Again I decided to go to this place because it was a last minute decision. I knew I didn't care for this place from before but I thought it's only a pedicure and I had a event that night. I was going to wear boots but I changed my mind last minute and wore open toes. So I called and they got me in as soon as I was to show up. Within one week one of my toe nail polish completely fell off (gel) I thought that was odd since gel isn't supposed to fall off like this. This is why it's more expensive. Then 3 days after this two more fell off. I found the piece's in my bed. This isn't supposed to happen. I paid $55 for gel and I should have just gotten regular nail polish. What a huge rip off. So I have had a bad experience here before but decided I would give them another try. I called and was asked to be there at 1:45 then I get a txt saying 1:30 appointment cancelled to show up earlier so I did. I sat down chose a color and waited for Mimi to be done with her client, she finishes already 15 minutes into my appointment and I thought I was next, nope there was another girl sitting waiting for her nails to be finished so she sits at Mimi's desk, mind u we are now about 30 minutes into my appointment, I see she's doing all kinds of designs in every nail. I got up and left, I said Mimi I'm leaving and all she said is are you sure? Yes I'm sure. WTH they don't care about their clients. This is the same issue I had years ago and that's why I didn't return. The wait for an "appointment" is horrible and then she adds things to your nails with out asking and charges you for it. She does a good job but the place is dirty and they need to better manage their time. Don't ask me to be there early when you are already behind. read more

I had been coming here every two weeks for new sets the last three months. This last time I came I got simple and short acrylics. I was made fun of by the nail tech Lyly and was told "next time I see you come in I know not to help you, cause I won't make no money off you," because I didn't want to have any extra things done. The work I got was not what I wanted and I was made uncomfortable after the continuous pushing for me to get longer nails with more things added the whole time I there. The previous set I got was longer with designs was cheaper compared to the short set with no design. Felt up charged for the service and embarrassed from the comments made towards me. read more

This place is crazy! I went with some friends to get mani/pedis. They push for you to get the deluxe package even after you tell them no thank you. I got French tip (white tip). The girl who did my toes didn't speak English so she didn't understand what I was saying to her at all. Mimi had to keep translating to her what I was saying. I decided to get my nails done and she burnt me with the drill because it was going way to fast. Now I'm home looking at my toes and the lines are so off! I just paid $91 to get my toes done and my nails done. My finger is sore to the touch because of the burn and there was no massage done to my legs because someone else was waiting. Never again. Update: I swore I would never go back to this place but a month later and my nails were still hanging on and not lifting. So against my better judgement I went back and Mimi did my nails. They look good and the conversation with her was great! When I go back I will only go to her! The product is great! So I'm changing my original 1 star to 4's. read more

I went in to take off my acrylic nails. I'm not sure on the name of the lady who helped me (she sits in the very last stand to the left) she was working on two clients at the same time going back and forth with myself and someone else. At one point I sat with my fingers soaking in pure acetone for about 15mins straight, my shoulders started feeling sore for having to maintain the same position with my hands. She "took off" acrylic and did not cut my grown out brittle nails. Mimi (owner) had to offer to cut them. She sat me back down, cut my nails, and was still taking off some acrylic the First Lady missed. I wasn't rude to her, as she's pregnant and sure she was tired, but that also shouldn't be an excuse for the bad service. :/ I believe in second chances so I might go back for a pedi or manicure with someone 8-26-19 This is an update review. Mimi was nice to give me a late apt. Even if she was busy. The lady who did my nails did a great job, she made my nails thin and matched the color just as I requested. I felt a little uncomfortable asking for shorter nails because every time I asked it seemed to bother her, she told me "I already cut them 3 times for you". I've come here several times, and for the most part they've been great. Been able to get me in for last minute appointments, they're clean and efficient, a good amount of the techs try to actually get to know you. They have a great color selection, including cat eye and chrome polishes for their gels. Docked one star because when I went about a month ago, the girl doing my nails kept making comments about how short my natural nails were and that they were hard to work with. I am a chronic nail biter, and the only way I won't bite my nails is if I have acrylics. I understand that having short, stubby nails is hard to work with, as would most nail biters. And I didn't have acrylics on for about a month because I didn't have time to go, so back to biting I went... She kept going on and on about it, which made me not enjoy my experience like I usually do. The nails also all lifted off within a week, something that rarely happens to me. I wish I would have gotten her name, so I can avoid her in the future. That being said, I will be coming back as they for the most part do quality work and I'm not concerned that I'll get an infection from their tools, which is worth the drive from Patterson. I heard wonderful things about Mimi's and that still holds truth. I received a wonderful pedicure and an awesome new acrylic set. Everyone was very friendly and the prices were comparable to the rest. However, I could never recommend the shop to friends and family because it is a mess. I could not stop looking at the dust and dirt and stuff absolutely everywhere. It would make a world of difference if the owner would put in a couple hundred dollars and a day to organize. I want to go back, but unfortunately, due to the lack cleanliness, I will not be going back or suggesting this shop to anyone. If the shop looks like it does, are the tools clean? read more

My appointment was 45 minutes ago and they just started my pedicure. This is the third time I have called ahead and they still had me wait. If she would say sorry it's gonna be a few minutes we're running behind I would understand. But each time the owner has me sit down and wait around in the chair. I don't usually go to Mimi's but I was looking to get eyelash extensions for my birthday on march 11, she applied them and they were beautiful for the first day or two and then I started losing lashes, I went back on on Wednesday to fill them in. I was told they would last 2-3 weeks, maybe a couple days after the fill I was losing more. And the ones she had replaced were all clumped with glue. I did not rub my eyes, did not put product on my eyes. They got wet a couple times in the bath but not completely. I was not instructed on proper care for them. This was my first time getting them done. By march 22 all of my lashes were off. And not surprisingly my natural lashes are thinned out a bit. I do not recommend Mimi's for eye lash extensions. read more

I would like to give this place no stars, but that is not an option. I had a pedicure done by a guy, who didnt clean the nail. He didnt bother to cut the cuticle or shape the nail in order to give my pedicure a polished and clean outcome. He didnt paint the nail all the way, and when I pointed that out, one if the ladies said..."oh shes got good eye sight", really!!! The lady who did my manicure also didnt clean the cuticles the polish was sloppy and its coming off. Mind you is hasn't even been a week since I got the service done. Both pedicure and manicure were rushed and he work sloppy, sloppy, sloppy!!! I would not recommend this place, as a matter of fact I'm surprised its has good ratings??? read more
