The newest Pokémon card sets are nearly impossible to find elsewhere, yet somehow, Chris's Comics always has them in stock. They also buy cards--something I plan on taking advantage of soon--and sell singles for collectors looking for specific finds. My wife loves her stuffies so walking in and seeing a display stand of stuffables was a treat. We both play D&D on occasion and their dice selection was a lovely surprise for the both of us. This kind of dismissive behavior isn't uncommon in comic book shops. Having been a regular reader for years, I can confidently say there's a certain hipster element embedded in comic culture that lacks the self-awareness that the "better-than-you" attitude is a dime a dozen. I place my weekly pulls with Casablanca Comics, where the staff are not only enjoyable to talk with, but actually remember your name and want to help. This shouldn't discount the efforts of the other, surely more personable employees--nor at least a visit or two to check out their selection--but it definitely detracts from any kind of regular patronage.

They also have a bunch of card games and board games. In the past, I stopped in and there were a bunch of folks in a side room playing an online video game. Unfortunately, COVID had a bit of an impact on that business. It sounded like they are trying to work out a new contract to get that going again.
