Food not that much variety for warm food. But the food they do have was great. I don't know why there's so many tip jars never seen so many at a buffet before. Ice cream taste like pure artificial flavors. The decor was gorgeous love the designs. Seating seems very squished in a booth. There was plenty of empty booths but we were put right behind a group of people. Due to vivid I'd think they would put some distance between customers. 2 & 1/2stars The building has been remodeled very nicely, and the buffet is a decent size. Sunday afternoon and this place was a madhouse. The waitlist was a complete mess as people were given numbers and scribbled on a chart that didnt seem to have any organization to it. Several parties got numbers but not added to the list...people getting skipped and others waited an hour before finding out they were skipped...ultimately just giving up. There was about 40 to 50 people waiting however we all observed several tables that had left that remained open and not cleaned off for at least 30 minutes. We even witnessed people who were waiting for a table in the foyer walk back and forth grabbing bites of food during the entire time we were waiting...no one even noticed because it was that chaotic. I'm giving them the benefit of doubt as they were clearly overwhelmed and haven't worked out their kinks yet. Food: okay...lots of options but all tastes so similar. Nothing even stood out, or was anything I went back for seconds for. Sushi bar did have nice options if you are a sushi fan this is where you'd get most for your buck. I however am not. They also ran out of crab crackers, no spoons, no bowls and several food choices were empty the entire time. FYI- Soda cost extra. Staff: most were friendly but overwhelmed and others walked around without concern. Overall I dont think I will go back. But was impressed with the remodel and am glad I got to give it a try. read more

Minado buffet is by far the best Asian buffet in the Yakima valley. We came in on New Year's Day and it appeared to be packed but we were seated right away. My daughters were so excited about sitting right next to the fish tank. Everything was clean and spotless! Our servers were attentive with clearing our dirty plates and refilling waters. I was surprised by the variety of foods available. They had a great dim sum selection with steamed bao and shumei! Also they had my favorite red bean sesame balls which are impossible to find in this area! For that reason I will be back and probably be back frequently! They also have a great selection of sushi. It is fresh and delicious! All of their Chinese options were great- the kung pao and orange chicken had perfect flavor and were not gelatinous or chewy like bad Chinese food can be. They had clams that I stock piled on! (A little gritty tho) there was an egg roll type thing called a Phoenix roll that was so dang good. Crunchy and fresh...the food was just fantastic. To top it all off they gave us a military discount. 2 military adults and 2 kids- 8 and 3 on a weekday for $37. Awesome!!! read more

My entire family got sick after we ate at this buffet. The service was not great & they were not keeping up with clenliness. My son had to grab about 4 plates before he found a clean one. I would not recomend this place. I called to tell them we got sick & the manager told me to e-mail him a doctors note to send to his attorney. I just called to advise so no one else got sick. I took my mother here tonight for dinner. The floors were filthy and the table we were sat at was not clean. Usually the food is pretty "OK", but tonight things were horrible. We both commented on how things did not taste good at all and for the price of $19.99 per person, it was just not worth it. The "sushi" tasted bad, like it had set out for far to long and I hope I don't get sick from it. I also had a staff member reach right across my face to grab an empty plate on the other side of me. She could have stepped to the other side to grab it. She then proceed to stare at me while I signed my receipt, which was very awkward. Very nice place with reasonable prices, $11.99 for lunch and $17.99 for dinner. Food is pretty good with a pretty big selection, a lot better than any other Chinese buffets that have been around yakima. They also have a pretty good selection of sushi, I'm not a fan of sushi but I did try a couple different ones and they were pretty good. They also have a yakisoba bar where you put all your ingredients on your plate and the chef cooks it for you. Customer service was great to. Definitely recommend. read more

So this buffet is pretty great! Good really good and if you want more of a specific item it can be made to order (so long that they are not going to close). Me and my friend and his parents went here to eat... we had food that was sub par quality for premium price and there was even a fight between staff members. Wow, what a surprise! I heard a lot of good things about this place, to include their sushi selection. I must admit, I was a bit skeptical, especially the sushi aspect of it. My first impression was how clean the place was. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I noted that during my visit at the establishment, the staff was busy keeping the restaurant clean and clutter free, especially at the buffet line, where food tends to spill over. The selection of food was great, many items to choose from. The attendants made sure to keep food available. Once my selections were made, I was pleasantly surprised at how well the food tasted. Buffets have that stigma of their food not being fresh. The food was very good. I had to check out their sushi, which looked fresh and very appealing. So, I tried it. I was very, very surprised and happy with the taste and freshness of their sushi selection...a total win over. Our waitress was very attentive and polite. Finally, our check was brought to our table and to my surprise, our bill was much less than I expected. We were at party of two adults and a child, to include three soft drinks...$45. Well worth the service, food and experience. Our experience with this establishment was great and will be added to our regular rotation. Take our options are great. Got C2, 4, 10, and 15. It was actually really good. Yakima doesn't have to many Chinese food options. Minado is by far one of the top. I would definitely order again from them. Portion size was great. Having left overs. The only bummer thing is that it's take out and food just doesn't taste the same when you have to drive a ways and eat at home. Miss it being open (obviously we are still in Covid season). read more

Panda express is seriously alot better and I would pick it anyday over this place, people please save your money! My family and I went yesterday they charged me for my one year old! I couldn't believe it, he is 1 year old!!! My 8 year old was charged like $12 my 6 year old was charged $10, my 11 year old was charged the same as an adult! Food is not worth it and doesnt look very appealing. At first glance yes it looks good and than you look again but it's not and when you sit down to eat you can taste the food is not very good! Save your money and just go somewhere else, new teriyaki is pricey but definitely worth the money but not this place. They charged me a service fee and they still hassle you for a tip! I could use some bolder flavors but I don't think the Yakima palate can handle it. Went at the end of lunch rush and everything was fresh and hot. Got full too fast, barely tried a tenth of what was there. Seemed smaller in there than when it was a maze of those cave-like booths at the BA. Hard to beat it for Chinese food. But what alternative is there here in Yakima? Take-out might get pricey since it's weighed by the pound so I'll have to see I guess. I'll go back. The food was basic. Not at all what I thought it would be. The only people who actually love this food is simple taste bud people. The chicken is dry and super chewy. The beef was super chewy as well. Not only that but we were greater by some racist fucking Asian dude that assumed my family only spoke Spanish. I get that it's cool to speak Spanish to strangers you think only speak Spanish, but to keep doing it after we have spoken perfect English to you and you keep on doing that is just insulting.
