I requested a simple French tip design, but she struggled to execute it and kept attempting other designs I didn't ask for. When I asked to just clean up the shape and use colored acrylic instead, my request was not properly followed. Second time going to this salon. I got a full set and a pedicure. Mindy is awesome! She did an amazing job in my set and recommended a color that goes very well with my skin tone. Jimmy did a great job on my toes although he was a little rough and made one of my toes bleed a little. He did apologize and quickly applied alcohol to my toe. Overall, it was a great experience. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and they keep the salon pretty clean. I appreciate their use of liners for the pedicure chairs. Their prices are very affordable especially after being used to Bay Area prices. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town. I generally have a great time & experience here. Sam & Mindy are absolutely amazing. I recently started getting pedicures with Amy. I called earlier today to make an appointment with her. I arrived 10 minutes before, as I like to respect others time. As I sit down I can see she took a walk in or double booked herself because she was applying powder on someone's nails. She asked me if I could come back later. I told her respectfully that my appointment is at 3:30pm again she asked if I could return, not once did she apologize or ask if another tech could do my pedicure. Horrible experience, and a painful one . I have a medical condition that causes my nails to split and they are thin I need an acid tone soak to remove tips . Ken the nail tech basically told me what I wanted . Everything from me wanting a soak for my nails, I asked three times he no my acrylics were to old . He pealed my full acrylics off and it hurt I jumped out of my chair . I even apologized for my sensitivity and pain .Even the shape I wanted. I showed a picture of the shape and color I wanted. No to the color don't have it . I even wanted to look at one of the Hand models on the display that I was interested in . I wanted to try something different . No to that I asked him that twice about that he ignored me . He wanted me to do a cats eye polish for an extra 5 dollars. I agreed To do the Cats eye proceeds shapes my nails a coffin shape when I wanted round square. Placing my tips on crooked one Finger He did over still crooked Proceeded to gas light me that it wasn't . He told me I was being hard and difficult. I knew I was in trouble when he was shaving the excess acrylic and My nail bed was burning . I didn't yell or cause any scene . At that point he wanted to paint My nails I stopped the appointment And paid him . I wasn't about to leave with three crooked coffin cat eye nails . To make sure I want crazy I asked 3 different people at petco . ( I picked up some dog food ) nope not crazy !!! I ended up going to a amazing nail salon that would Seen me last minute . They soaked my hands in acid tone bath to get his tops off . Unfortunately, there was damage was done to my now thin bleeding nails . Luckily I am in great hands now with a different salon . I did call the manager to get my money back he said it would be easier to dispute the charge with the bank . Now to Ken the Nail Tech at diamond , I don't know if you were wanting to over charge or just being lazy . I wanted to inform you . Diamond nail salon charges an extra 15.00 for an acid-tone soak . The style on that hand model I was wanting to try more than 50.00 And I usually tip between 10.00 to 20.00 always . So I have to believe you were being lazy and in a rush from pealing my full acrylics off to wanting it done your way that is you got upset it was taking to long . I use to love this place , I don't have any problem with my nails or pedicure, but yesterday me and my daughter had the worst customer service experience, my daughter had couple piercings in her face and her make up is a little different, but she looks beautiful, they start making fun of her make up saying things in English and in his own language, getting the attention of the other employees, and when they were doing her pedicure , this lady has the audacity to call another of the ppl who work there and looking at my daughter and laughing and talking in their own language, I found all this all wrong , all this happened when I was doing my nails , as soon I went to the back they realize that she was my daughter I'm a faithful client to this place , and they start to compliment my daughter I notice something was going on until my daughter break and tears and told me in front of them what happened, I talk with Mia and I express myself, for sure I'm not coming back to this place and I found so disrespectful what they did . I would rate this experience zero stars if possible. I left my appointment feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable. As someone with hyperhidrosis, I was already self-conscious, but the male nail technician SAM made multiple remarks about my hands sweating, even after I apologized, and repeatedly commented on how he could "tell I hadn't done my nails in a long time." He frequently shook his head and appeared irritated throughout the service. Even if he was having a bad day, that is no excuse to take it out on a client. When he missed a spot on my nail, I politely asked him to fix it since I'm paying for the service, but he blamed me despite it clearly not being my fault. The lack of professionalism and respect was unacceptable, and I would not recommend this salon. read more

As it has already been brought to attention, I would like to speak my side of the story. I came to Diamond Nail Salon on Friday to get my nails removed and my pedicure redone. I had been to this salon before, and had enjoyed it. I had gotten great service, and I felt happy about everything. This changed on Friday. While my mom was getting her nails done by Sam, I sat in the chair next to her. I was waiting for someone to come remove my nails, completely minding my own business. This is when Sam pointed out the shape of my eyebrows. He made a gesture that showed that my eyebrows were very arched. I sensed that he was judging me, so to redirect the conversation, I told him that I shave my eyebrows off and redraw them like that. He then asked if I had a boyfriend, to which I said yes. Sam then said that he "felt bad for my boyfriend". In what world is that okay to say to a client? I am aware that I do not look like the average person. I have colored hair, piercings, heavy makeup and fake eyebrows. I am happy with the way I look, obviously! If I wasn't, I wouldn't look this way. And by the way Sam, my boyfriend loves me and the way I look very much. At this point, I had decided I would not come to this nail salon any more. I could not believe the audacity for Sam to insult me in public, in front of everyone, in front of