In receiving services with cps there was a lot inconsistency with services and the therapist was changing frequently. So naturally I thought that if we paid for private services this problem can be avoided. So I searched for a private practice . I was assured that the request for having my child consistently work with the same therapist would be fulfilled. Those assurances gave me peace of mind and with that we enroll our child. Now I'm being informed that my child will no longer be able to work with the same therapist due to policy change. I asked what the out of pocket expense would be to keep my son with the same therapist and was informed that "regrettably" that wasn't an option. Again I re-iterated to the facility prior to enrollment the importance it was for me to have 1 instructor work with my child. And now (a few short months later) my family and I can no longer be accommodated.

I want to protect my child so I can't share much. Just know that after years of suffering they finally seem to be turning a corner. A good one. I see my baby again. I was afraid they were gone forever. Tips: day 1 brain scan is after putting the brain into an agitated state. I don't know why the clinic doesn't do some kind of relaxation exercise after but we had a rough night. I suggest taking 15 minutes to calm yours/your lived one's mind before going about your day. It's a simple exercise and seems like it should be harmless but they are putting your brain into an agitated state for the scan. It works.

I asked multiple times if I should stop they answered, "no just all stimulants. I don't know if anyone knows that supplement but I was able to get off Vyvanse with it (which was great) But considered it a stimulant for me so I stopped it 2 days before the scan. I then couldn't sleep that night and was blow drying my hair and making brownies at 2:30am. I still don't know if I did the right process or not. I know the scans go off of blood flow and I didn't get a good sleep that night so I am not sure. It takes a while to talk to the actual doctor about this but am eager to hear the results and see if I need to update my supplements with them. :)

I did not want to give this 1 star, I had to rate in order to submit my review. When I got home…read morefrom the appointment I wrote everything down to the best of my knowledge. My exhusband and my daughter were present as well. My daughter, who is 16 and is currently seeing a therapist for for some anxiety and OCD issues and possible mild depression. We wanted to see a doctor to evaluate her for a possible medication to help her with some of her symptoms. The pediatrician's office recommended this group. My exhusband and I accompanied my daughter to her appointment and we saw Aleksandar Kondic. Let me start by saying I've been an RN since 1992, my exhusband is a Marine and a Police officer. Dr. Kondic started with explaining the brain, serotonin, Gamma levels. He asked my daughter her age, how she's doing in school, and if she knew what OCD was. He then asked if any one in our immediate family had a history of psych disorders. I said I was on an antidepressant since my mother's passing a couple of years ago. He asked what medication and dose I was taking. I said I was taking Zoloft, 25 mg. His response was, "do you know what a placebo effect is?" I said yes. He said he only orders zoloft at 50-150 mg, and the 25 mg was too low, and I was having a placebo effect with it. I said, no, my doctor started me on 50 mg and I started having tremors, so MY doctor recommended I cut the dose in 1/2, which I did and I felt much better on it. Dr. Kondic said, "the tremors are from your anxiety". All this within the first 10-15 min, and now he is diagnosing me, and has NOT evaluated my daughter yet. He even said, "now I'm not trying to be your doctor, I'm just saying". I was already not feeling right with this doctor after his comments but he has not evaluated my daughter yet, so I wanted to give him a chance. He asked my daughter when she felt most anxious. She shrugged and smiled and said I'm not sure, maybe at school? Dr. Kondic said to me and my husband, this is what I want to do. I want to start her out on Lexapro and Klonopin. Klonopin, 1-2 a day and at night, and Lexapro at night. I immediately said, isn't that a little much? You haven't even evaluated her yet. I said I have taken klonopin and xanax in the past for sleep. And you want her to take 3 a day? He said he wanted to prevent a panic attack, I said she's never had a panic attack, and he said "SHE WILL". I repeated, you have not even evaluated her yet and I think that is a little much, and REPEATED, can't we just start with one medication, like the lexapro, and she how she does? He said "I've been doing this for years and treat 100's of people JUST LIKE HER", and "I know what I'm doing, do I tell you how to do your job?" My exhusband said, she's not trying to tell you to do your job, she is simply saying that sounds like a lot of meds, and I agree, can we start with one medication and see how she does?" Dr. Konic said, of course he'd agree with you, he's your husband. I said, no, we are divorced and he is speaking for himself! Dr Konic,"I know the brain, I know these meds, I'm trying to CURE HER". I said CURE HER FROM WHAT?? You asked her 3 questions, you have not evaluated her, and you want to put her on 3 klonopin a day and a lexapro?? The discussion continued, I don't know why we didn't just get up and leave. It was repetitive w/him saying he knew what he was doing, that we were trying to tell him how to do his job and he would say, "am I telling YOU how to do your job??" My daughter, who is very she, came right out and said, "I don't want to be taking meds from HIM" I said to him, even my daughter does not want to take meds from you. He said, "Of course she is, because she's your daughter!" There was more craziness to this discussion, it was getting heated and I finally stood up and said "this is not happening, this is not clicking, we are leaving. I then said to him, "YOU need to take a klonopin" he responded, "I am taking my klonopin!" and I said, then up your dosage! I know, not very professional or mature, but I had enough of him. This appointment was so unprofessional, bizarre to say the least. All 3 of us felt the same exact way about this appt (rare for ALL 3 of us to ever agree). I do not recommend this practice or this doctor. I feel bad for some parents who just agree with what doctors order, I feel it is not only inappropriate, unsafe prescribing of meds, but dangerous. My 16 yr old daughter on 3 klonopin a day?? She'd be a zombie! If it's what she needed after a thorough evaluation and assessment, I would consider it. He asked her THREE questions. My daughter was sitting in a chair, not behaving or acting any certain way, she was simply SITTING in a chair and she responded to his 3 questions. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR. I am in the process of filing a complaint - this all just happened yesterday at 6:30 pm.

