My friend and I (16 and 17yrs old) went here during spring break to try out golf for the first time. An older man behind the counter recommended that we don't start golfing and practice on the range first. we bought a basket of balls and rented clubs and when we finished practicing on the basket, we went back inside to start playing on the actual course. By this point a different man was behind the counter but when the older man heard us trying to buy a run on the 9 holes, he came from a back room and rudely said he won't allow us to play and then took our clubs that we had rented. he said that it would be a disaster and he wouldn't let us play no matter what. terrible first experience and we then had to go to a different course where they let us play. needless to say it wasn't a disaster. won't be coming back. read more

Bottom of the barrel course but nice staff. If you're a beginner it's easy to walk and pretty casual. Not my favorite public course in Omaha but they have a large range and affordable range buckets! read more

Milt's is a no-nonsense kind of driving/putting range. And since I'm not by any means a 'hard core' or even 'skilled' golfer, that fits right in with my mantra of golfing to have fun. No dress code, no restrictions, just people having fun hitting some golf balls across from Horseman's Park. For years I never realized they also have a 9-hole par 3 course here too. Not sure what is with all of the stellar reviews, but my wife and I were fooled by them. We bought the groupon for two, which saved us like $2 total off normal prices. I called to ask how busy the range and course were, and talked to someone rude guy be a jerk about a simple question. Upon arrival, we were told we had to rent a second set of clubs as this was his "course rule", in order to keep the speed of play up. My wife and I are fairly skilled golfers and have never had problems playing out of the same bag-especially a small par 3. $3 coors light cans and shitty club rental (which we never used) defeated the purpose of the groupon. Carts were $12 (seriously, for 9 holes. There are only 4 carts anyway) and push carts were $2. The driving range is directly into a headwind-which on Sunday was 15+ knots. It's a field with some markers, and old mats with dried out rubber tees that are too short for most. Let's call it what it is folks - it certainly isn't the highlight of Omaha like these other posts claim. The course was short. Perfect for a beginners par 3 experience. However, no one understands how to space out the teams. We sat behind multiple teams of 5-7 people, who were beginner golfers, so every hole took 15 minutes at the minimum. But we sat and drank our overpriced coors and didn't mind. The only problem with the course is the size of the greens. Way too small to make it enjoyable. And no, this is not the point of the course to make it challenging to advanced golfers. It was just annoying. You can drive to the edge of the green, but every golfer we watched had trouble chipping on, due to the short distance. Makes for a frustrating par 3. The grass is too long on the fairways and basically a forest on the edge. It is also crab grass, dirt, and a regular field as opposed to manicured grass. Basically if you have a field in your back yard, you're better off just hitting away. For $10-15 more we played the previous weekend at Elmwood Golf Course and had a blast. I wouldn't waste your time or money on this course unless you really have no desire to play real golf and don't want to spend an extra $15 for a real experience. read more

I have not yet played the course so this review is solely for the driving range and its amenities. I have recently started to try to improve my golf game and part of that effort is going to the range a bit more often to hit some balls. Milt's is closest to my house, so I've been in a few times the past couple of weeks. The driving range has options for you to either hit off the mats or in grassy areas. There is grass both to the east and west of the mats, which are in the middle behind the main building. The bucket of balls are fairly reasonable and comparable to other places I've been around town. There is also a chipping and putting green to work on your short game. I have no real complaints and would certainly recommend Milt's for anyone wanting to get out and hit a bucket of balls. read more

The tee boxes are horrible. The yardages aren't even close. The greens are in decent shape. The course is full of hacks. You will almost get hit by someone not knowing to yell...FORE! $10 to walk nine holes was great, but it will take you almost two hours to hate life even more than you can in 2020... read more

I am a beginner golfer and this is my first year really trying to get better. I have been going to Milt's about 1-2 times per week for the last 4 months. It's well kept, never too busy, and the staff are super helpful and nice. The owner (?) likes to chat a little bit but that's fine with me, he's a nice guy. The putting green is usually devoid of other golfers so it can be a great place to practice some putting. Also the chipping green is usually pretty devoid of other golfers so I have used that quite a bit to learn to chip a little better. Also, it's pretty cheap when I go (Large bucket and 2 beers for $14.00). As a beginner it can be a bit embarrassing to look like an idiot out on the range, but I feel pretty good at Milt's because I can usually find a spot on the end - or - somewhere I feel comfortable. The other golfers seem to range from pretty dang good to beginner so I don't feel too out of place, unlike Miracle Hills where I always feel like the worst golfer out there. So, for what it's worth, I'd highly recommend Milt's to anyone looking for a casual, friendly, and economical place to practice your game. read more

This is the best par 3 course in town,it is the most well kept family owned course,they hv the friendliest staff and challenging for all level of golfers.They have the best and cheapest driving range, you always have room to either hit of the mats or the grass. If you are lucky, you might also see a few ducks in the water hazard , which u hv to be carful of on the 6th n 7th. The greens are always kept in really good shape, plus they have a flat practice green and a hilly practice green. The fellow golfers over there are always nice and friendly.I would highly recommend it to all my friends and family. read more

