After getting a number of estimates, Daniel Tree Service was by far the best price. Additionally, while other companies said they could get the work done in the next two months, Daniel Tree Service said they could get it done within two weeks. Now that the work is done, you can barely tell anything was in my yard. My yard was left nearly spotless, and I'm excited to have a clean slate. Daniel Tree Service was cheap, quick and extremely professional.

Be cautious with Tom Taber's Whole Tree Care by Trapper's Tree Service. I recommended their…read moreservices to two of my neighbors, but afterwards discovered problems with their last job for me (e.g., the stump grind in 2016). Gale (I assume their sub-contractor) was to contact me BEFORE coming out to do the tree stump grind so I could give my neighbor a heads-up to remove their fence panel for complete stump access. Not only did Gale (or anyone from Trapper's for that matter contact me in advance) but the job was done when I was out of town. Since I was not home (or notified) I did not have time to request that my neighbor have his fence panel removed which he agreed to do if I gave him the heads up. The fence panel needed to be removed so that the grinder could access the complete stump via my neighbor's property. Also, this company left me with a huge pile of mulched wood to clean up which I would have been more than happy to pay to be removed. Once I removed the large pile of mulched wood from the stump area, to my disappointment I found that the stump grind had not been completed. I followed up with this company with no return phone calls or emails. I can not recommend this company.

When I contacted JK with the issue I was told he found it hard to believe it was not glued (why would I make that up it's a safety issue). And he would send someone one more time. One more time? I recently moved to Ohio and my new home needed help in the backyard. When I first reached out to…read moreJK Landscaping LLC and the owner, Josh, was quick to contact me. He came out and listened to what I needed and was able to make suggestions. He took the time to walk all of my property and explain what was needed to fix my drainage issue in my backyard. Not only did he and his team fix the issue but also made the fix look really nice and reseeded my back yard as well. Josh is great and really cares about his customers. His entire team worked hard and did a fantastic job. A pleasant group of young men. I will be using JK Landscaping again to do some decorative landscaping and replace my fence in the future. The photos, taken after a rain storm, show the area that used to be a "pond" after every rain. No more pond!

I had a large tree removed from my front yard, which was overhanging both my and my neighbor's…read morehouses. The work was difficult because of the size and location of many of the branches. My initial call for an estimate was easy, and scheduling was very organized and easy. The estimator showed up on time and gave several options on the quote, and provided a business card in the event of questions. After signing the invoice, my removal was scheduled. I received several reminder notifications and the crew arrived on time. The removal was very professional and they had all of the equipment to keep it safe and efficient. The entire tree was removed hours ahead of the estimated time, and this crew did an incredible job with cleanup. There was not so much as a twig left in my yard on completion. This company is really outstanding in their focus on the customer and the professional manner in which they operate. I'm very confident in their abilities and they were truly professional in all aspects of what they do. The owner of this company must be very proud of what they built. As a consumer, I wish every contractor experience matched this one.

I spoke with James Holmes and hired this company to do a small landscaping job…read more There were MULTIPLE issues along the way. The end result at this point is that the job was NEVER COMPLETED and JAMES HAS NOT RETURNED A $748.50 PAYMENT I made for half the invoice. ISSUES 1) James didn't put me on the calendar for March 16th after we spoke the day before and him saying he would stop by to check out the work I was wanting to have done. Okay... no big deal. It was a Sunday and he came the next day. Followed up with a professional quote via email soon after. 2) On the day work was scheduled to be done, April 5th, I didn't hear from James until I reached out via text to see if he was coming. He replied that he had been looking for my number... by this point we had spoken on the phone, texted, the company had emailed me and I had paid $748.50 for half the job to James on Venmo. There were multiple, multiple ways to contact me. Okay... it was raining and the explanation he gave of sod not being available due to the heavy rain checked out. 3) April 14th James said he needed to issue me a refund because he wouldn't be able to complete the job. He was dealing with a tragedy in the family and was taking time away from work. I was supposed to receive a refund in 7-9 business days. Okay... obviously a tragedy. I would have even understood some delay in him processing the refund. 4) When the refund didn't show up after 13 business days, I texted James. He had always been responsive prior to this but all of a sudden was unreachable...except when I called from a different number. I tried to make him refunding the money as easy as possible... I sent him a Venmo request to send the payment back. I emailed the invoice I had paid. When I did speak with him after calling from a different phone number, he said he would look into the refund issue. IT HAS BEEN MORE THAN 1 MONTH NOW SINCE THE JOB WAS CANCELED AND THE REFUND PROMISED. THE JOB HAS NOT BEEN COMPLETED AND THE REFUND HAS NOT BEEN MADE. CALLS, TEXTS AND EMAILS HAVE NOT BEEN RETURNED. In addition to the issues mentioned above, the red flags should have been that the company does not list a physical address and it takes payments on Venmo. I do not recommend you hire this company.

After leaving a lukewarm review the owner contacted me through yelp messaging and tried to argue…read morewith the points I made in my review about not quoting the full job, having to come back with an additional charge, and not following directions when planting shrubs. After arguing for a bit he apologized for coming at me so aggressively, and then offered to replace two of the shrubs that had died (apparently they had the shrubs on warranty and didn't let me know to reach out if they died). That was a month ago, and he no-called no-showed on the shrub replacement. Owner is lacking in professionalism and follow through. Does a decent job, but I wouldn't hire again based on the communication issues, billing issues, and aggressive response to reviews.
