Quick 15 min hello around other dogs. They were thorough in their analysis of my dog, and his attitude, and recommended a Saturday daycare to ease him into a new place. The staff also stressed getting vaccine data and keeping it up to date before even letting my pup go into any room with other dogs, which I thoroughly appreciated. Since that first visit, we've had no issues with pick up or drop off. You have to pre-book your dog for day care or boarding via their app, and they book up fast. They offer grooming too but last I checked, they didn't have a full time groomer. They likely do now, so just ask. Now the dog part: My dog has been coming here for the past month and LOVES IT. He's always been calm in the car, but when I pull up to the lot, and put the car in park, he's out of his seat and pawing at the door to get inside the building! He leaves the day care excited from a day of play, and proceeds to crash on the couch once he's home. Best part is that he doesn't come back smelly or gross, even after a long day! She is a high energy husky and really needs to burn through that energy during the week. The staff is beyond excited and friendly when we drop her off. They don't have any scheduled quiet time for the dogs, and all of the dogs are together in one large room for most of the day. It's quite a large number of dogs too, I think they had 40 on my pups last day of care and 3-4 staff. I thought there was a better human to dog ratio when I first enrolled my dog. A good friend of mine was also sending her dog here up until about a month ago. Her dog didn't do well with the lack of quiet time or lack of structure. Look Squirrel seems to have quite a few happy customers (see Google reviews) -- it just wasn't a good fit for my friend's dog nor my dog. We've both moved our dogs to other daycares, and our dogs are thriving at the new places.

I signed up for group training classes with my puppy. She knew one of the other dogs in class, and…read morethe two of them were very aroused and wanted to say hello, which understandably is not allowed during a group training class. My puppy spent much of the class barking, and it was frustrating. The trainer separated the other dog into another room at one point and also tried using a wall as a barrier, but I did not feel there were many suggestions for how to handle the situation or help us make progress. The trainer herself was unable to help the situation, which did not instill confidence. I spoke with the trainer after the first couple of sessions because I did not feel like I was getting much out of the classes and my puppy was barking through most of them. After that conversation, I was essentially told it was not working to have my puppy in the class and that we should not continue. I asked for a partial refund, but one was not provided. They would not budge on that, even though we were being asked not to come back. After some back and forth, I was offered a private session, but my dog then had health problems that prevented us from training for a period of time. Ultimately, I decided not to go back. There is also judgment around people who use e-fences. I was told they would not even do private training with a dog that has an e-fence at home, which I do. In my conversations with employees, I was not offered best practices for people who already have e-fences, only disapproval. The space itself is nice for a small group setup, and it is clean. My dog and I are working toward AKC Canine Good Citizen and eventual therapy dog certification, so I have stayed consistent with training and have had better experiences elsewhere, including NK Petco and Mischief Managed. When I explained the scenario of the dogs being aroused in class to trainers at these other facilities they offered a list of solutions and things to try that worked.