In addition to a driving range (with distance markers) and practice chipping/putting green, they offer a nine-hole, par three course that is just challenging enough to make it fun. The place is always well-maintained, and the staff are friendly. I've been going there since the early 90's, and I like it because it is inexpensive and located close to my home. Went to hit some balls and the second I walked in the owner was giving me the death stare. Fiercely said I had 20 minutes to hit balls before they closed. I asked him if I could finish my balls if I gave him my bucket while he was finishing closing up. He instantly started yelling at me told me to leave and never come back. He even went around the counter and got in my face. I will never go here again and recommend the same for anyone. No respect whatsoever. read more

I learned to golf here some 15+ years ago. The driving range/putting green/chipping and putting green and the little par 3 nine hole course are ideal for newbies. I think the longest hole is 175-ish. The greens are small so there is a challege for better golfers too. Walking rates are cheap, like $9. I still play this course once or twice a year just to work on my distance control. Putting greens are in great shape. The range balls are ok. The yardage markers seem way off. Proshop doesn't seem to have as many items as it use too. They offer some food too... not sure if they still offer warm food. The owners can be odd and chatty. When I was a kid they seemed very unfriendly so if you drop your kids off to golf (with no parent) they tend to assume they will do something wrong and watch you like a hawk. I had this issue and so did/does me 3 stepsons. Overall. Not a bad little course to learn on, practice and just enjoy golf. read more

Dreary weather day so i went to Milts to walk 9 because i figured no one would be there. Got there at like 7:10 with no one on the course and Milt tells theres is no way i would have time to walk 9 or hit a a bucket of jumbo balls. Ill be back to give him my money but come old man grow up. read more

Driving range is fantastic with plenty of distance markers. You can hit from grass or the mat, whichever you prefer. There are many places to hit from. The putting green and chipping green look nice although I didn't try them. The one guy in the pro shop was really nice, told me I can come by his house and try buy some used golf balls from him for $.50 apiece but I politely refused. Nice guy though. The one thing I had a problem with was how small their greens are. Sure it's an all par 3 course but their greens are tiny! The longest putt you can possibly make is a 25 footer and I'm not kidding. The rough around the green was a little long too so it was tougher getting on the greens. There was no "fairway" where you could be confident in putting right off the edge of the green. I know this is more of a beginners course but I would think it could gain some confidence for new players if the greens were a little bigger. Nothing you can really fix per se I just think the greens are pretty small that's all. Other than that, great facility great price and great staff. read more

So I came here to hit a bucket of balls. Almost an hour later, I had hit all the balls in my bucket. I wanted to hit a couple more shots with my 7 iron, and there were 2 balls in front of me about 10 feet away. Before I go any further, keep in mind that there was only 1 other person hitting on the range. So, I walk 10 feet to go grab them, but before I bent down to pick them up, I hear an old guy yelling. I couldn't understand what he was saying nor did I know who he was talking to. There were some people walking to the parking lot who thought he was talking to them, and I thought the same thing. So I turn back around, pick the 2 balls up, walk 10 feet back, hit them both, as soon as I'm putting my stuff in my bag getting ready to leave I hear a cart driving up to me. It was the old guy whom I believe runs the place. He stops right next to me and starts yelling at me. He says "I fucking told you not to go out on the field and you did it anyways you jackoff!" And I told him I'm sorry and that I couldn't understand him and I didn't know who he was talking to. He said "bullshit" and then proceeded to yell at me and call me a "jackoff". In the middle of all that, he told me to "get out of here" and "never come back". So I told him he was being an asshole and walked away. Completely unnecessary of him. I was planning on going there twice a week to hit range, but not anymore. Like are you really that poor to give that much of a shit if I walk 10 feet to grab 2 balls from the range? What a fucking idiot. Fuck that guy, I hope he gets coronavirus. read more

Too expensive for what few balls come in a basket. There is hardly any grass to shoot from. Everything is driving from mats. I find it more than curious that Azeem posted such a glowing review given that his girlfriend is the daughter of the owner of Milt's. I know, strictly coincidental. There are better and cheaper places around the Metro area to hit a couple of baskets of balls. read more

Just for a laugh, I came here today. Not surprisingly, the clowns who run this place think is reasonable to raise all the rates by a $1 (again). $12 for a jumbo bucket - really?! But forget about the price, they still have not figured out how to properly maintain grass. I know it is early, but I also know when there is no chance of a landscaping problem getting resolved. This place is beyond repair. Where you are supposed to hit balls is so hilly, there is not a single flat spot to plant your feet, it's just amazing. It all needs to be completely tilled up and replanted, but will they do that? Hell no, they will continue to rip off all their customers until they have none. But there's not shortage of bad golfers who come here to just hack it up, that is clearly the target audience. If you can hit a shot over 200 yards, go somewhere else. If you are skilled at digging trenches with a 7-iron, come on down to Milt's you will fit right in! read more