Let me tell you my story. I was researching and trying to find better pediatrician for my son who…read morewas diagnosed with autism. His current pediatrician office is incompetent in the matter and I saw good reviews about Bedrose Pediatrics so I decided to call and check if my sons insurance is accepted. When I called and explained the situation I was rudely stopped with a question what insurance do we have, I explained what kind of insurance we had. Lady confirmed that they accept our insurance however before proceeding with registering and scheduling appointment they need all his records transferred from previous pediatrics and that it can take up to 2-3 weeks. I did request it and waited almost a month. Now I called again and was asked about insurance type my son has I explained everything and was told that they will register him first and than check if they received the records. Upon checking I was asked about insurance he has and when person heard it is PPO she was very enthusiastic about it. Than I was asked if patient has secondary insurance, And yes he does have medicaid but only through state not through insurance company and person was confused, She asked someone about it and than told me they cannot accept my son as he has medicaid as their panel is full. The tone changed immediately on words : Medicaid. So basically I lost a month on this pediatric office just to tell me after a month that they cannot accept my son as he has Medicaid as secondary insurance. But no one asked me that first time. So if you child has medicaid this people will not accept it plus they will speak with you differently. I can tell this office is all about money only, not the kids and their health. Please, Bedrose Pediatrics, teach your stuff to ask this question first time in a row. Thanks to you guys we lost a month and now late with annual check up. As a result my son is left without a doctor and I will have to start looking for different one. I guess if your child has medicaid or all kids , even if it is secondary and even if you child is with special needs this state does not care, doctors of Illinois do not care they will not accept you. Maybe this office has good doctors but their front desk is letting them down with such behavior.

I don't understand the negative reviews - Our experiences with two kids and over five years have…read morealways been decent to great. The office staff seems to be in the upper 1/3 of what I've seen in medical practices- they're all generally nice and they follow through on commitments / get doctors to call back / send forms, etc. The doctors are all pretty good - they encourage rotating docs when you first start so you get to know everyone and then they treat as a practice, not as an individual doctor with their set of patients. As a result, it's a lot easier to get appointments and speak with a doctor. There is one doctor we don't really click with but the rest more than make up for that. The practice does little things that matter - from having extra time for call in hours to producing general OTC drug dosing references for kids that do a better job than label directions at matching dose to weight, etc, this practice is better than others we looked at. In contrast to other reviews, I can't remember me or my wife ever waiting more than a few minutes for a room or to be seen by a doctor once we were in a room -- over five years with two frequently sick kids. Lastly, they've been with us through some tough early years and we felt supported the whole way. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this practice.
