My massage was amazingly relaxing. The atmosphere here is very therapeutic, and the location is very close to my house! I was very pleased with the monthly membership program. I highly recommend getting it! read more

Came here for a pre-New Year's massage to jump into the new year with all good vibes and fresh muscles from all the wear and tear from work haha! I received a gift card from my wife for father's day, but this place stays so booked, that I finally booked it 6 months later! I opted for a 90-min signature massage from Juliet D and it was AMAZING! I'm not the type to want a massage, but I will get one if it was a gift or if I'm doing a couples massage. Juliet worked my knots in my back and really focused on them to ensure they would loosen up. Now the after effect of the massage I felt like I was just leaving a street fight, but after some hydration and some heating pads, I was back to normal. Once everything returned back to normal, I can honestly say that I can tell a huge difference with my range of motion as well as my overall movement. The only downfall is that they raised their prices again as of Dec 2022 which is disappointing, but I will be back! read more

It's been a long time and I really needed this massage today Juliet was amazing, and she found every knot in my body, and made sure to work them all out thoroughly The facility is fantastic. It's spotlessly clean and the massage therapists are all magnificent. I just happen to use Juliet today and she was amazing but I've had many of the other therapists and they are all quite incredible. I cannot recommend them enough. read more

Message therapists are very good if you can get an appointment. Most evening appointments are at least 10-14 days in advance. If you request a specific message therapist or message then you can wait a month or more. They charge $79/month regardless of whether you have an appointment or not. The hours accrue but are difficult to use if there are no appointments available. read more

We have been coming go this spa for several years and encourage everyone both living in the area and neighboring cities- Arlington, Fairfax, Ashburn, etc...to take the time and drive to this place. My therapist Juliet is such an important part of taking care of my mind, body and spirit! She understands what I need and is always positive! This spa has the best owner, best manager, best professional staff and therapists! My husband and I highly recommend making this a part of your self-care! read more

My mom had a great time getting her massage don at champaka Thai massage with Wajia. She was committed to great service and very professional. I have been living in Paris for the past 6 years and have had massages everywhere from San Diego to Shanghai... I have been trying to find a Thai massage in Paris that matches the quality of Champaka and I am still looking! I make a detour here every time I'm in town. Lamai, the receptionist staff, and the masseuses are all true professionals who are polite and attentive. I do not go to one particular therapist because the quality of the massage is consistently excellent from one therapist to another - I've probably seen over a dozen therapists as I've coming here since around 2015. The massage area is clean and has a relaxing ambiance. I've never had a negative experience. The word has gotten out about how great this place is and massages book up quickly, so make sure to schedule in advance. I do miss the citrus foot scrub they used to do pre-Covid and I hope they bring it back! read more

Nice Thai massage place. Loved it. They do care of you. A little self care is essential. I normally go for Thai traditional or the ashiatsu massage. Though their deep tissue massage is good as well. Ben, Reewan, Juliet are some of the better masseuse here. read more

I have been going here for 17 months now. Everyone I have seen for a massage has been awesome! Today I had a traditional Thai massage by PJ. (He's my preferred massage therapist.) I was in Thailand in February and got a massage every chance I could. My traditional Thai massage today exceeded the ones I had in Thailand! It was so good and I left feeling amazing. I have two herniated discs and had rotator cuff surgery. I came home feeling like a brand new person! For about the last 6 months, I have been bringing my adult son with special needs along and having a massage done in the couples room so if he needs anything I am close to him. Rin has been great with him! She's patient and kind and recognizes his needs. He loves getting massages by Rin! I highly recommend this place! All staff at the front are very friendly and so nice, too! read more

OMG! You simply have to go. It's like nothing I've ever experienced but the stretching was amazing.

I really like this place a lot great massage therapist. They offer a lot of different options for massages. I've don't so far 2 different massages options. read more

This was the best massage experience! Everything is pristine, the atmosphere is relaxing, and highly professional. The staff are welcoming and the massage therapist listened to what I needed. Excellent service and the price is more than fair for the quality. In my search for booking a massage, I was able to book a next day appointment. The other 10 places I called across northern Virginia before finding this gem either didn't answer or didn't have openings until next Wednesday! Worth every penny and worth the investment in my health. read more

Oum is the absolute best masseuse She is very conscientious and professional. I look forward to my visits each month. Ms. Caroline who welcomes the clients - even if she was having a bad day, you would never know it. Her infectious smile and pleasant demeanor is a welcome sight. read more

