It's all fun and games until finding a park right by the river and train tracks. Well, in this case, it works out here. Coming into Milton Landing Park is quick scenic and easy to find, with two being a pro. There's a decent amount of parking, but enough to fill some in.
The best part about it is, that there's plenty of space to move around as a pedestrian. Across the railroad tracks is a field of grass to explore with benches and also two docks to walk up onto the Hudson River. Be careful of the winds, especially when wearing any head gears. On the parking lot side, there is a building that was once a train station and remains still to this day. Near it, there are three panic tables to sit at an old train track to walk on, and a building that cuts the track off.
It's a wonderful place to kill time and watch some freight trains come by with a ding sound at the crossing, instead of a gate. read more
