My dogs are part of my family so I do not just leave them with any day care service. We dropped our huskies off here a few times before our vacation so they could get acclimated to coming here and they would always come back all tuckered out from playing. Needless to say, I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing they were in excellent care. Plus when we picked them up they were both fresh out from a bath. My husband and I are newly married and we adopted a house pony last winter. Our new giant puppy,…read moreKlaus, is everything to us and we haven't spent time away from him. We are the three musketeers going everywhere together. I'd gotten news that my husband and I needed to spend some time out of town for some medical appointments and it would be too long to leave Klaus in his crate, and what if we were stuck longer in traffic or needed to extend our stay? My husband did exhaustive research about in-house pet sitting, daycare and boarding services in the area and came up with Lucky Dog Resort. We decided that lucky dog was the best fit for us because we could leave him for a day if we'd ever need to drop him off while we are out running errands or leave him overnight if we needed to travel. All of their options seemed to work for us for any anticipated needs. We couldn't be more thrilled with their staff, facility and services. When we drop Klaus off at their gate he is SO EXCITED to be there. The staff greets us and reviews his typical daily schedule, food and sleeping habits with us. They have crating options and snuggling options and make sure to note when your dog typically eats and how much. There are often many, many things to worry about on a given day and Lucky Dog Resort has taken one worry from our list - we no longer worry that Klaus is happy and safe when he's not with us. They send us mid-day photos and videos and his doggie smile is enough to prove how happy he is to be running around with friends. Their team is reinforcing his training and good behaviors and best of all, he comes home from daycare EXHAUSTED - he's run and played and gotten rubbies all day long. He is loved, safe and cared for at Lucky Dog Resort.

Patty, the owner seemed lovely. I wasn't thrilled about the size of the crates 6x4, but figured we could do a trial run for 1 night before his actual stay. We agreed on a day and time for me to bring my cat and the day before she asked if I could come at 9:00am instead of 9:30am because she was heading out for 2 hours at 9:15!! WHAT?? She thought nothing of having me bring my cat who had never been there before, shove him in a crate and the leave right after he gets there for 2 hours? The whole point of me bringing him was for her to meet him, see how he does. When I asked if it might be better to bring him later that day when she would be around, she said no I'm having company!! Again WHAT?? How much attention and time was she planning on spending with my cat who would probably have been frightened as can be. I would NEVER bring my cat there and I'm so happy that I learned what she's truly all about beforehand. Looks can be deceiving!!

First, Ashlee is a HUGE animal lover and it shows in how she interacts with her clients' pets and how they react and interact with her. There is never a time where, if I need to text or call her that I don't hear back either immediately or within an hour or so. Normally, Ashlee sees my guys 4 days a week for an afternoon play session in my yard. On occasion, I may be getting home late from work or may need some help on a weekend day. Ashlee is always ready to help how ever she can. Next, Ashlee is very capable of handling any type of dog. The combined weight of my two is close to 200 lbs. they're big and have strong personalities. Ashlee handles them both with ease. She understands what dogs need in a leader and how to be that leader, and have fun with them. Ashlee is also very well educated when it comes to canine health and nutrition. I often find myself consulting her if something comes up with one of my dogs. She's always willing to share what works for her and most dogs, and will point out if she sees something that should be changed or removed from their diets. Simply put, Ashlee is a lifesaver. I'm single and work full time. It would be hard for me to have two dogs without Ashlee's help. She means so much to all three of us and we're lucky to have her in our lives, helping us out each day she can. If you're looking for help with your dog in her area, it would be impossible to find anyone more dedicated and loving for your pet to spend time with than Ashlee!
