This place is a hidden gem! My husband had come here when he went to school at UCSD and wanted to come, so we came with friends. The food was pretty good, but the service was meh. Decent place to get food in a large group before heading to KTV, or maybe try their onsite KTV. Portions are big and priced accordingly, and there's ample seating for bigger parties. HH lasts until 8 pm daily, and offers discounted beers and sojus. For our party of 6, food arrived quickly, but unfortunately the waiter forgot to bring some drinks and one main dish order. I liked the sweet chili shrimp, though it needed more spice. I'm leaving this review very late. But I came here last year in May with a group of friends. They had a small parking lot in front but luckily we were able to find parking. There were 6 of us and we were able to get seated right away. For Korean food you expect to pay the standard prices and share family style. The food is actually so good here. We ordered bulgogi fries, stir fried pork, bossam (sliced pork lettuce wraps), spicy chicken wings, and got two soju pitchers (Area 51 & the Hentai which was a secret menu item). They are known for their flavored soju. They have so many different flavors of soju with lots of options. The quality of the meat was super juicy. The cabbages and radish were so refreshing too. Surprisingly, we were super full after all the food for 6 of us. This is my friend's favorite restaurant and comes here all the time. He said the small intestines was very good which is what I want to get next time. I definitely want to come back to try other dishes and I recommend others to come here. Between 3 people we had a lot of left overs. The japchae was one of the highlights of the meal as they were well seasoned and not too greasy as that's been an issue at other restaurants. The bulgogi wings are good, tasty, sticky, and enough we had about half left. The potstickers weren't anything amazing. Incredible large where I just had to hold it with me hand and sauce to dip was lacking compared to others. Bibimbap is a massive serving! There was plenty to go around and to also take to go. We did get an order of the soft tofu soup and while it is seafood it is an overwhelming taste and smell of it. So much it kind of was inedible which is unfortunate of the cost and size to waste. Overall a big area this is offers karaoke rooms which aren't as sound proof as I would've expected. Stopped by this restaurant late on a Sunday night. It was my first time. The small sides weren't the best. Actually a little skimpy. The best part of Korean cuisine is the small sides they provide. I will say I was surprised that it was pay to park in the lot although they give you complimentary 2 hours if you eat at one of the restaurants. The restaurant looked just as I remembered it and was quite empty at 6pm on a weekday. For the menu, they had a pretty good variety and was nice that it was happy hour (drinks only). I like to try the seafood pajeon whenever I go to a Korean restaurant and thought this one was rather large and thick and the seafood tasted fresh. The other item I ordered was the Budae jeongol aka army stew hot pot since I like all of the different ingredients that are in it and it's generally pretty large. And large it was indeed with a few different things like spam, hot dog, mushrooms and noodles. Generally I liked it but it was on the soupier side and it did not compare to the budae jeongol in Korea (yes, I know that this is America). Some friends wanted to come here, so we all met up at the restaurant. My wife and I were the first ones to arrive, around 6:35 p.m., and we were promptly seated. They quickly brought us drinks, and we were able to order some appetizers while we waited for the rest of our party. And that's when the service started to drop off. They stopped coming by as often--even though there are buttons to call them over when needed. This place serves more of a family-style menu, so everything comes in large portions, and there's no option for smaller servings. All the appetizers were huge. We got the calamari and the sweet chili shrimp. In my opinion, the shrimp was the best thing we ordered all night. Throughout dinner, we also tried a few other items: corn cheese, bibimbap rice, kimchi jungol, and a few others that I honestly can't remember--because the food just wasn't that memorable. The seating was uncomfortable, the restaurant was dark, and the waiter kept forgetting things here and there. On the plus side, the music was on point. When running things to our table, they wouldnt even give the chance for our party to ask for what was needed. Drop and run situation. (Horrible service) especially when its not busy . At all. Then following all this, our server got our entire order wrong.. Being industry we understand the system, so having to do this just feels right. People that work in the industry need to be addressed when they are in the wrong and that wont happen unless someone says something. 12AM Spontaneous dining times - It was my second time ever dining here and personally I thoroughly enjoyed the vibes of the restaurant, the food, and the service. Seating was fast, ordering process was easy and service (with the help of the table button) was incredibly fast, efficient and timely. Items came out fast and though the food didn't stand out in an extraordinary way, it was delicious staple foods. Some of the best beef bulgogi I've had! This time I ordered it in the hot stone, so that it came with rice, and it was delicious. The Kimchi soup was just okay, probably wouldn't order it again. There was a lot of kimchi in it, but not enough meat. So it felt like it was missing something. The soju here is always a must have, and you can mix multiple flavors. The 4 banchan we received were a good indicator of our meal to come. I don't think I've ever been to a Korean restaurant that didn't serve classic Napa kimchi. It was a cucumber kimchi here. The mashed potato w/ corn was bland and the corn tasted and felt old. Then there was sliced hotdogs in a chili sauce. Odd choice of banchan but even then - none were good. The soft tofu soup - I realize it describes seafood in it on the menu. But it smelled and tasted so overly fishy