In search of a new doctor and Yelp is where I turn - once again my fellow Yelpers did not let me down. The pandemic has really impacted me and it is showing up in my skin so I needed help. And I found it! I have been here twice already. The building and office are both conveniently located so easy to get to both! Plenty of parking and I am always able to get pretty close to the door even when it seems full. The appointment process was pretty quick and easy beforehand over the phone. What I love most about this office is its efficiency: I am in and out! Many doctors are notorious for having patients waiting for close to an hour in the waiting room and then perfunctorily rushing us through an exam with no follow-ups. Not the case here. I came and began filling out paperwork and before I was done, I was called back to the room. I was seen and heard. I felt very taken care of and my prescriptions were ready that evening when I went to pick them up. The prescribed medicines have subsided my inflammations and now I hope I am on my way to healthier skin for what I hope was a one off due to the stresses and anxiety of a global pandemic. My follow-up visit was equally appreciated. I think I waited for less than five minutes after check-in and was seen in less than five minutes again after I was taken to a room. I have only seen Allyson the physician assistant and I am very happy in her care. I felt that she really listened and thought about a proper path forward. I also felt that she had compassion however subtle for how uncomfortable I was. I felt safe and comfortable which is important when you see your doctor. I hate feeling judged, ignored or not listened to by people who are supposed to be a help. Additionally, both nurses were efficient and courteous on both visits. I would highly recommend this practice but here are a few things they could do to improve even though I am giving them five stars... (1) I would love it if they were paperless upon check-in (this can be done beforehand online and/or in office via a whiteboard or a tablet/computer. (2) Although I was scheduled for a follow-up before I left on the second visit, I was not on the first visit - that would have been ideal as I had to call myself and was lucky enough after calling back twice to get into a cancellation spot so I could remain on time for my follow-up (3) My prescription was sent over but percentages/strengths were left out of the compound so this is delaying completion of my order. They were contacted in the early afternoon hours but it looks like they will not be returning the call until the next business day. (4) I always appreciate an obligatory hand wash when medical staff enter the room just to know they are keeping everything clean especially if they make contact with my skin. TERRIBLE!!!! My daughter had a cyst on her chest removed. A week after it did not look right, we went back and they said it was fine. Still not seeming like it was healing right, we went to a different practice. He said it looked like a keloid and treated it, did not change, so he sent us to a plastic surgeon. He treated it to soften it for surgery for year. When he was able to finally do the surgery, he asked how many stitches the original derm (mindful) used to close the incision. They didn't use any. He said it looked as if some of the glue they used got into the incision and that is why it formed the keloid. I was so mad! Not only did we tell them it did not look right, but they obviously did not do a good job since they got glue in the wound. I have never gone back obviously, And while I did go there at that time, I will say they over charge for all of their esthetics. I feel they are more about money than how than anything else. read more

Wow, probably the worst aftercare service I've ever experienced. I had a biopsy done over a month ago and they said they would call me with the results. Nothing. So I've called more than 5 times leaving messages and even talking with the receptionist. They all say "the nurse will call you back within 48 hours". Nothing! Avoid this practice!! read more

Alyssa, a nurse practitioner, has been my treating physician for years! I like how she just takes a quick glance at my records and knows exactly what I'm there for. This office has low turnover so the consistency is ideal for repeat patients like me that struggle with lifetime skin conditions. I don't need to explain the reasons for my periodic visits so I'm in there for just a few minutes (approximately 10 minutes). I highly recommend this office for all of your skincare concerns! I called for an appointment. I was asked what insurance I had. I started to say Medicare & Tricare but she cut me off at "Medicare" and said they don't take Medicare. Bad manners! I said I could Personal pay. She said coldly, "No, you have Medicare." What's Medicare got to do with paying in cash, credit card, personal check, money order or cashier's check? I also knew that she was lying because I have Personal Paid at other doctor's offices for procedures that are not covered. I got this deep feeling of discrimination against older people not only by the attitude I received but the assumption that I couldn't self pay. Discrimination Is an ugly thing. By the time she said No to Personal Pay I had so many emotions going through my head...helpless was the worst of them. If you have Medicare, do not call this doctor's office. You will feel worthless and aggravated when you hang up. read more

Booked a facial and was quoted $185. Facialist failed to tell me she was adding in a service or what cost would be so imagine my surprise when the price charged $225 was higher than the facial I had originally booked. Argued with receptionist to no avail... What a RIPOFF and Soo unprofessional for a MD supported business.. Will never use them again!!!! I had to ask her what each step was for. read more

I ended up with zero info as she seemed offended that my insurance would not cover an appt. I was willing to pay out of pocket, but she made no effort to aid in any guidance on what things cost. Dr. Cather is a great doctor, however her support and office staff are not up to her caliber. The office staff should be CONFIRMING insurance prior to CONFIRMING an appointment. To find out, upon arrival, is not acceptable. I was surprised to see a desk worker eating breakfast (at her desk) 45 minutes after the office had opened to patients. I've been seeing Melody Young and Dr. Cather for 8 years. During that time Melody quickly identified a patch of skin cancer on my arm. I am definitely not someone who writes negative reviews often, but I was very disappointed with my experience here. I had a 2:00 appointment with Dr. Young yesterday. They were running behind schedule so I didn't get called back until 2:15 or so, which was not a big deal, I understand that will happen from time to time at any practice. Once I was called back, the nurse was nice and helpful, and Dr. Young came in to see me shortly thereafter. I was not very impressed with her at all. She hardly spent any time asking me questions to determine the best options for my treatment, and it felt extremely rushed. I tried my best to provide her with all the relevant information regarding my issue, but I couldn't really get a word in. She basically took one cursory look at my skin, told the nurse what prescriptions to call in, and left without giving me much of a chance to ask questions about the medications or over the counter product recommendations. Thankfully, the nurse was helpful in answering my questions after the doctor left, but I would have felt more comfortable if I was able to have more time to talk to Dr. Young. I hope the prescriptions she gave me are right for my skin, but I do not have the confidence I was hoping I would have after our appointment. I will not be coming to this practice again. read more
