The first time the crew came they pour was pretty bad and they were instructed to redo it. The second try was better but they ran out of one stain 1/3 of the way through and used a different stain. Also their pictures online are misleading. They don't clean up the seams between the stamps, so it doesn't looks good. Nor do they make sure the stamps actually take and the grooves are a suitable depth. So most of the groves are super shallow. The aesthetic for the second pour is better but frustrating because it's a premium to stamp it and the work is a C-. The sealant has a lot of bubbles that are pealing. For more general comments, they don't seal up the door so the concrete dust will get inside your house and the water from the power washing will get inside your garage. I spent over 13hrs cleaning up the dust from the house and cleaning out garage after they sprayed water and sandy grit inside it. The water and sand ruined food and it meant my new washer and dryer sat in water for several days until I got home to clean it up. I brought all of this up to them before posting and they offered to pay for the food but not the full damage. Also the crew threw trash in the gravel during construction, which damages the concrete long term, and they left their snack and lunch trash in my yard both times and left nails in the yard afterwards. I have a dog and I didn't appreciate that. They left concrete on my driveway too.

Well constructed and well installed, they were patient and efficient - the gate posts were allowed to set overnight to ensure the gates were solid before installation on the morning of day 2. Universal was very responsive and very helpful in coming to inspect and assess a house. I was purchasing in the Hamilton County area on the roof. The individual they sent I believe his name was. Kyle was very nice and very thorough. He took lots of pictures and gave me lots of very clear communication and explanation. He was very honest as well as far as how good or how bad his findings were. Which was fantastic!! His findings also coincided with the findings of the home inspection report and home inspectors that were also on site. So it's good to know that not only were they looking at the same things, but that they also assessed and concluded similar findings. Unfortunately, I had asked for a report that detailed out the findings that I never received it. I did follow up twice and still never received it. Although this assessment was free of charge that is irrelevant, I was still expecting and promised a report. While they did come with high recommendation, which is why I reached out to this company I would expect that they close the loop with a potential client with the report in the findings so that those estimates can be taken into consideration for actual execution once I close on the house

The repair was not great either. This company lacks integrity and workmanship. Would not use again.

I thought I needed a support beam installed in the basement to provide additional support for the floor joists. So, I contacted Gary Simpson from Simpson Construction to see if he could install a floor support system. Gary came out and immediately noticed that installing a support beam wouldn't solve my problem. Apparently, the builder had moved a few of the floor joists after the subfloor was put down to make room for the toilet drain in the bathroom. This adjustment created the squeaking noise. The builder tried to fix the problem by installing several wooden cross braces to reinforce the now unsupported seams of the subfloor. You can see the cross beams the builder installed in the attached picture. Sadly, the builders shoddy workmanship did not fix the problem. Now I need to fight with the builder to resolve my problem. I sincerely appreciate Gary's expertise and honesty in exposing this situation. I give Simpson Construction a ten star review and highly recommend them to anyone. I will definitely hire Simpson Construction in the future to help with other projects. Gary is a great guy with an outstanding professional standard. We need more people like Gary in this country.
