We shared an asparagus gratin to start - some asparagus spears with melted cheese. The components were nice but not sure that putting them together enhanced things.
For mains, I had calf's liver in butter and sage, a traditional dish. The liver was cooked well and nicely seasoned but the accompanying vegetables less so, I'm afraid. My friend's fish was "OK".
We then had a slght problem extracting the bill and paying it. This solved my wavering between 3 and 4 stars.
The view from the outside promised much but sadly, it was only an average dining experience. read more
