I have been participating in Jackie's Mind Body Moms yoga class for more than 15 year. It has been one of the most precious experiences in my entire life. Jackie is a pioneer in creating a yoga group focused on supporting mothers with children of different ages - from new born babies to adults. This focus on motherhood as an everyday life phenomena makes Jackie's teaching unique and vitally important. Jackie is a very gifted teacher! She integrates gentle yoga practices with profound psychological and spiritual messages. This makes her teaching both deep and powerful. Being a part of Jackie's yoga group has provided me with indefensible support for many years. Jackie's professional talent and her personal qualities as a wonderful human being are incomparable. I am very fortunate to be Jackie's devoted student and her follower. read more

I joined Mind Body Spirit Moms Group after I had my son. I was invited by a good friend of mine to join the group after becoming a new mom. I was very hesitant about it at first, as I knew I would be out of my comfort zone. I decided to give it a try because I knew how important it was for me to receive support and guidance. I had gone through a rough pregnancy and became a new single mom. My life had changed dramatically in one year! I went from being single, going in and out of a relationship then becoming pregnant unexpectedly. I had to prepare for this life change quickly and at the same time, deal with all the relationship and family stress issues, not to mention being pregnant for the first time. In the span of 3 weeks, I had had a baby, moved to a different city, and pretty much discontinued my relationship with my son's father. I was overwhelmed and in retrospect, I am not quite sure how I managed! Jackie and the moms group was highly instrumental during my process of loss, grieving, joy, change, motherhood, and taking better care of myself. I feel that it was such a blessing for me to be apart of this group! I can not tell you how much it has changed my life for the good. Since attending the group regularly for the past 2 1/2 years, I have gained so many skills such as: how to regulate my stress levels, deal with anger, cultivate compassionate, become more forgiving individual, learning parenting techniques that cultivate a loving and present nature, and mostly loving and accepting myself for where I am at. Jackie is like a mortal angel...I always joke around about that, but its true! You don't meet people like her often, so I cherish that my life and my sons life has been touched by her. Because of Jackie and the group, I can honestly say that I am a better mom, friend, partner, daughter, sister, and human being. All of the women in the group are genuine, real, raw, and supportive. The amount of strength I have received from being apart of this group is unmeasurable. Life is tough at times, and Jackie's group is a nourishing and peaceful place where you leave feeling resorted and empowered. If you are a mom that is looking for a group that offers support, meditation, connection, and parenting ideas without all the fake, fluffy, and stuffy junk other moms groups can sometimes be about... then check out the Mind Body Spirit Moms Group, it's BAD ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I recently attended this self compassion Mother's Day workshop presented by Jackie and her team I must say that the experience was very helpful, the energy cslm and they are able to create a really safe and loving community of like-minded women. No judgment, no ego, a great learning experience. Loved it read more

A few weeks ago I returned from the Yoga, Mindfulness, and Surf retreat that Jackie hosted in Costa Rica. It was absolutely a highlight of my life. I have never felt so energize and at peace. I can not recommend this gift to yourself enough! As busy (often crazed) moms (or dads) we need to take time like this to ourselves so we can fully support our family. Upon seeing my family and returning to "normal" life, I feel like a much more balanced, healthy and patient individual. I have changed for the better and I am so grateful for this experience. read more

I took a class at Stanford three years ago, and Jackie was the instructor. She didn't just teach us Yoga poses. She also taught all the mamas in the group of important positive values for life, such as sense of self-worth, empowerment, and going with the flow of life. There were moments in the class that we all were in tears hearing about the stories of each of the mama in the group, and we held each other's hands tight throughout the course to support one another. It was a very inspirational experience, and it definitely gave me the foundation and spirit how to take on the challenges as a working mom of a young child. Thank you, Jackie, for the life-changing experience. I am so sorry the review got here so late! But I need to tell the world how great your classes are! :) read more

It is a true blessing to be able to find a community of caring women to be able to share your struggles and triumphs with and feel connected to on our path to becoming better parents. I am grateful to Jackie for the love and caring she gives in support of our journey and the wisdom she shares with us is invaluable! read more

It was an absolute pleasure to participate in the Summer Women's Retreat with Jalene and Krassi this June. It was my first time meeting Jalene, and I was very impressed with her grounding presence and ability to guide us deeply into questioning what really nourishes our soul. Krassi is a consistently wonderful teacher who not only taught a relaxing yoga class, but also facilitated the deep discussions among the women. I am eager to join the group again in the Fall! read more

I participated in a Weekend Mother's Retreat lead by Jaclyn and Jalene this spring. I expected a pampering, spa-like experience.. but it was so much more. This retreat was nourishment for my mind, body and soul. I came home feeling calm and centered. I met wonderful women whom I felt connected to, even in our short time together. I have new tools to pull from that will help me continue taking care of myself.. The food prepared by Alison was delicious as well.. she was great about accommodating my gluten and dairy free diet. Thank you, ladies! read more