Since my first review is in not recommended section, Thank you YELP? I did spend good time to write last reviews... I hope this one stays. I did go the Champaka to get a massage again, this time was Ashiatsu. My therapist was Ek Anong, the session was 2hrs. I felt little sorry to get 2hrs massages because I think this makes them tired, but hey, I want to treat myself real good, I was very tired. She was very talented, knowing where to press hard, where not to. walking on the back can be tricky, but she used the bar under the ceiling. She did use her hands to massages some areas, I think that is better then just feet. I probably not enjoy foot on my face. lol So session ended, hardest part of massage is getting off the table... may be 3 hrs next time? I guess that' may be too much. She was little sweaty, so I guess I worked her very much, since I like deep pressure. Well, Thank you for the hard work, massage was well worth travel to haymarket. So, back to reality with nice a cup of tea, I am happy.... for now. See you again Champaka. I will need you guys soon. Thank you so much. read more

I sometimes hate leaving such good reviews for places because I want to keep them a secret.... Hands down the best massage I've ever had. I like deep tissue, elbows and knees in my back and this did not disappoint. I have had both a table massage and a traditional Thai massage and will never get anything other than a Thai massage as long as I live. If you like a lighter massage I'm not sure how it'd work, but they might be able to tone it down accordingly. AJ is tiny, but packs a punch. Highly recommended. read more

Best massage and spa experience I have had In a long long time. Was well worth every penny spent here. Wayia showed superb balance in personality, technique, and attention to detail. I will be returning and will be spreading the word about this fantastic business! read more

Can't recommend this place highly enough. I've had many massages here, and every one was outstanding! Professional, relaxing, reasonably priced, and very friendly. I've used multiple masseuses, and everyone was top notch. read more

DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS. I had a terrible experience. Their staff was dismissive, rude, and condescending. I was really looking forward to this based off of other reviews. Down right the worst customer service I have had. It's not worth your time. What the advertise on their website is very misleading. read more

Amazing 90 minute with Deidre. Highly recommend her. I've been getting massages for almost 10 years, and I can tell you this is the first time I actually felt refreshed and ALSO realigned. Went to work with total comfort. She really helped the proper muscle groups release tension, do what they are supposed to do. I sat up and immediately felt a difference in balance and pressure, more than the "ooh and ahh" of a few kinks coming out. I didn't fall asleep (no worries) because I was so interested in hearing about functional patterns in the body--she knows her stuff y'all! She massages some muscles that probably haven't been properly taken care of in years. Well done. I'm a customer now. Deidre you've got me. read more

This is the best kept secret of Haymarket/Gainesville. The prices are so affordable and you get a great quality massage head to toe! I did the deep tissue with Maggie, she was awesome!! She worked out every knot I had in my back. I cannot remember the last time my back was so free. Champaka will now be a 1-3 time a month venture for me. I loved the whole experience. I will be recommending to everyone! I look forward to trying all the other massages they offer. read more

I was recommended to come here about four years ago and haven't looked back since. At first I would book appointments far and few between. This year I decided to get a membership. The ladies at the front desk are very pleasant. Every massage therapist has been excellent. My preferred therapists is PJ. He listens to exactly what I need and I always leave feeling much better. I've had some knots in my upper back for awhile that were tough to release. I was very impressed when PJ was able to get my upper back to open up! Overall, I plan to be a long time customer. read more

The massage tech/masseuse are all good and very friendly and they know what they are doing. But, the front desk, forget it!!! very rude and doesn't have good customer service! read more

Amazing massage. My husband and I got a couple's massage from Rin and Marina and they were the best! We will definitely be going back again.

I was skeptical with the 5 star reviews, however it's definitely worth 5 stars, I don't give too many 5 stars in businesses. The masseuse was a true professional who cared for their clients. I loved their service of traditional Thai massage. The right amount of pressure was applied too my body. I got the massage with the tiger balm because my back muscles was sore and it definitely relieved the pain. Thai massages come with stretching and flexing some body parts around joints to stretch the muscles. It's just like how I expected but better. The masseuse also explained why my spine was slightly misshapen due to my tightness in my legs and poor posture from sitting in a desk all day. She definitely knows what she's talking about. I got the introductory price of $99. It was my first time at this establishment. I will definitely will be back for more! read more

I am a 46 year old veteran with a history of back problems. In 2017 at 44 years old and 229 pounds, I decided that in order to prove that I am still a bad ass, I was going to run my first marathon. I started training in the spring for a fall race. In the thick of my training I was running over 60 miles a week. While I was losing weight, I am still very heavy for a runner. My old beat up body reminded me of it after every run. Song, Apple, Rin and several others (I can't always keep a schedule with the same therapist) helped me keep training through the minor injuries and pain. I always get deep tissue and they are not what can be described as relaxing but if it wasn't for the sessions at Chimpaka, I would not have been able to complete the 2017 USAF marathon. Now I am training for an ultra Marathon and going even more regularly. read more

Best massage Ever! PJ did an AMAZING job on my deep tissue massage. I'll be back for sure!

