What a miserable experience. They did so much incorrect on what should have been a simple job that…read moreI am likely leaving something out but you'll get the idea. After having an estimate done for our living room, dining room, stairs and upstairs hallway, we set a date for the installation. On the morning of the installation, they didn't show up. When we called, they said that we didn't pay the entire amount up front (even though we paid the deposit and the order said COD - cash on delivery). They rescheduled for the next day and when the installer arrived, he immediately identified that there was not enough carpet to finish the job. And his work order said nothing about the upstairs. (The installer and his assistant were pleasant, hard-working and efficient.) So we had to reschedule to have the work we requested done, because the owner/manager had mismeasured and/or screwed the order up. That occurred the following weekend. The agreed-upon start time of 9 AM came and went, and the new installers finally showed up in the afternoon. A job that should have been completed sometime on the first Friday didn't get finished until the following weekend, Saturday evening. Carpetland butchered this order from the onset. Thank goodness the contractors were competent.

I haven't even got the job installed and it's ridiculous. Getting flooring for kitchen, bath,…read morelaundry room, I was given 3 different dates for delivery of my flooring. Finally on the third date I called 3 times asking did the flooring come in? Simple question but no they refused to answer that question, they kept saying your on for the 13th. I said I need to know if the flooring is in so we can get things moved out. Still would not answer. I already took out the vanity from the bathroom when they first said 10 days. I have now been without a sink in the bathroom for almost a month. All 3 calls I pushed for an answer and they would just say " I'll check and call you back', not once have they called me back. I wish I could get my money back. I will never ever shop there again. Absolutely miserable experience.

Re-floored an entire house. Total cost was a little over 7 Grand. Once the floors were done, my 3…read moreyear old daughter moved a chair and it scratched the floor. I called Empire (they answer with a simple Hello, which was weird for a business) got a case number and was told they would call me back. 2 weeks went by and I finally called back. They said there was a note in my case. The "scratch Resistant" floors are NOT covered under warranty. It's literally 2 panels that need to be replaced and they won't cover it. The sale rep. also was pushy and lifted up his shirt in front of my wife to wipe some sweat. Not a sleeve wipe, a full on here's my belly/chest wipe. My wife was alone with him at the time and felt very uncomfortable. Buyer beware.

Sales representative Bryan came out and gave a sales pitch on the products. We went with laminated…read moreflooring for the master bedroom and bath, hallway and and bonus room which was suppose to include the hallway half closet and carpeting for our upstairs second and third bedroom and the stairs leading downstairs. Bryan told us that the installers were all Empire employees. What came were all sub-contractors. We paid first half at the time of his visit and he stated they they would run our debit card for the final payment but the funds would not be released until we signed off on all the work. As soon as the debit card was entered the funds came out of our account. The laminated flooring was supposed to be completed in one day, it was not. This was a our upstairs remodel, which Bryan was made aware that we had narrow time lines for the installs to be done. They were also suppose to remove the master bath toilet and bring it into the garage. They removed the toilet and placed it in the second upstairs bath with water in it which can all over the bathroom in which my wife had to clean up since I was away on business. The hall closet was suppose to be laminated flooring. The subcontractors took the old carpeting out but did not install the laminated flooring. When my wife asked about it, they said it was not on their install sheet, when she called the company phone number they told her it was not part of the install, she tried to call Bryan and there was no answer or return phone call. On day 3, the installers for the carpeting came out. Again it was suppose to be done the same day, it was not, they did not bring enough carpeting to finish the job, due to other installed coming in to perform other installs not with this company, our upstairs carpeting had to be put off for a week. I will not make the statement that I will never use this company again but I will state that it will be my last choice in flooring installs.
