the ultra luxe massages at the Four Seasons and I've also done Massage Envy. It's really the masseuse that makes the difference. I looked for best local massages near me and found Serendipity. Reading through the profiles of the massage therapists I was intrigued by Tonya, mainly for what I interrupted as would be a hard massage experience. My muscles definitely needed a hard touch, not just a relaxing massage. I appreciated the extra attention to the sore spots I noted. The process upon arrival was unclear. It was about 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment time that I made contact with an employee and was immediately helped. I'd return again in the future and recommend Tonya to anyone not afraid of a more pronounced touch to the massage.

I've seen a few reviews that reference too hard or too soft. trust me...if you communicate with the employees, they will adjust to your needs. I have a lot of injuries and associated metal plates and s Rees in my back and one leg. I simply tell them where to avoid, where to focus and how much pressure I am looking for. they are alway polite and more than willing to please me. Second..... the establishment is always very clean and has a positive vibe. the rooms are cleane, the sheets are clean and the employees appear clean and professional. Finally ........ the price is well worth the massage you receive. I recommend the 90 minute as it gives them time to work the pain and stress out of your body. You've read the reviews, now get on the phone and book an appointment. See for yourself what youve been missing. M. Weiss

My frustration is the inconsistent pricing and repeated upselling of oil and hot stones. My first $60 massage came with a $20 oil add-on. On my latest visit, I was quoted $80, then $70 after mentioning previous visits, despite paying $60 just last month. The final charge was $72, including the credit card fee, which I don't mind. The massages are excellent, but clear, consistent pricing and less upselling would make the experience much better.
