"Wonderful experience"…read more I have hated going to the dentist for as long as I can remember. The trauma was such as a child that my mother would never tell me when we were going to the dentist. However, when we turned that corner and realization struck of our destination all hell would break loose. I would scream all the way to the dentist, in the dentist office, on the dentist chair and all during the appointment until we left and I was sure we were not going back. My phobia for the dentist did not improve through the years and my reluctance impeded my ability to do preventative oral care. I visited the dentist only when I had no other alternatives. I. Had. No. Choice. I developed an infection in a broken root canal. The infection further advanced into a fistula and erupted draining into my mouth. To say I was in pain doesn't cover the half of it. I know I had to go but I was scared. I googled dentists and started reading reviews to get a sense of whom I should choose. It may sound crazy but in this case it really helped. I clicked on Bathurst-Dupont Dental and read the reviews on Dr. Matt Dang. I felt reassured by what I read and made the call, two days later I was in his office. He examined my tooth and took an x-ray and told me what I suspected, the teeth had to be extracted, it simply could not be saved. I expressed my fears and he listened. I was concerned because it meant that I would have to have my gums cut as the teeth had broken in such a way that there was nothing for the dentist to hold onto in order to extract it. After listening to my woes and reassuring me, Dr. Dang gave me a referral to Dr. Tom Manh Nguyen. He also gave me a digital copy of my x-ray that I could simply forward to the Dr. Nguyen myself, how cool is that. It was a refreshingly great visit and I like that he just listened - one of the best character traits in a dentist, the ability to listen and be empathetic. Thanks Dr. Dang.

The hygienists are all so wonderful - extremely knowledgeable and gentle - making cleanings comfortable. Dr Matthew Dang and Dr Jane Yip-Dang are great - their amazing skills and personalities makes this review worth writing. I would definitely recommend this dental office.

I'm so glad I did. And I've been going ever since. The moment you walk in, you're offered coffee, fruit and cozy slippers, all to enjoy by their fireplace. Our stretch of Danforth is really well-served by dentists, but we were very interested in this new, well-appointed "Dental Hygiene Spa" kitty-corner to our local park. We'd heard good things, but only went ourselves very recently. First, and this is important: Impressions isn't a dentist's ofice - it's run by dental hygienists. (The Ontario government made it possible for dental hygienists to operate without a dentist's supervision with the Health System Improvements Act of 2007.) While they can refer you to a dentist, all they can do in-house is cleaning (scaling), polishing, sealing and fluoride treatments. That's enough for me, and I trust that someone who sees teeth all day can recognize a cavity, but they don't have an X-Ray machine, so they can't see between teeth; if that's what you're looking for, look elsewhere. I was really impressed with Impressions. Georgia, the hygienist who worked on my teeth (potentially their only hygienist?), was gentle but very thorough. I had a full examination beforehand, then a full scaling & polish. Before she starts the examination, though, she dips your hand in a bath of (hot, but not boiling) paraffin wax, then puts your hands in plastic bags and then (and I found this part cute!) oven mitts to keep the wax warm longer. I'd never had a paraffin wax treatment, and I really found it made my hands lovely & soft. And to have it at the dentist? unthinkable! My wife generally has trouble with her teeth and needs a lot of thorough cleaning, but she said Georgia was gentle and didn't hurt her gums much, a huge plus for her. Natalie, the receptionist/administrator, was really organized, and she contacted my insurance provider to find out exactly what was covered under my plan, then laid it out for me in a document she prepared. My only gripe is that we had to pay, then wait for the insurance company to reimburse us, rather than the thing I've seen a lot of other dentists do, send the form in to the insurance company and get them to send a cheque directly. She did send the form in for us, though, so it's not all bad news. All-in-all, we were really impressed, and we'll definitely be back. Impressions is a really great addition to the neighbourhood!

But the rent savings are passed down in the form of lower prices And service is good - the Serbian lady is meticulous On the downside, where dental services are concerned they only do cleaning, polishing and fluoride. So if you need a filling you must get a referral to a dentist. And I had to rinse my mouth in what amounted to a storeroom (the dental chair didn't have the integrated tap and sink) But $80 is really cheap and the service is good. If you have insurance you pay even less
