    Baja Fish Taco with fries
    Paul P.

This place used to be Reifschneiders. Meet my daughter for dinner. I ordered Rueben wrap. It was delicious and had horseradish sauce in it. Daughter had Baja fish taco. She said it was good. Thanks

The newly renovated front bar area is very nice too! The exposed brick and the wood bar keep the vibes cozy and inviting. The back bar area has plenty of room for dining and socializing. Wait staff are friendly and helpful and have gone out of their way to accommodate my kids and their tastes. We have been to several community events here. They offer traditional bar fare and appetizers, but in the past several years, they have expanded the German food menu. You really can't go wrong with any of it! On Wednesdays, Tiny's offers soup flights and all of the choices are excellent.

The food wasn't very good, my friend ordered German potato salad, but got coleslaw, which was turning bad. Potato skins were wedges - not much cheese and very little bacon. We had to ask for every refill of soda/water, even though we tipped well, we waited at least 15 minutes for the bill until the guy behind the bar noticed and came to our assistance. We stayed and talked, but somebody turned the music up so loud we had to go outside to finish our conversation. Neither of us will return.

The prices are very reasonable. When we asked about specialty coffee drinks, our server showed us an electronic tablet-- we had to pass it around to read our options. They were all very sweet concoctions named for desserts, and the ones my companions chose were indeed so pumped with syrup and flavors and sprinkles that the taste of coffee was nowhere to be found. Our food was just fine. The waffle was sweet and fluffy. The Berry Salad was exactly as described: iceberg, lettuce, berries, pecans. The berries were fresh; the chicken was heavily seasoned (mostly salty and saturated) and the poppyseed dressing was very sweet. The quiche had plenty of spinach in it but was rather rubbery (I know quiche can be tricky-- it has a really long cooking time so it can't be made to order, and rewarming does it no favors) and the potato soup was okay. Both the salad and the quiche/soup combo had a croissant on the side; they seemed similar to the ones purchased by the dozen at Costco. Mine seemed dry on the outside with a faint moldy taste in the bottom. The patio was very pleasant, and inside looked cozy. The staff did a great job of making everyone feel welcome and keeping our glasses refilled and such. There's a big parking lot adjacent, though many of the spots say they're reserved for a different business. I saw that high chairs are available. Gendered restrooms are inside. The place accepts cash and credit cards.

The inside feels like a small town restuarant. They have a huge bar with TONS of options. We didn't do any drinking, but it's definitely a good spot for it. I imagine weekend evenings are a blast here. Their menu is pretty extensive, something for everyone. My husband got the pulled pork, and it had really great flavor. Super tender too. I got the fried beef tacos and they were so unique and tasty, I loved the bam bam sauce on them. Their servings are perfect size too. Service was attentive the whole time. Such a good experience, if we lived in the area we would definitely recommend it!

Pretty chill atmosphere, right off the bat - no uniforms for the servers just comfy clothing. We chose one of the rooms, just opposite the bar. Alexis quickly greeted us and served us our drinks. As we waited for her to come back to take our order, I admired the cool decor. It's very farm-esque, of course, as Millstadt is a farming town. Paintings of farm animals, vintage Coca Cola signs, etc. The music was lightly playing near the bar and it was pretty busy in there but not loud. Big screens above the bar played racing and the TV's were on near us but I could barely hear the sound, just closed captioned. I appreciated the fact that I could really enjoy my time with my dad and be able to hear him. I ordered a cup of chili and Cesar salad combo. I was very impressed with the chili! It's a go-to and if the chili impresses- I'm bound to try other things at any restaurant. It had just the right amount of kick and great flavor. The Cesar salad was off to me; it was drenched in Cesar salad dressing, the croutons at the bottoms and very little lettuce. However, the flavor of the dressing impressed, it was just too much for me. I would definitely order the salad again, but be sure and ask for the dressing on the side.. which is totally my mistake because I usually do and forgot this time. Overall, it was very tasty. My dad, being from the south, knows his gumbo! He ordered it to try, along with the pulled pork sandwich and fries. From first bite, he kept saying how good everything was. He said the gumbo was probably the best he's had from any restaurant. He was just as impressed with the pork and said it was fantastic. The guy isn't even into sauces and complimented that as well. The fries were crispy, that goodness because the guy doesn't play with crap fries. :) Overall, the service was great - Alexis was excellent! A sweet young lady, super fast and attentive. And it's always an A+ when I see a waitress be super kind with my dad. Well, done, Alexis! When we were ready to pay, she was busy with the manager and the nice bartender gal came over and took our check - it was nice to not leave us waiting. Very mindful staff, good customer service & that speaks volumes! Flavorful, all around! Pretty cool place. We will be back to try more on the menu. GREAT JOB, Spike's!

Both feel like elevated, unexpected gems in a small town. I ordered the fried chicken dinner with the half chicken portion, and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was juicy and flavorful with perfectly crispy, crunchy skin. The service was excellent, and our waitstaff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout the evening. The restaurant itself was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The restrooms were also spotless and well maintained. It is clear that a lot of care goes into every aspect of the guest experience. My only minor criticism is the size of the drink glasses. Once ice is added, there is not much room left for the actual beverage. My parents found themselves needing refills more frequently than they typically would at other restaurants. It was not a major issue, but slightly larger glasses might make things more convenient for both guests and staff. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and will definitely be back. Being observant is part of great service... ambiance has a lot to come desired way to many young teenage girls running around...not what I'd expect for a couple of drinks and $100 tab! Had three appetizers stuffed portabella mushrooms I'd give a 3 no taste, Mac and cheese bites dry and tasteless a 2 (bought some at schnucks a few weeks ago and they were much better) the steak skewers maybe a 2.5 had so much what they called pesto which looked and tasted like wet grass, once we removed the wet grass the steak was over cooked but well seasoned... My suggestion would be to hire a new chef and decide a direction or speciality focus (Italian, American or gastro pub and stick with it! Sorry but third strike you're out, we won't be back!
