I was dealing with an autoimmune disorder, and for years, I can pledge that she is a very kind, good doctor, with good knowledge. I can see she is also knowledgeable in diet and natural healing. The negative comments are either from competition or people who love to criticize, no matter what. Or have some clinical imbalance. She is very busy, because people like it. Most of her patients have been with her for years. Dr. and her staff are always professional. During the time of COVID-19, I was hospitalized for three days. I realized her office did not accept my new insurance. Dr. Shanchuk, without pay, would take care of me for 3 days to make sure I was in good hands. Just because she was my doctor for so long. You CANNOT find a better doctor than Dr. McKeigue…read more I have been seeing her since I was about 10 years old, and she is so wonderful that we followed her from place to place as she moved practices (but she seems to have settled in with this one for the last few years, so I think she is settled). The reason why we followed her around for years: she's the best. She is kind, knowledgable, and I have never ONCE felt rushed. She is a wonderful person, a caring doctor, and my entire family goes to her. And I later on found out that my in-laws have for years as well! Her nurses are very good as well! Nothing but professional and friendly! The only downside is that the wait time can be a little excessive. But that's because she spends so much time with each patient, so it's totally worth it. You may be annoyed as you're waiting, but you will soon discover that she spends just as much time with you as she does with anyone else. Her office is out of one of the doctor's buildings at St. Alexius Medical Center off of Barrington Road.

Also when your appointment is at 9 and not seen until 930-945 is ridiculous also. DONT GO HERE. Find a different doctor. Only downside for me is the cost of care for tests, or things not covered by insurance. (Check out alternative places, like Bright Light Imaging for CT Scans or imaging). The halls and main spaces are kept clean and in order. I especially appreciate the staff in the Breast Care Center. They are very caring individuals. I also find it is a perk to have a nice Starbuck's in the lobby here too, so you can treat yourself to a hot or iced beverage after an appointment. And, this is your reminder ladies (and men) to practice self care and get checked regularly each year. You matter! And this is a nice place to go when care is needed.

My visit was to the lab. I didn't know where to go so, when I entered the building and saw the information desk, I asked. I was pointed to another desk just a little further into the building. When I got to the lab test, they greeted me pleasantly and I gave them the lab orders. They immediately took me back and ran the tests. I had the results from one test that afternoon, and the other required a few days so expect to hear about it next week. They were fast, pleasant, and I thought the quality of service was very good.