and the seafood that was in it - it was a bunch of small low quality mixed seafood that looked and tasted like it came out of a frozen value pack bag. Never have I ever had a tofu soup I didn't enjoy...until this. The bulgogi - never have I ever had a dry & tough bulgogi but we got to experience that here. Service was good. Hubs and I generally don't go to a place more than once, but we have come back many times and have brought our friends with us on different occasions. They have all enjoyed it! A go to is always the japchae which is always tasty. The bulgogi comes out steaming and is perfect with steamed rice. The banchan (side dishes) go well with the entrees as well. The fried dumplings had a good amount of meat inside which was a nice surprise (simply because this doesn't always happen). The ambiance makes it feel like I'm back in Korea. We were there around 5:30p on a Sunday most recently and our friends were a bit surprised that they were playing louder edm music. Their mango soju is a bit sweeter, but I appreciate that they use rice based soju and not vodka based soju like a lot of other places on convoy. TDLR: Went here for a friends 24th birthday celebration and they served her a shot that was lit on fire that caused at least a second degree burn to her finger and the staff and Manager Chris did NOTHING not even a sorry... A group of me and my girlfriends went here to celebrate a birthday. We've been here once a year ago before, the food is expensive, the drinks are decently priced (delicious soju!!) and to rent a karaoke room it's around $60 an hour. We enjoyed our time last year for the most part, it was definitely noticeable last year that the staff was a bit cold and rude but even with that first impression it was quite unfathomable how they handled our dining experience on Friday night when someone got a burn from THEIR negligence and mistake. A night we were supposed to be having a blast and celebrating! As we got situated in the room we let them know we had a birthday in the house and were very excited to start singing. We put in our food and drink orders and they told me the birthday girl they do a birthday shot. They brought her a CLEARLY overfilled shot. Then they proceeded to light it on fire with no caution or clear warning on how to handle this beverage on fire. The birthday gal picked up the shot and of course it spills on her hand, the side of the glass, and the table which in turn caught it on fire! Me and my friends were recording this obviously to sing her happy birthday so we have many shots of her literally holding a glass that is on fire (I will attach to this review) after we blew it out the waiter says all snarky "I told you to blow it out BEFORE picking it up... the F***?" like wow. Whoever the owner is really needs to do something hospitality training because cursing at a customer that didn't know any better because you guys weren't VERY CLEAR about how to handle this shot on fire? This was very upsetting but we brushed it off and wanted to enjoy the rest of our evening. When it was getting close to our second rented hour of the kareoke room we were gonna extend into a third hour. Around this time the birthday girl says her fingers starting to really hurt and we take a look at her middle finger and there's a HUGE blister and the tip is all red (also attached picture below). We were shocked as we didn't realize how bad she got burned at the time of the incident. We went and got a waiter to alert them of this and he was just like "oh wow". Didn't ask if she was okay, didnt get a manager involved, didn't offer any sort of compensation for literally causing burn damage to a customer. Instead he comes back with burn spray and a rubber finger cover (over half the party attending works in the medical field so this was just pathetic) We really wanted to continue our night and do another hour but the way that was handled was such an awful stressful experience. There was NO sense of remorse or care that she was hurt when we chose this place specifically to celebrate her birthday! One of the girls went to speak to that manager about it finally as he couldn't be bothered to check in on us on his own accord. CHRIS was extremely rude and dismissive when we were talking about the situation and literally says "ok so do you need anything else?" so we cancelled our third scheduled hour and left. I did leave my name and phone number saying "the boss" would be getting a phone call from me that night but it was still my friends birthday and I wasn't going to let it ruin the rest of the night. The next afternoon they actually left a voicemail offering to speak with the boss. When I called back I was told he wouldn't be in until midnight, so I waited even until 12:15am to try and was told it was going to be another 30-45 minutes. Im not going to stay up till 1 am to sort out an issue that was the restaurants fault and since they have not attempted to reach me again. $350 with no tip (you guys are insane if you think i'm paying EXTRA to the wait staff when they behave like this)for 2 hours in a karaoke room with mediocre food and a second degree burned finger...I gave them the weekend to smooth things over as I understand sometimes you drop the ball but I'm tired of trying to get someone to care about this situation and just decided to dispute it with my credit card company with the PLENTY of evidence that I have. read more

Reserved a private karaoke room for our friends and i. There was a total of about 10 people and we all sat in there pretty comfortably. You can press the button to call a server to order food and drinks. There's a giant book of songs and it even includes songs in different languages too, not just korean and english. The servers are supposed to teach you how to use the karaoke machine, but we had to call someone back in to teach us since they forgot. We ordered the galbi, chicken wings, popcorn chicken, bulgogi fries, lychee soju and some mixed soju. Alien and blue raspberry soju were sold out that night unfortunately. Some of my favorite go to karaoke songs were not available, but overall i had a good time with my friends and the food was delicious! My favorite is probably the galbi or bulgogi fries. read more
