We take our two dogs to the Dickson Animal Clinic for their Doctor Visits and for their boarding,…read morewell, recently we had kind of a not so good experience with a groomer, and this really made an impression on me. So, I called Dickson, and got our girls in. Now Blondie, She is a Cairn Terrier, Doxi, Lhasa mixed breed,(I know right?) and Bella is a Shih Tzu, and also only 2 years old until January. We don't know exactly how old Blondie is, we rescued her fully grown but young. Anyhow, so the baby, Bella, looked like one of the grouchy old men from the old Muppet Show, the ones in the balcony heckling. The groomer at Dixon not only fixed her face, she made her so adorable, and her big sister...Oh my goodness!! They are both so precious looking right now, and they smell so clean, not heavily perfumed. Their ears are free of hair paws are trimmed and filed and I am positive that their glands were done. I have put with this before and after photos... With their "opinions" they each have their own personality.

My cat Zeus had been diagnosed with diabetes and the veterinarian here prescribed Senvelgo as the…read moretreatment. As a layperson, I was not aware that Senvelgo is a high-risk medication that comes with a black-box warning from the FDA. Cats who take this medication are at high risk for developing diabetic ketoacidosis, which can be fatal. Sure enough, my cat developed it and had to be taken to a local specialty emergency hospital, where he remained for 12 days while they tried to save his life. By the 12th day, we came to the conclusion that the treatment was not working, so we brought him home. We spent over $14k at the specialty hospital in an attempt to save his life. We had him for one night so we could say goodbye, and the next morning, we had a veterinarian come to the house for euthanasia. The veterinarian at Dickson, Dr Ashley Whitesell, is the one who prescribed Senvelgo for my cat. She did not present any other options for treatment and pushed this medication as being the "best choice" for my cat. She also downplayed the high-risk nature of the medication. As a layperson, I did not know any better and took her word for it. The end result is that my cat ended up dead because of Dr Whitesell prescribed a highly dangerous medication and did not adequately warn me of the possible side effects, nor did she offer any other treatment options. I will never go back to this clinic ever again, nor will I ever recommend this clinic to anyone. As a side note, the clinic was made aware that Zeus passed away, and not once did I ever hear from Dr Whitesell. No phone call offering condolences, no email, nothing. She knew she screwed up and was too cowardly to face me. Run free, Zeus. My little BFF cat. We miss you.

I knew she was magical when my little nervous nelly started to get soo excited to go to daycare that as soon as we'd pull in the drive way he'd go wild trying to get in the door faster. I had a truly horrific boarding and training experience with my new puppy at a place in Charlotte recently, and I just can't say enough how every experience I ever had here at bubbles & bows was exceptional. It may be an hour away from me now, but I will never leave my babies anywhere else in the future.

They go above and beyond to make sure my girl has the best experience every time she goes! They are constantly taking photos to keep me updated, and give me great feedback when I pick her up to let me know how her day went! This past summer was my dog's first time swimming. They taught her to not only swim like a pro, but she also learned to dive, and go underwater! I am able to relax at work knowing that my fur baby is well taken care of, each and every time she goes to play with her friends!! I couldn't say enough great things - best thing I ever did for my sweet girl!

I try to cut out any that I find. My dog is well cared for. Anyway, I received a call from the groomer. She said they would not be able to get him dried if they gave him a bath. I took him in at 8:30 A.M. She said he had difficulty standing. (Of course he does, he is a large breed and gets tired.)She said she was able to shave him, mostly on the floor. (I've seen videos of other groomers doing that.) Essentially, they did not want to continue with him. She even shaved his tail!!! My dog's beautiful, fluffy tail looks like an extra appendage! You don't shave a dog's tail.! There are long tufts of fur that were missed and the shaving was uneven. I went to pick him up and they charged $250!!!! They charged double what I would have expected for a complete grooming package. This was an incompetent, lazy, incomplete job. Then, I was asked if I wanted to leave a tip! (Incredulous!!) Anyone that operates a business needs to learn that, they do not "work for themselves;they work for the people paying them, ie., the customers. The facility was also rather offensive with odor as soon as I walked through the door. (I've been to other groomers and have never been met with bad odors, especially upon entry.) Perhaps, of you have a small pet, the experience may be fine. Otherwise, stay away from Bubbles Bath and Beyond.