The hubby got me a gift certificate for here as a birthday gift. I signed up online for the traditional massage, thinking it was like the ones I always get. Wrong! I'm not gonna lie it hurt like hell sometimes. And I burst out laughing at one point as she was twisting my body in ways it had no intention of going. You know when you laugh at an inappropriate time and then you can't stop. Yeah that was me. But I like to experience new things so I told myself to just get whatever gift it gave me. And the gift was walking out of there feeling great! I highly recommend you give it a try. Just be aware of what you're walking into so you don't end up confused like me. Loved the tea afterward too. They do give you the full hour which was nice. read more

With CrossFit blessing us with many sore muscles, my husband and I visited Champaka on the recommendation of another member of our gym. We went a few days apart and each saw a different masseuse for a 90-minute Ashiatsu massage, and it was wonderful. They offer complimentary hot tea and water, and wash your feet with a citrus/salt scrub before going back to the room. The amount of pressure was perfect, the massage was thorough, the pricing is extremely competitive. We have been looking for a great massage in the NoVA area for years, and we've finally found the place where we will become regulars. They also accept SpaFinder gift cards, which can be bought at a discount at Costco. EDIT: I gave 5 stars after trying Ashiatsu, and now that I've done Traditional Thai I wish it were possible to add more stars. I LOVE this place. read more

I have never reviewed anything before, mostly because I'm lazy or my experience was good but not awesome. That is very different here. I've had massages in Hawaii, Cancun, and tried every place near Gainesville. Champaka is hands down the best. Other places either go through the motions or make you pay out the nose. Champ aka was very reasonably priced, gave you 60 minutes of massage, and the quality was perfect. They were attentive to the areas where I hurt and used enough pressure that it wasn't just another back rub. I definitely intend to go back. You should too. read more

So worth the money! Best part of it all was that they actually give you the full massage time unlike most places. 60 minutes means receiving one full hour of massage time not 40 minutes of massage and 20 minutes prep time. The staff were extremely kind and friendly, making you feel completely comfortable with the whole experience. I will definitely be back! Excited to bring my significant other here for a relaxed experience. read more

Still going here over a year later and have tried the Traditional Thai Massage, Ashiatsu (spelling??), and hot stone Massage. All amazing... so nice having consistency in every visit. The owner is very pleasant and I just found out they make their tea there. I'm not a tea drinker, but for some reason I wanted to try it after my last visit. Highly recommend it. So good! I still see Bebe every time too, but I'm sure they're all great. I'm just partial to her :) treat yourself to a massage and go to Champaka. read more

This was my first massage ever. Walking into this place I already felt relaxed and chill. Such a relaxing atmosphere. I waited in the lobby for a little bit before my masseuse "Ping" came to get me and sat me down in a chair before going into the room. In that chair she takes off your shoes and socks and cleans and massages your feet with some stuff that looks like cold wet salt and lemon, but feels good. After that she took me into the massage room where laid down and received a relaxing massage throughout my whole body. It felt so good and relaxing I had to catch my self from falling asleep a couple times. This is definitely a place to go and get away from everything and relax and get massaged. I definitely recommend this place and highly recommend Ping, she was AWESOME!! read more

Cancelled my membership Dec. 17th 2021 and my credit card was still charged in January and February 2022. I have made complaints to the BBB, OAG-VA and have reported fraud to my credit card company. Will NOT be returning and recommend that anyone who comes here for service check their credit card statements thoroughly. read more

I made a reservation for the Champaka Signature Massage through their website as a birthday gift for my wife. I was confused by their website's pricing, and had troubles getting a reply. However, once they were aware of the issue, they cleared things up better than could be expected. My wife loved her massage and would recommend it. read more

Update on my one-star review. They promised to refund my payment. It never happened. Another FAIL!

Simply the best massage and massage experience I have ever had. From arriving to a beverage and a foot scrub to the Ashiatsu treatment absolutely AMAZING! My Masseuse was AJ who was beyond attentive and most of all professional. Y'all won me over - I will be back - soon! read more

Had a deep tissue massage with Maggie today and can't wait to go back.
