I was dealing with an autoimmune disorder, and for years, I can pledge that she is a very kind, good doctor, with good knowledge. I can see she is also knowledgeable in diet and natural healing. The negative comments are either from competition or people who love to criticize, no matter what. Or have some clinical imbalance. She is very busy, because people like it. Most of her patients have been with her for years. Dr. and her staff are always professional. During the time of COVID-19, I was hospitalized for three days. I realized her office did not accept my new insurance. Dr. Shanchuk, without pay, would take care of me for 3 days to make sure I was in good hands. Just because she was my doctor for so long. My adult son loves her, too. Speaks very highly of her knowledge and professionalism. All this can be verified. So, I have no idea how someone can write bad comments about her. No one asked me to write these comments. I just happened to read all comments, and I could not believe.

You CANNOT find a better doctor than Dr. McKeigue…read more I have been seeing her since I was about 10 years old, and she is so wonderful that we followed her from place to place as she moved practices (but she seems to have settled in with this one for the last few years, so I think she is settled). The reason why we followed her around for years: she's the best. She is kind, knowledgable, and I have never ONCE felt rushed. She is a wonderful person, a caring doctor, and my entire family goes to her. And I later on found out that my in-laws have for years as well! Her nurses are very good as well! Nothing but professional and friendly! The only downside is that the wait time can be a little excessive. But that's because she spends so much time with each patient, so it's totally worth it. You may be annoyed as you're waiting, but you will soon discover that she spends just as much time with you as she does with anyone else. Her office is out of one of the doctor's buildings at St. Alexius Medical Center off of Barrington Road.

I missed my appointment this past weekend because i wasnt well. Forgot to call because i was sleeping almost all day. Called today to apologize and reschedule. They said dr small didnt want to schedule anymore appointments since i didnt show. Then i asked to schedule one for my diabetes and same response was given. What a joke he is. Also when your appointment is at 9 and not seen until 930-945 is ridiculous also. DONT GO HERE. Find a different doctor. I found a new one already thank god just incase i need my insulin filled or something. He's a joke

Only downside for me is the cost of care for tests, or things not covered by insurance. (Check out alternative places, like Bright Light Imaging for CT Scans or imaging). The halls and main spaces are kept clean and in order. I especially appreciate the staff in the Breast Care Center. They are very caring individuals. I also find it is a perk to have a nice Starbuck's in the lobby here too, so you can treat yourself to a hot or iced beverage after an appointment. And, this is your reminder ladies (and men) to practice self care and get checked regularly each year. You matter! And this is a nice place to go when care is needed.

My father, a 78-year-old patient, was brought to this ER following a fall at his rehab facility…read more His medical record clearly documented a tape allergy with a specific notation that tape causes skin tears. Despite this being visible in his chart, staff applied standard adhesive tape to his arm. When the bandage was later removed, it tore his skin open, leaving a wound that was still unhealed ten days later and caused him significant pain for several weeks. This was not an emergency situation. He was there for a head CT and was stable. There was no reason his allergy could not have been checked before tape was applied to his fragile, Prednisone-thinned skin. I filed a formal complaint and received a response acknowledging the issue and stating that staff had been educated on allergy documentation. An apology and a staff training do not undo the unnecessary pain this caused my father. Documented allergies exist for a reason. Patients and families should not have to fight to have them respected.