I joined Mind Body Spirit Moms over a year ago. I was having a difficult time finding other moms to connect with and get the support I needed. Jackie has a calm, inviting, gentle and playful spirit. She is masterful at creating a safe space where I can just be myself, without feeling judged. I've gained parenting tools, a mindfulness practice, self-love and nurturing that I didn't know I was missing, and each week's theme always seems to be perfect for what I'm experiencing in my life. I feel incredibly grateful for this group, every mom needs her village. With this group, there's ease and a readiness from everyone to support me when I need them. Thank you Jackie for creating a safe and healthy container where us moms can fill ourselves up with love, acceptance, support, and authenticity. read more

I am so grateful that I found MBSM. This groups helped me reconnect with my husband and become a more attuned and present mom to my son. I'm in my second session and I will continue to join when I can because this group is so important to being a strong happy and present mom, wife, and general person. The format of MBSM is not just a sit around and chat about the latest baby issues. Actually this sort of group has a great place in the life of a new mom, but MBSM is much more a place to develop mindfulness and an inner sense of peace and calm in the face of the challenges of parenting. Jackie does lead our sessions, to everyone's great benefit. Her presence is soothing and wise and soulful. Each class has a theme, perhaps responding to big emotions with mindfulness, or bringing our our inner playful spirit, or self care, and this theme is woven through a gentle yoga and meditation practice. Each class contains a place for moms to share and connect. The women in the circle are so warm and welcoming. Even when I was brand new to the group, they invited me in. We often will lunch together after class. I would recommend all moms join this group. It's just the best. read more

I took the class at Stanford and Krassi was the instructor. She was really amazing. I loved the yoga part, which is really tuned to the issues that mothers usually have. I also loved the sharing part, which creates a real connection with the other moms. The group helped me deal with some harder times, and I am really grateful for all the support I got. read more

This is my 1st ever review in Yelp. The previous comment made me write mine as I completely disagree with what was said about Jackie or the class. Jackie is the most selfless and caring person I have ever come across. She is a great role model in that she practices what she preaches every step of the way. I have been part of her classes since the time this program began almost 3 years ago. Almost 95% of the Mom's in my circle still attend, a testament to this program and Jackie. I am a working professional and a 1st time mom and this class has changed the way I look at life, relationships and my children. It's priceless! I cannot express the gratitude I feel for Jackie and every single mom in my circle. My only wish is that every single mom on earth will be lucky enough to experience our circle. read more

I wanted to enjoy this group and meet other moms in the community because I have been staying home for the last 16 months with my 15 monthdaughter and was looking to find a good support group and a network of friends with the same interests and hobbies. I already attend another mothers group but was interested in the yoga aspect so I decided to give this group a try. This group is not run anything like my other support groups I am in now or have attended in the past. In my other group the moms do most of the talking and sharing. It is fluid and is shaped by the needs of the moms at that particular time. In the class I attended with this support group I found the facilitator Jackie to be too much and there was not any way for the mothers to connect because of the way she runs the group. She tries hard not to come off as self centered but she seems to do all the talking and interrupted another mother in the class as she was trying to share something which made the whole class feel uncomfortable. I left knowing I had wasted my time in a class that seemed self serving the only person that benefited was Jackie. She acts like she is listening to the other mothers but does not seem open to their suggestions and I am not even sure she is really listening to anyone. If you want to waste your time building up Jackie's ego this class is perfect for you. I would not recommend this group for any moms I know. I wanted to be able to write a good review and came to the class with an open mind and was excited but it was an awful waste of my time. Don't waste the little time you already have moms. read more

I've been following Jackie wherever she goes and I must say that the last experience I had with her was poweful. Additionally, I had the pleasure to know another treasured person: Jalene who co-hosted the Nurturing Mother's Weekend Retreat. It was just magical and a truly transformational experience. I'm grateful for the way they shared their wisdom and created a very safe and open space for us to just be ourselves. Jackie and Jalene put their heart and soul and all what they do and everything they touch becomes lovable. So, if you are looking for a place to meet REAL woman, who will accept YOU as you are and honor your inner beauty and strength, come to Mind Body Moms. I'm sure you will find love surrounding you. read more

I joined Mind Body Spirit Moms when it first started over 3 years ago, and it is something that I try never to miss. I have learned so much: how to be gentle with myself, how to turn back my type A personality, how to set gentle loving limits with my children (I'm not 100% there yet, but at least I am learning an alternative to the rules I grew up with), that it's ok to be vulnerable, that every mom struggles and has a hard time, that every mom has victories and deserves to celebrate and be celebrated. I believe that my participation in the class has enabled me to be a much better mom to my kids, a much better wife to my husband, and a much better person. I am calmer, more centered and focused. I have found the group to be a huge support for me - when I'm celebrating or crying, they are there for me. Without judgment. They help me know that I will be able to work it out. I've gained confidence in myself and my parenting. If you're looking for a community who listens to you, please join. I do wish every mom had as much support. Parenting is a hard enough job, and coming to this class makes it easier. read more