my own mother. How comfortable do you have to be to do such a thing? I thought that this would be the end of it, but it was not. Mia took my nails off with no issue, to which I am thankful. I then was called to get my pedicure done. A woman took me to a chair, and then turned the water on. Although this was not her fault, the hose was facing me and I got sprayed with water. She apologized and I said that it was completely okay. I then got in the chair, and felt that the water bath was very hot, but I did not want to say anything because I did not want to bother her. She then begins my pedicure. I was looking around at the salon because I do not like constantly being on my phone. As I was looking around, I notice that the woman who was doing my pedicure kept looking at me. She would look down at my feet, then stare right up at me. I thought this was weird and it made me uncomfortable, so I looked away. I then noticed that she called over an older gentleman employee, said something to him, and then gestured at me. The gentleman then proceeded to look at me, and laugh. I did not understand what these two employees said to each other, but it doesn't take a genius to understand that they were obviously talking in regards of me. I felt very sad afterwards, realizing that I had now been practically insulted two separate times by the workers at this nail salon. I texted my mother that I did not want to come here again. I tried to keep my composure, but I could not and I wound up bursting into tears. The woman then tried to console me, Mia also tried but I was done with it. I wanted to leave. The thing that hurts me is that I bit my tongue when my pedicurist sprayed me with water and left the temperature of the water too high. I did not complain because I did not want to be rude or disrespectful. I did not get the same back. Instead, I was disrespected and insulted here at Diamond Nails Salon. And this whole situation hurts my heart dearly. No, I do not feel insecure--the words of these employees do not hurt me. What hurts is the blatant lack of respect to the people who pay money to be serviced. We pay for the labor of the employees at the establishment, and in return we expect to be serviced and cared for. This was not the case for me. I am not writing this review to bash this business. I truly had no issue with this establishment before Friday, but this needed to be brought to light. To Sam and Mia, I see the messages you are sending my mother. Even though you both are insisting that the pedicurist did not insult me, you two are completely ignoring the disrespect I got from Sam--the owner of Diamond Nails. What image are you creating for your company? I hope you are able to realize your mistakes, and learn to be kinder to the people who are paying you and keeping your business open. The experience was good. The service was good I got a gel.manicure and pedicure I normally go to San Jose but I wanna try to find a place in town for nails. Anyway after getting my gel manicure the second day I started to see cracks and notice the layer of gel was actually pretty thin and some of the corners were getting caught on stuff. I get gel because my nails break easily and gel usually makes it harder to crack and break. So I will be looking for a better manicure place. read more

Horrible Experience! Never felt so uncomfortable Let me explain to you guys how my day was ruined by the owner. He was a guy who did my nails when I first got there. He first told me to sit and wait super rude I already have social anxiety so for me to walk in and already feel uncomfortable was thr first red flag he attended me and started to talk about things like if I had a boyfriend which I felt is none of his business if he has a wife! He even kept telling me he loved me, which made me feel very uncomfortable I'm only 18! I asked him for a very simple set one color short acrylic set he proceeds to say how long they were once he said they were long and I knew they were so short I knew he was just trying to take stop my money. He honestly ruined my day and I would never go back. I haven't been to this fave place of mine in 1yr plus due to COVID, because I wanted to make sure that they were following COVID protocols for salons, and I'm pretty happy with my service today! I set up an appointment for a gel mani at 9:30 am online. When I arrived before my appointment, the place was already full, so I highly suggest going in earlier, regardless if you have an appointment or not Inside the salon, there are signs on the floor to signify where you can stand once you walk in, but the chairs are not as spread out as I'd hoped, but change can happen! There are plastic dividers at the manicure stations. The nail tech that took care of me followed all safety protocols- I saw her open my own nail care kit from an unopened bag (and they even did this prior to COVID). The man who was goIng to do my nails if F@cking Rude!!!! So here is the run down on how much he wanted to charge me for a fill: $30 fill, $3 for cutting, $15 additional because I asked to make sure there is no gap between my fill (I hate that!). So he stated that was a cuticle clean up/cut a manicure. He then stopped cutting my nails and suggested I go somewhere else. He then said "I don't know where you go". Today I just wanted a fill and a replacement from a nail that broke off. They normally do my nails well since I love them long. I just can't have them long right now. So I had the lady trim them down due to my job. I normally do a great job but I mainly always get the male or I believe her name was Bridgette I can be wrong. Today it was a different lady on table 5. She had the shape I wanted on the first hand she did but the second hand just turned round. When I pointed that out she lower and made the hand I like round to match the hand I didn't like. It literally felt like she slapped on new acrylic on my old nails, lightly filed and called it a day. I did not tip this time due to the service and the quality of the nails. So I'm going to spend the rest of my night filing and fixing my own nails before I have to go to work tomorrow morning. Only about two times my nails have not been 100% favorable, once it was like a bump and the second time was when the acrylic fell off in one corner of the nail the next day. There have been several times that they don't have the colors I want but it doesn't bother me because they have many options. I get acrilic with gel on my natural nails. The fill costs me about $ 33- $ 35 dllrs but it lasts about a month which is reasonable compared to the price. Pedicures vary in price depending on what you want, they start at $ 25 ... Note: I like it better when a young guy or a man attends me, they are careful and they take their time. Also, I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes maybe I'm just lucky, and they always have customers. read more
