The lot is big enough for a good two dozen vehicles, and the entrance and the beginning of the Black Creek trail comes right off the far end of the parking lot. The suspension bridge is pretty and gives a great view of the creek, and leads right into yellow trail, which we didn't pick. Black Creek trail has a mostly gentle slope, fully paved, and is about 0.6 mile long, and it culminates in Cedar Point Outlook with a gazebo and a large open field with several benches where the creek really opens up. There's a restroom next to what looks like a caretaker's cottage. We couldn't figure out how to get to the other outlooks from Cedar Point, so if anyone knows, please share. I appreciate this space being maintained and open for all to enjoy. **You can only enter and exit the parking lot one way, so please watch for the signs.

The majority of the park includes multiple trails, including an Observation Tower, highlighting the wonderful view across the Hudson River, including south and north. The trees are in a way that limits a great view looking west. I enjoyed the view, and it was well worth it. The driveway I took is one lane, so do take caution while driving and pass carefully when necessary. Cronomer is on my checklist.

Getting to the peak has loads of great views. Some places on the trail is pretty unclear where to go, as we ended going off the trail. It took a bit to notice, and I was asking to my friend, "where's the red marker?" 15 minutes in (see photo). We ended up turning around. Silly us. Just keep an eye out for it on the tree barks. If someone's not in best shape, it's good to stop once in awhile to catch a breath. Go slow in areas where it's very steep. On a side note, *Definitely bring water bottles.* We never got to the end of the trail, but that will be for another trip.

While you might find people still walking into the forest during hunting season they do so at their own risk. Hunters do sit out there at appropriate (legal) times of the year waiting for their prey. I warn because I didn't realize this and had a hunter warn me sternly that I was unintentionally putting myself at risk when the forest was off limits to hiking, walking & biking. The hunting warning aside the forest really is massive in size but I wouldn't call it difficult at all to walk. I could say it's a great beginner hiking spot since the elevation gain throughout the forest is well below 1K. I've hit some decent points but nothing like hiking an actual mountain. The forest I believe has something like over 20 miles of trails for foot, hiking and even horse back riding traffic. Some portions are swampy areas so be cautious where you step if you venture off the beaten path. There's plenty of parking space to fill each row while providing enough room. It's pretty easy to pessimistic in the lot which shouldn't lead to chaos. Depending on the time of day will determine how crowded it will be. Something that caught my eye was I did not see a map of the park, which is a big turnoff. Finding my way to the path was not hard, thanks to having a color assigned to the trail. One trail leading toward the east will come out to the Wappingers Creek, with it branching to another trail heading south and the other north. The trail running parallel will lead to a dead end. The other park seen is the Wappinger Creek Greenway Trail across the creek. The other trail toward the beginning goes uphill towards the Eastdale apartment buildings. Another trail just before the branch contains a loop trail. There's a total of three trails, green (the main), yellow, and red. Some of the trails have grass in the way. Awesome park and trail, but please provide a map at the physical site to up my rate.

Hearing the name and coming to the trail is just a treat every time. I have many starting points on…read moremy visits and my favorite is from Lake Walton to Hopewell Junction, and of course round trip. The rail trail goes from the Walkway Over the Hudson to Hopewell making it a 14.3-mile trail on this certain part. The whole trail is part of the Empire State Trail connecting from NYC to Buffalo or Rouses Point toward the Canada border. Some other trails along the way are being worked on to bring them up to standards in areas. Enjoy the scenery along the trail, offering many straightaways along with some hills, and trees to be covered. Beware of bikers if you're walking or running. It's best to stay on the side at all times if the case. It's a 4.9 on my rating because there are limited bathrooms along the way, so please plan accordingly. With that said, enjoy the beautiful trail!

Getting directions to Tymor is no issue, with a small parking lot on Tymor Park Road. There is a huge field that is not hard to miss with a baseball field along with tennis and a soccer field. There is a pavilion and also another building that has a bathroom. A playground is provided for a lot to do. Since the property is big, there are also trails to explore, which are very scenic in the woods for the most part, and a nice view of the pond called Furnace Pond. This section is very enjoyable and a pleasure to look at. Definitely got to check out the other trails. Worth the visit in the 845 and Hudson Valley, trust me.

The Muller Pond Trail is a loop trail that highlights the lake, which isn't the cleanest and most pleasant to look at. With the trails being marked well, the only big complaint I have is the bugs, and also the mud I come across. To me, that kind of ruins the fun and experience. It would be nice to see wooden boards added, along with bridges as well. Take note of that on the hike. This is still a great choice to make the stop.
